About the Game
„IS Defense” is a game set in politically fictional 2020 – where the expansion of ISIS went out of hand. They took over all of Northern Africa, spreading their genocidal understanding of the world’s order. Strongly armed, vast in numbers, and prepared for everything, the Islamic State is launching the invasion upon Europe, over the entire Mediterranean Sea.The player takes the role of NATO’s stationary machine-gun operator, deployed to defend the shores of Europe. His task is to blast as many of the invaders as possible, until his glorious death. To do so, he has NATO support forces, his Machinegun and Rocket Launcher at his disposal. During the progress of this heroic defense, he gets the opportunities to upgrade his gear, his body, and army rank – which affects the efficiency of the called support.
This game is our small side-project and is our personal veto against what is happening in the Middle East nowadays. As well as an attempt at resurrecting a pretty dead genre of games like „Operation Wolf” or „Beach Head” – in a state-of-the-art, modern adaptation.

This game was way way more fun than I expected it would be. I was also very surprised by the sound and music quality, which I only realized how good they were, after I had a YT video playing on the side.
I just wish there was more. More abilities, infantry with different equipment, tanks, armor and or fortifications around the machine gun, multi-barrel rocket launcher upgrades, etc. etc. then again for 5.24€? Or for the discounted price of 1.57€ that I got it for?
Absolutely worth it!
Pros
- Incredibly fun, even though it is a very simple game
- The weather changes if you play a map longer
- The environment has light destructibility
- You have AI allies
- You can have an unlimited amount of allies on the map
- Reasonable survival time achievements - you don't need to play a map for over 30 minutes in order to get all of the achievements for that map
- The support abilities are fun to use and also crucial to last longer, once the invasions really kick in in the maps
- The difference that upgrades make is ridiculous
- Really really well done sound, music, radio effects for support voice lines, etc.
- You can see the leaderboards when you are playing a map, this gives a solid reason to continue surviving
- A surprising amount of achievements for such a simple game
- Steam cards
- The performance is very good, even when there is a lot going on on the screen
- Nice and straightforward UI
Cons
- There is only 1 workshop mod.. that is a meme mod
- There are only 4 maps, that you replay in order to progress
- Nothing makes sense if you think about it even a little bit
- The machine gunner is extremely exposed and you can't get any armor, just a health upgrade
- Finishing a map achievement only gets activated AFTER you start the map again and after you destroy 1 vehicle, not after you actually finish the map
- Not much enemy variety
- Zero friendly soldier variety

Yes its "ISrael Defense" and its so funny to kill terrorist its amazing LOL thx Destructive Creations and thx to Valve (Cs2) for their games thats was made to kill terrorsts forever! Hahahaha very nice game anyway this game like cs2 all what u need its just SHOOOOOOOOOOOOOT in all of them

Can't wait for ISrael Defense
Besides Medal of Honor (2010) and Warfighter it's one of the few games that actually has the balls to feature Muslim terrorists as an enemy faction
It's Beach Head, but you're introducing, and explaining how Article 5 works.
Wanted to try it for a while, got it on sale. Sadly its gash.

Stationary machinegun shooter with very repetitive and bland gameplay. Even the sound from the machinegun itself is bland. There's also only 4 maps! You must complete map #1 to unlock map #2, etc. How do you complete a map? By killing x nr. of terrorists and destroying x nr. of vehicles. The maps are just a endless wave of enemies and you quickly get tired of the whole thing.
The gameplay cycle is short and simple; Shoot, kill, gain XP to unlock skills, die, retry map. Sounds fun? There's no real goal here and you will always die eventually. At least you keep your XP and unlocked skills.
Verdict: A disappointing 3/10. Not the worst game, but I just can't recommend it. If you're really interested, then wait for a sale!
