Sniper Elite 3

The game mechanics are incredibly satisfying—especially the sniping system. The X-ray kill cam never gets old, and the bullet physics add a whole layer of realism that makes every shot feel earned. I also really appreciate the balance between stealth and action; it gives you the freedom to approach missions your own way. Definitely one of the best tactical shooters I’ve played. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys precision and strategy in their gameplay!

Sniper Elite 3 changes fairly little from the gameplay of V2, but that’s largely because so little needed to be changed. It adds some weapon customisation, but that’s about it in terms of mechanics. But I feel like this is, in a number of ways, a big step up from V2, a refinement of these core mechanics. The levels are a lot more open, giving you a number of ways of approaching your objectives, and these objectives are quite diverse and interesting. North Africa is a great setting for this sort of game, definitely a theatre of the war that hasn’t been used enough, and while the main story doesn’t seem to take itself very seriously, it’s serviceable. The DLCs are good, if a lot more linear than the base game, and it has a decent bit of replay value with this openness and the number of collectibles, which are a lot more interesting than the basic ones from V2. I had a few bugs, but they were largely cosmetic - UI glitches and enemies’ skin not actually disappearing during X-ray shots - but every now and then my gun would seemingly get caught on level geometry and just not let me shoot, even though I should’ve been able to. Still, this is a fantastic game, one I’d definitely recommend.

Coop with a friend was the reason why I got this game. No matter what we try from solutions found on the internet, nothing seems to allow us to play in co-op, which is odd considering that multiplayer works fine, and co-op works fine in previous game as well.

Reality behavior of enemies. User friendliness.

For me this is the second best sniper elite game, only behind sniper elite 4. The game is very simple but it can be difficult especially on difficulties sniper elite and higher, would recommend this for people who like stealth and sniper games.The only problem that I have is that the saving system is random, it wont save after you finish an objective so if you die you will be forced to start over from where the game last saved, but other than that I find the game very fun and entertaining

The protagonist is such a good sniper... it's almost like he's elite... 3

The game itself is great, the combat, movement, xrays, sniping, and environments are all AAA quality and a solid foundation for the rest of the series, on mission 3 it crashes no matter what I try to do to fix it. If you haven't already play sniper elite 4 instead, it goes on 90% sales all the time, and its an improvement in every way

Also as for Diffculties i think this game Goes Greatly for new and Experienced players just try the Hardest Diffcutly lol.

Other than the completely broken enemy detection system, this game is really fun.

I really enjoyed this game! Sniper Elite 3 does an awesome job of making you feel like a true sniper behind enemy lines. The maps are open and give you a lot of freedom to approach missions however you like—whether you want to go stealthy and silent or set traps and pick off enemies from a distance.

The X-ray kill cam never gets old, and lining up those long-range shots is super satisfying. I also liked the setting in North Africa; it’s a nice change from the usual WWII environments. The stealth mechanics are solid, and planning your attacks feels rewarding.

If you’re into tactical shooters or just love sniping, I’d definitely recommend giving this a try. I had a lot of fun with it!

Just finished playing this on my Youtube channel (link at end of review for anyone wanting to see a gameplay sample before buying). As of the posting of this review, I've only played two Sniper Elite games - V2 Remastered and this one. Whilst I do intend to play more in the series, as of right now, Sniper Elite 3 is probably my favourite of the titles I have played.

If you've played any other Sniper Elite game, then you know what to expect here in terms of gameplay. You undertake missions, stealthily infiltrating enemy positions and taking them down with the aid of your trusty sniper rifle. The story in this one is that you're on the tail of a German officer in North Africa, who is plotting to develop a powerful weapon that could turn the tide of the war in that theatre. Nothing special, but it's engaging enough.

For me, what made this one stand out was the choice of theatre. I always like it when WW2 games break out of the more commonly-depicted theatres such as D-Day, Stalingrad etc - and North Africa is always a good choice, in my books. On top of that, much of the gameplay felt nice and smooth, and I really liked quite a few of the map designs - such as Fort Rifugio, the Siwa Oasis, and more. Not much else for me to say on this front!

There were a few minor technical issues that I did have, however. On three separate occasions, I did encounter moments where the game froze up and crashed. Not sure if this was a problem with the game or my PC, though, but if it's the game then that's slightly annoying. Nonetheless, the positives I mentioned above more than made up for the occasional frustration when these technical issues occurred.

So, overall, I'd definitely recommend Sniper Elite 3. I'm hoping to take a look at the additional mission DLCs very soon!

First time player, great game. If they would post instructions and explain what the various keys do, I would be more inclined to purchase other games. Hard to figure the game out, but once you do it is great. Had to do some research on youtube. What happened to good ol' instruction manuals?

This game is a straight downgrade from 2. So buggy, boring and don't forget "Swastika bad" censorship. Levels are boring and bland.

I'm sure 99% of people don't read the reviews. So you may not know that Naruto can be a bit harsh sometimes. You may not know this, but Naruto also grew up without a father. In fact, he never met either of his parents and never had any friends.

This game has so many bad missions with really bad checkpoints, ive had to restart entire levels because it doesnt checkpoint at places you would expect it too, like a cutscene dividing a level in two.

Still able to pop balls and see just how someone reacts to have a small arsenal of weapons explode in their face or just blast a SMG or trench gun and really see how much damage you can do to the axis powers invading Afrika.
You also have a chance of shooting the funny moustache model himself.
Great times all around.

I don't know how to rate this game?
The game is really impressive when it comes to killing enemies and that's all there is to it. A simple and boring loop: go to A, kill enemy B, go to C, kill enemy D....
I know as a sniper, you have to sneak around and kill enemies. But after dying a few times due to silly mistakes, you will see that it is a waste of time and unnecessary. The best way to play is to get to the sniper nest as soon as possible, create chaos to attract enemies and kill them all at once.
Anyway, this is a fun game, you can play in your free time without focusing on skills.

This is a buggy piece of trash. The missions are stupid, the map design is bad, the difficulty settings are too broad and the best part of the game, the ballistics, is wasted by the wanna be assassin's creed mission design. Your character will regularly get hung up. You will be shot through walls by enemies. You will be forced to do stupid things you would never normally do just to make the game harder. You can't tab out without crashing the game. On the highest difficulty you cannot save and so each and every one of these shitty oversights will ruin you mission and force you to start again. This game is terrible.

Good game, just some bugs here and their rest ok

Even as an avid fan of sniper games, and I really liked the first one in this series, I couldn't force myself to finish this one. Even on Sniper Elite difficulty, the sniping is quite easy, and it's a fairly rare occasion if you want to play smart. Most of the time you sneak around and take out enemies at close range, and when you finally have the chance to take out enemies at a distance you find yourself waiting forever for the noises you're supposed to use to mask your shots. What really broke me was some stupid bug that caused the character to day (as if from an explosion) whenever I uploaded a specific save which happened to be where I blew up a cannon (about half an hour earlier...). After that, I just couldn't be bothered to restart the level.

This game should have been called Shovel Elite because for a sniping simulator I spent more time killing Nazi's with shovels than I did with a rifle. I lost interest quick. It is sad.

Loved revisiting this part of the series, still holds up today.

This Sniper Elite is the worst of the bunch.
The AI is broken and some missions as well.
Very few weapons and associated upgrades.
I would recommend the 5th or 4th game instead.

Cool, fun, stealth action game

Pretty nice game, with missions being varied in setting and good sniping mechanics

Play an hour as an underequipped close combat assassine to spend a minute shooting at stuff with a sniper rifle. Bugs have not been patched for years...
