Extremely fun game. Some of the characters are bad, but you can ignore and just have a blast.
what do you mean maintenance for a nearly 10 year old game, and the maintenance takes more than 3 hours, ubisoft i already know whats wrong with you, but tell me again, just WHAT is WRONG with YOUR
this game is open world massive map and a lot to do definitely recommend to anyone.
I suddenly haven't been able to open prestige crates??? anyone else having this absurd issue. Otherwise this game is top notch and loads of fun.
do not buy this game on pc it is riddled with bugs, from convoys being invisible, the ai squad and enemy being brain-dead, they just don't move half the time, or the game just crashing randomly at times while you're in missions if you're gonna buy this game do it on console. other than that ghost recon wildlands is a great game and i do recommend you try it
it seems this is no longer a cared at all by Ubisoft, i know it is an older game but when i first tried to open a crate i was greeted with "Ubisoft services are not available at this time. Please try again later" so of course i look up the error and discover not only is this a reoccurring issue has been going on for 2 days days...(now for a total of 5 days) this is not a good impression for someone who's never played a Tom Clancy Ghost Recon game... I'm going to assume this is the EOL for wildland and not ever going to be fixed and since i'm still within the return policy and i am going to request a refund... i feel sorry for all the players that have been playing this game, love it and are being screwed over by ubisoft's lack of care. I hope it gets fixed for them but when a company no longer cares about the monetary section of their game and 5 days is an amazing amount of lack of care it's probably over for that game...
Fun tactical shooter with all of Bolivia as a playground. Only problem is Ubisoft and their DLC and multiple launcher and DRM nonsense.
spawning in 16 rebels to fight with you is really funny, also the game looks good and the stealth is fun
Gameplay is engaging for a casual gamer like myself. The environments are beautiful. The vehicles are fun. Check it out.
One of the best games I've ever played... I wish they would've continued with a whole series on the cartel. Cause just like in real life, one head boss falls and another rises!
very fun because you can choose stealth or rogue (both work just fine),amazing missions (except that one with fucking sam fisher) but can be time consuming, weapons are all good and help in any situation, and perfect weapon and clothing customization,it's a game that anyone would like or love even if it's their first time
while it is objectively an unpolished, poorly thought out, buggy mess, it is a very fun buggy mess
So much fun solo or with friends, ghost mode is the only way to play imo. If you do play ghost mode, don't pop a drone on the side of a helicopter and don't just stand on boats or vehicles, take a seat.
First 1.8 hours, beautiful world. However that is all I got from this ...
Pros
+ beautiful
Cons
- Have to connect to play and be connected to play
- Only been able to connect to servers once in 8 tries so far....
- Can't play game if you cannot connect (my internet speed is averaging 120 MBs)
O jogo tinha tudo para ser bom, mas há vários problemas de conexão na hora de jogar com meus amigos
This game is very fun. It requires you to be very tactical and stealthy. Great game overall
Game not bad. but before play need call your internet provider and fix NAT problems to play it online
love this game completed it 3 times , once in console and 2 times in laptop
Ubisoft games is good but their steam achievement is too late as i already finish this game long time ago
Probably one of the last really good games made by Ubisoft. The setting is in Bolivia, and it looks great. AI is also pretty good in enemies.
I generally always come back to this game. It is just really fun and relaxing.
I haven't gotten any expansions, but I have read mixed reviews on it. I also have not played any co op or public games yet, but maybe in future.
If you like good squad control, fun vehicles, great gun play and a very expansive map than this game is for you.
This game is a ton of fun. There is a lot of repetition in the activities as is typical in this style of game, but the story that you are uncovering and the bosses that you take down are entertaining.
Cannot play any more after the lasted Steam OS update 3.7.8. I’ve noticed that the mountains and stuff are buggy
Tried any and all of the methods suggested to get it running, but it simply refuses to work. Issues like this with Ubisoft games are becoming more and more common.
This game was honestly the better one compared to Breakpoint but it also contained the same ol' Ubisoft open world formula of do this, get this collectible, and dismantle this organisation from the ground up.
It was fun at first and very enjoyable especially with trying to go all stealthy and stuff. But it eventually becomes a slog after a long playthrough.
8/10 would play this again and ngl would recommend for you all the play this.
Just don't start the DLC straight after you finish the main game as you may probably feel a bit of burn out after finishing the main story.
