Xenoraid is an exciting vertically scrolling shoot'em up rooted in the classic action gameplay of the genre with added modern features.
Xenoraid upgrades the basic shmup gameplay with advanced shooting mechanics. Fighters tilt left and right when moving horizontally and weapons heat up when firing. Master the mechanics and line up devastating bursts of fire!
Missions in Xenoraid a procedurally driven, so nothing needs to be memorized. The enemies act on AI, making the combat fully dynamic. Intercept the alien threat in missions that play out differently every time!
The four fighter squadron represents your lives and your weapon arsenal. Switch between the fighters in the heat of combat to bring in the best weapons for each situation, and to dodge incoming fire!
Xenoraid campaign mode features more than 40 missions with four alien capital vessels in hectic bossfights.
The events take place in a near future setting, where mankind is fighting the first space war against alien raiders. Starfighters have been improvised by adding machine guns, auto cannons, missiles, and more to existing spacecrafts.
Put your skills to the ultimate test in three endless Survival missions with online leaderboards. The Survival mode is a quick burst gameplay mode with runs lasting rarely more than 10-15 minutes.
All game modes can be played in 2-4 player local co-op (Xinput gamepads recommended, max 1 player with keyboard/mouse).

Good simple shoot em up game from 10Tons studio.
The shooting is simple yet satisfying, the warp technology in this game is insane, the ability to not take damage on your reaction feels so good.
There's upgrades, Talent tree and multiple ships to choose from.
The passives on the Ship are important, then the passives from Talent Tree
The Warp mechanics is a "Last Minute" switch ship decision, where you have 4 ships to choose from, decide which one to wrap to ( Preferably play using Controller)
Then before you are about to take damage, switch to another ship, then you can dodge the incoming attack.
Hopefully there's a Xenoraid 2 or something like this in the future.

No Regrets
It is okayish.
I played this years ago and thought it was a lot of fun. Since then I've gotten heavily into danmaku style shmups and this game is what people in that scene would call a "euroshmup" (this is not generally a positive term). I decided to take a second gander at it recently to see if my opinion of this has changed it all....
It hasn't. This game is still a load of fun and I think this game is criminally underrated. Most shmup players might be turned off by the inertia based movement but I say it ties in really well. It's an intentional design decision vs something thrown in there without thought to the overall experience. A "retro" or "classic" or "arcade" shmup this game is not - and I don't think it's trying to be that. The movement of the shmup tilts the vessel which controls the direction of the fire and so the inertia movement ties into this and overall makes the weapons satisfying to control and fire.
The upgrade mechanics are not overly "gamified" - they are within a context of a run and reward mastery, not grinding/play time.
It has flaws like any game - but I think overall it's a fun and satisfying experience to play.
