SuperHot, but no story and more mechanics (I think? I've never actually played SuperHot).
Some levels take a fair amount of skill/planning/practice, but I think that's part of what makes it fun.
Press jump doesn't work that's this game not bad but when the functions don't work as intended you can fuck off
DISCLAIMER: This is a first impressions review, and NOT a full review
PLEASE NOTE: I recommended this game with some exceptions, overall if the game did not live up to just a tiny expectation, I would not have recommended it at all, so please read the review carefully if you are thinking of buying/playing this game
Tick Tock Bang Bang is a game developed and published by Dejobaan Games, LLC
The game offers some nice graphics, although some ugly glitches here and there, it is pleasant all the same
Tick Tock Bang Bang overall, however, is an okay game to play, and it does get boring if being played for a long time, but is an okay-ish to meh action game and to play in short bursts
RECOMMENDED :)

Intro
It feels like Superhot, but without the polish of that game. Just like Superhot however, it's super short, perhaps even shorter. But considering it's super cheap on a sale, I can't outright not recommend this game.
Positives
+ Decent replay value.
+ Steam Workshop support.
+ It's basically more Superhot.
+ Good aesthetics and graphics.
Negatives
- It's shorter than Superhot. Which was short to begin with.
- Time doesn't gradually turn from slow motion to real-time and vice-versa like Superhot.
Very smooth and satisfying time slow gameplay. Levels are short and enjoyable, and community content always provides new challenge. Not much of a story, but still a good game. For sure recommend!
Clearly inspired by SUPERHOT. It's definitely not as good as the original, but it has some original elements. This game is less combat focused and more bullet-hell. Totally worth the 99 cents on sale.
Tick Tock Bang Bang is SUPERHOT if it was done in all the wrong ways. I have no problem with 'copycats', but it's clear that Dejobaan Games slapped this together, while not understanding the game they were copying.
The main thing is the slowmotion. The problem is that when you start moving, the game instantly snaps to full speed. In SUPERHOT, the game has a slight delay so you have time to process the change from slowmotion to full speed. This also applies to the sound as well. There is no smooth transition, so you go from slow muted audio, to loud, fast audio instantly. Couple that with bad sound design means that it is just so jarring, and distracting when trying to play. Like, how can you mess up the essential, and core mechanic that badly!?!?
Artstyle wise, the game looks fine. I mean, I noticed that it seems that a lot of the assets where taken from their other game, Drunken Robot Pornography, which does come off a bit lazy, but there is one thing that I hate: The bloom. The bloom is ridiculous, and you can only turn it off by choosing a lower setting preset. There is no other graphic options other than the presets given. So now I have to play on potato graphics settings just so I can see shit. Just WHY?!?! Why is it so hard to have a check box, or graphic options to change individually. It's lazy, and stupid.
Just for these reasons alone, the game is just frustrating, and down right annoying to play. I'm quite frankly disappointed. This game showed a lot of potential, and could have offered us something a bit different in this new FPS take, but it just falls short.
While the game is not horrible, it's not that great either.
You do get some levels to try out, which is mostly the main part of the game.
A little less cleaner than their "Drunken Robot Pornography" game?
While what they created could be great, and see where the game shines the most at.
It also feels so thrown together from their other title and is NOT worth it by any means for the FPS experience.
It's more about a challenge or puzzle with sometimes little to no wiggle room for completion (by design?).
While there are moments one could feel one are doing good, the game has not really embraced this or making the journey worth completing any of the challenges even if some of them are decent.
If compared to supershot, this game holds nothing up for it...
besides more things to explore or create. Just if that would be worth anything
A quick and silly exploration of the "time only moves when you do" mechanic, but with everything turned up to an exuberant 11. Levels are short little chunks of fun chaos.
dissapointment after the master peice of superhot. Just doesn't fell as smooth, or awesome. quite overpriced as well for what it is.
I like a Reckless disregard for gravity and Drunken Robot Pornography, publishers previous games (Not my weird fetishes). But this game really isn't anything special. It reuses assets and the style from DRP, which isn't the best for the central slow mo mechanic. Things don't look better in slow motion for this game, the animations aren't detailed and there are some projectiles, like homing rockets, that you can't dodge or deflect if you are positioned wrong BEFORE they launch. On top of that, the game is short, my time (1.9 hours) is me playing the game through one and a half times, with only 2 or 3 memorable levels.
Game is a breath of fresh air and was alot of fun to play. I love the slow motion mechanic :) Just wish it had more than 50 lvls. Completed it in 3 hours basicly. But never the less it was a treat to play.
You can always go back an have a replay to best your previous timed score's for the leader board's. Guess I will have to try SUPERSHOT as I see in the previous reviews it was out there with the slowMo mechanic prior to this game and look's to be a lot of fun also.