Although driving mechanics don't feel refined, and it's third-person view only, not first-person, and lacks an engaging story, the game is still very very good.
- Tactical fights
- AI is smart, both friends and foes.
- Interesting missions.
Taking down a cartel is very fun. Haven't played a game like this yet. The map is really big, tons of things to do besides the main missions like gun collecting, side missions, crossovers, etc. Highly recommend.
boring, dull, no depth, nothing going for it. lifeless world, same mission over and over
Such an alive detailed world with rewarding, smooth gameplay. 9/10
Waste of time. Its another ubitrash open world game. Locks all attachments & weapons behind running around the map OR of course, MONEY$$$$.
When I am posting this review I am JUST NOW finishing collecting all weapons, attachments, bonus medals, and skill points. I do not recommend you to waste your time.
I'll most likely finish the game but good god, making the game miserable to play in the hopes your player will give up and just buy it all is so lame.
Simply trying to open the game for the first time is like pulling teeth. The Ubisoft app is useless and won't download no matter how hard I try. Forcing one to download another app just to play your game is beyond retarded.
While the single-player experience is great, I'm also thankful for the ability to play online co-op, which allowed me to experience the world with my friends.
This is what you call a truly mid game. While the whole recon, stealth and engage system is perfect; the story and the characters are super forgettable (except the mc and the 3 ai teammates, they are cool); the regular side missions are copy paste slop but the special collab side missions are awesome(only four btw). So yeah 6/10 for me.
The gunplay is fun, and the clothing options are cool, but gameplay is mediocre and incredibly repetitive. Also just like other dog crap Ubisoft PC steam ports, it runs like dog water.
Great fun, excellent gameplay, freedom of choice to how you want to complete your missions, a plethora of arms and customization options, a beautiful world to explore to your hearts content and Sam Fischer. What more can you ask for nobody's here for the forgettable story.
My favorite part in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands was when Nomad said "It's Ghost Recon Wilding time!" Before getting run over by a random ass civilian!
I remember the first time I played Ghost Recon Wildlands.
It was the spring of 2017. I was twenty-two, standing on the edge of adulthood, searching for something vast enough to get lost in.
A friend had been talking about it for weeks, and one evening, almost on a whim, I bought the disc.
But it wasn’t just a game.
It was a map to another world.
It was Wildlands.
I installed it, turned on the console, and Bolivia stretched out before me — endless mountains, dusty villages, rivers glinting under the burning sun.
I spent that whole night learning to move slowly again, to scout, to plan, to breathe before pulling the trigger.
The stealth, the firefights, the moments of pure silence broken only by the wind — it wrapped around me like a second skin.
I wasn’t playing it.
I was living it.
Then came dozens of missions, late-night raids, and quiet helicopter rides over sleeping valleys.
I learned every province, every cartel leader’s stronghold, every path over the hills.
And without any guide — just a map, a marker, and a stubborn will — I built my story, piece by piece.
It wasn’t just a playground.
It was my war.
It was home.
Every now and then, my closest friends would join me.
We weren’t soldiers.
We were just tired kids looking for something bigger than ourselves.
I still remember those perfect moments — when the plan went wrong, when the alarm blared, when everything turned to chaos — and we laughed like madmen, scrambling to survive.
We didn’t need perfect runs.
We needed memories.
It was our refuge.
It was our bond.
And now, eight years later, I go back.
The world has changed. I have changed. I’m thirty-one now.
And those friends? They’ve moved away, chasing dreams in different cities.
Yet every time I boot up Wildlands, it’s like stepping into a painting no one else can see.
The graphics are softer now, the servers quieter — but the heart is untouched.
Every sunset, every thunderstorm, every whispered radio call speaks in a language only my memory knows.
It’s the heartbeat of another life.
It’s the breath of a world where we were unstoppable.
Ghost Recon Wildlands isn’t just a game.
It’s a time machine.
It’s a second chance to feel free, to feel fearless, to feel alive.
And as the rotors whir over the endless horizon, I remain there.
Fingers on the controller...
And a tear I cannot tell — whether it’s sorrow or gratitude.
online play doesnt work. Tried multiple solutions and nothing worked. i only bought this game to play with friends and all of them couldnt get the online to work too. In hindsight I shouldve expected this since its ubisoft
Bought to play co-op with Girlfriend, required open NAT type and port forwarding?
