this game is good, a lot of downloadable content to enjoy, i recommend buying the Axis/German sniper pack. make sure its the one with the Kar98, its one of the best rifles in game

Title implies a sniper game, but most of the time the game is encouraging silent play using a silenced pistol. The environments aren't suitable to long shots and when sniping is a possibility, constantly waiting for a cover sound to avoid identification. You have a machine gun that couldn't hit a barn wall, yet the enemy can hone in on you with pinpoint accuracy from a distance you can barely see them.
Just to complete it, I set it to Cadet mode and played it as a run and gun.

I've clocked up thousands of hours on SE4 and SE5 and never got round to playing SE3, so I started to play all the missions. I've done about 30 hours - excellent game - the challenges and great visual settings impressed me. Definitely recommend.
for people that love sniping and being stealthy, numerous ways to beat missions but complete a objective
fun way to go around being stealth but not guns a blazing, eventhough u can try

A solider bent over to pick something up and I shot him up his ass, through the stomach and out the head at 185 meters and got to watch it all in slow mo. Don't see that in any other game. Love it.
Game doesn't like you tabbing out though. Which is veryyyyyy annoying.

AI enemy are stupid, hardest mode - pretty easy, you can ignore all sniping and stealth mechanics, just another one TPP middle-tier shooter.

Bette,r more open levels add so so much although there are still a couple issues with the side missions, as sometimes you'll spend ages running round the map looking for something for them, unable to know that the next part of the side mission involves doing the next part of the main mission.
very detailed and follows a story line that is hard at times but not impossible to follow. almost the best of the sniper elite games (almost)

I don't get people giving a game a thumbs down because it's not as good as a different game.
"It's a step back." Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man. And who cares? It's still GREAT.
Played Co-op the whole eight missions. Some missions are just stupid with no save check points between them. Other missions didn't make any sense and most missions were very very short. The main issue was inconsistency.
Playing this game right after Sniper Elite V2, this seems like a step backward. This game wasn't fun. There was nothing memorable. Not one moment that I could point to and remember this game. The things I do remember is unlocks of basic guns and equipments like this game was made for multiplayer only. Single player story seems like an afterthought.
I don't really have much to tell about this game other than that I hated it. Also, it kept crashing on many many modes. BTW we played on the highest difficulty with no tactical assistance.
Another fun addition to the series, but as I play this one I realize that they are quite repetitive. I don't think I will play another. Still a good game, though.

More than half you cannot start the game because it goes to a white screen, music and other sounds play but no video. I have done what troubleshooting instructed to do but just today, Dec 12 2024, I tried to start it 10 times and could not get it working.
I love the Sniper series and boy is it graphic! At first i thought that it was to hard to play but i was wrong and feel in love with it. Went ahead and got SE5 and will play that after i finish 4. But the single player story is good and the survival mode is all so good and a good test of your skills. I been leveling up thru it for quite sometime. Anyway its a good game and people should give it a try.
Sniping is very spread out between long sections where its not possible, and considering that this is a sniping game it just doesnt have enough sniping
Worst Sniper Elite game and it isn't close. Played with a friend and that didn't make it better. Total trash.
Play it on Marksman difficulty
Good game but keeps crashing which is frustrating when playing on authentic since it has no checkpoints.
crashes have no cause as far as i know happens randomly. other than this game is solid just has technical issue. also cant seem to use a browser to play music or videos as being tabbed into the game cause the video or song to pause or stutter
Throughout the game instead of sniping enemy targets from a distance. The maps force you to get up close to the targets rendering the sniping aspect of this game and it's limited sniper options absolutely useless.

Great sniper game, what else can i say? I love the x-ray shots and overall game. the singleplayer campane was a bit short but still nice
the stealth aspect of game is amazing and sniping mechanism is also good for beginner. this is my first game is sniper elite series, and this game has made me hook to it.
This is more of a question for anyone who knows the answer. There's an achievement called "Elite Fan" that unlocks if you own sniper elite, sniper elite 2, and sniper elite 3. The question is regarding owning sniper elite 2 in order to unlock the achievement.
Does owning sniper elite 2 remastered count towards the achievement "elite fan"? ...since sniper elite v2 is no longer available for purchase.

It should not have taken the amount of work it took just to get the game to launch, and to launch with functional audio, for a 10 year old game.
Its year 2024 and I must say its ok game. Bit silly but fun.
The run away system seems a flawed but I personally enjoy sneaking and sniping so it does not matter so much.
Overall, it's a great game! I really liked how immersive the stealth mechanics are. However, there are some frustrating bugs, such as enemies not taking damage when shot, almost like there’s an invisible wall in the way.
I love the Sniper Elite series, this game and V2 are the only ones I havent finished. Looking forward to Resistance next year.
I have enjoyed all of the Sniper Elite games from 3 to 5 each has it's own theme highly recommended!

I love the whole franchise.
For some reason this game gives me really bad motion sickness. Unplayable for me due to how physically uncomfortable it makes me.