My scepticism was big at the beginning because the game system is not new nor difficult to program, but the lvl. editor convinced me to buy it.
After a short time it is quite obvious that it lacks a realistic sound like ragdols and general rigs, but I wasn't disappointed, it offers more than enough content to spend half a Euro on it.
Not good if you're looking for anything but a shoddily-made SUPERHOT clone.
I thought this would build further on Drunken Robot Pornography since it's a mod of it, but it's hands-down worse.
Sure, more things were added, but even making your own levels you can't use this game as a superior version of DRP for the following reasons:
-Time distortion is not optional.
-You're stuck with the new gun, though it wouldn't be so bad without time distortion.
-Instant death not optional, it was hardcoded into this game even though it's optional in the arena editor; what I don't understand is why instant death was added in the same way jetpack was removed, by having it ticked by default in the arena editor.
-Even small titans will cause severe lag and sometimes crashes, let alone the massively complicated ones that worked perfectly fine in DRP
-All the new things you can stick in a level cause huge perfomance drops, literally all of them. At least for me, the game becomes painfully choppy from 5 drones, 5 humanoids, 20 cars, or any water. Unfortunately, the main menu so happens to have about 30 cars.
I don't know why this game runs so badly when it's just a simple modification of a well-performing game.
Short review for a short game:
If the levels in Tick Tock Bang Bang were trimmed down by half I'd recommend this more easily. It seemed every few levels surprised you with an interesting or clever design, the other half were dull or repetitive. Tick Tock Bang Bang could use some music, the strange ambient water trickle and other sounds that slow or speed up with you are eerie.
Don't buy this looking for a Super Hot clone (and definitely not a clone that is super hot) because you won't find it here. Buy this if you'd like a quick casual game or another 100%.
I'd rate this as neutral but that's not an option.
+Some unique original levels
+More SUPERHOT as the game is clearly 'inspired' by it
+Game works fine, controls fine
+Level creator/workshop support
-Boring aesthetic
-Very bland sound design, practically no music
-Pickups/powerups are incredibly boring and just solve the level automatically
-Final level is overly long compared to every other level before it
-Very short game
-Reused assets from Drunken Robot Pornography
-Zero story and even the premise alone removes all sense of urgency (You're doing hollywood stunts)
A foreword: For the sake of brevity, I'll write a summarized version of my review here on Steam. Here is the link to the longer form of the review, as well as a description of my reviewing mindset. http://pastebin.com/QeuQUmRD
Gameplay: Impossible to not compare to Superhot, but does enough different to stand apart. Various gimmicks and hazards that wouldn't be out of place in Drunken Robot Pornography really enhance level variety. Enemy design is pretty good, bosses are big and very reminiscent of DRP's. Biggest problem is the length of the game. 8/10.
Story: The entirety of the story is told in the trailer.
Graphics: Definitely a Dejobaan game visually, which I really do like. Ran at a perfect 60FPS with everything on max on my GTX 760. 5/5.
Sound: Not really much in the audio department at all. Music is very sparse, mostly ambient. 3/5.
Overall scores are: 8/0/5/3; 8.0/10.
Really enjoyed this game! 10/10 would recommend if anyone is looking for a Superhot-like game but on drugs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q17xxXG5oxY
I would rate this inbetween if I could. The idea is ripped straight from SUPERHOT, but instead of a fun, fast-paced shooter, you mostly just run around dodging things like in a bullet hell, and occasionally using very limited ammo to kill weird robots with different attacks. $10 (Canadian) is a bit much to ask for it IMO, but it's not a terrible game either.
Dejobaan doing what they do best: cloning and iterating innovating like a beast!
This is basically Superhot a revolutionary new time manipulation mechanic with some elements of their own Drunken Robot Pornography mashed in, and a smattering of high-speed vehicles for good measure, somehow encapsulating both "cheap knock-off" and "better than the original" philosophies. There is, strictly speaking, more a wide variety in the form of all the robots, turrets, lasers, jump pads, cars, rockslides, the infernally aggravating kamikaze dummies, and perhaps most notably, a level editor AND custom robot builder. On the flipside, you get to deal with some weird inertia with the controls, a ridiculously short-range taser shot when out of bullets, lack of replays, extremely uneven difficulty curve, detonations that obscure your view of incoming threats for way too long, lack of melee function, and just generally vaguely stiff-feeling gameplay.
To be clear, I don't dislike it, this is more of a thumbs-sideways, but judging by achievement ratio to playtime there's about an hour and a half of campaign in total and I don't like it enough to keep playing. The presesnce of level and robot editors is a great idea to be sure, but I'd have to really love the base gameplay to invest the time in building and exploring new content.
For about the same campaign length as Superhot, you only have to pay a third of the price. That being said, if Superhot had a level editor there'd be little reason for this to exist. Despite my feelings on it, it's an amazing new concept!