This is a 2017 game!? Ubisoft have no excuse for this ancient ass networking.
Bought the game because i remember it was fun and exciting, BUT when i played it back in 2017 you didn't need a ubisoft account! i tried to recover my old account and when it got to the verification email code they just wouldn't send it!, i made a new account and even then when i requested a verification code via email it wouldn't send. so i cant even play the game because of their absolute crap requirements in needing to use a ubisoft account even though im already on a steam account. so cant play any ubisoft games at all because their customer service is 0/10 and they literally wont let me make an account..
what a downhill company....But hey the game is good from what i remember
This is a 10/10 game, really good gameplay, attention to details, I enjoyed! If you can get the game on sale, do it!
both breakpoint and wildlands is fun as hell, so worth it i feel like special forces
Cool military shooter with the standard Ubisoft world exploring seen in similar games like Far Cry. I recommend this game with friends, but you can play alone. A wide range of equipment is available for use in the game, and a lot of customization as well, so for any military enthusiasts out there, this game offers a lot of unique + familiar equipment. This game goes on sale often, so I would buy it then.
Wildlands is a good game but you must download Ubisoft Connect in order to play.
Great game to PVE with friends. Huge map with a large variety of environments. Great playground to explore with a big amount of possibilities to try different approaches to tackle the missions. Jump in a party chat with your friends and have fun for hours.
That said, expect Ubisoft level of finishing. Not the most polished animations, transitions and history.
Still LOTS OF FUN if enjoyed with friends.
This game is an absolute masterpiece. Where Division was run and gun, this is a stealth approach, and it makes you appreciate both games and what the devs did. I still can't believe how underwhelming Breakpoint turned out to be, It's just...shocking when you compare the games side by side. I'm a solo player and look for campaign, so for that alone, Wildlands will always be superior. It still astonishes me after playing Breakpoint, I would never return and continue to return to Wildlands without any feeling of remorse. If you are familiar with the camps in Far Cry, that's what this game is like, however, you are third person and when you fire, it's in first person (you can fire in third person if you'd like but it's lame) which was quite creative at the time. I love the campaign of taking out a Mexican/Bolivian Cartel in Bolivia,
Amazing under rated game! Enjoyed more then Red Dead. Slow is Fast, Fast is slow! Hard is actually hard and will force you to slow down. The best Sniper is the helicopter. So many different things to do. Large Open Map, Dirt bikes, trophy trucks, aircraft, boats and more! The Ai can be annoying sometimes but other wise to me this is a 8/10 game!
It's a great game. A couple of flaws you learn to accept over time: Your called in vehicles will, more often than not, either be spawned a distance away from you or in an awkward position depending on where you call it from. Your squad mates can loose sight on targets during sync shots and this can be irritating, but is realistic as targets can enter and exit buildings during sync shots. Apart from that, you have a great selection of weapons that you unlock via chests in POIs, and you can even buy some cosmetic stuff if you want a particular look for you and your equipment. It's a massive amp with plenty of missions and sub missions to do, the combat is awesome, you can just engage an enemy compound if you feel like getting into a firefight. Tactics win the day, using your drone to tag enemies is a must and stealth will help you not get killed too much. This game is really well made and you will have a lot of fun playing it
1. Ubisoft Launcher is a pain and unnecessary.
2. Game doesn't receive both analog inputs simultaneously. This means I can't move and shoot at the same time. I cannot turn while running straight.
I will ALWAYS recommend this game to players.
Pretty sure i already have? I don't get why i'm being asked again...
The ONLY downside to this game now, is the Coop element is more complicated because Ubi decided to cut support and go all in on Breakpoint and their other franchises...
I will NOT recommend breakpoint, as i found it to be not remotely as good as Wildlands. I can't remember much outside of The Weapon dmg is one of those "Lvl 1 pistol 5-6 dmg" type deals. NOT interested in that.
BUT ANYWAY, this is WILDLANDS, in a HUGE map (made records at the time) and you got a cartel to bring down! the map has "provinces" that has a Bouchon to take on with various missons. The weapons and their attachments are all over as well. Hints in the description i think.
Beware hardcore mode for a real challenge, and top it off with Tier 1 Mode!
According to Ubisoft in a recent court case: "You don't own your games."
I also no longer purchase Ubisoft products.
