it is very fun
The game is fun but I recommend insurgency.
Honestly, this game is a really nice World War 2 shooter, but there's no reason to buy it when currently the game crashes upon starting and crashes your system too for some reason due to a Windows 11 update.

Game was good. Low players but still fun gameplay. Update ruined everything were next to no one can login.. Dont buy until fixed. Recommendation might change if fix
I got banned permanently for doing nothing wrong on a server playing alone.
rly good game Insurgency engine but this is sad 1 . no players playning 2. if you have gameban on other game you cant play PVP

Constant crashing on W10 and W11 after updates.
Game was amazing until recent windows 11 patch messed up the battle eye launcher now the game bluescreens your computers. there is a work around but the reality is if these developers want to keep this game on the steam store they should patch it. so do not buy until its fixed cause the game will not launch. Fix your shit neworld

This game..was one of my favorite ww2 games. It's dead now, so save your money, but it was worth double what they asked at launch.
Real shame the playerbase just..crumbled. Lack of updates and communication.

this game has been dead for so long but every now and then there's enough people on for a full game or two full games, if your willing to wait for that long to play this amazing game then get it
This game is so bugged, wont even run anymore. I do not feel the need to take the time to get it working. I have done so in the past but for what it offers it is not worth it.
This is a gem. Not many WWII FPS games are this well balanced. The only caveat is the hit boxes, sometimes you can get stuck on something weird invisible, which shouldn't be a problem.
But overall the game can be a model to follow. I dream of a new version, with modern graphics and servers for more players at the same time.

I LIKED IT
It’s a good WW2 game that came out in an oversaturated market of said WW2 games, leaving it mostly ignored. But I do think this one does that WW2 stuff well because it started from the same gritty base as Insurgency and its incredibly good gunplay. So I knew that was great, but I honestly don’t care for World War era games, it’s the Insurgency association that I bought it for. I played only against bots as A) I don’t like multiplayer, same as in Insurgency for me, and B) I refuse to install the kernel level Battle Eye AC on my computer (you are limited to playing vs bots offline without needing to install it, fine by me).
I wouldn’t play this anymore (the playerbase is tiny) & I prefer modern settings in Insurgency, DOI just didn’t capture me like that game did. But it did have Flakturm.

and also its very good that they collabed with an cool ww1 mod called screaming steel
I played the dog red map back when it was still a part of insurgency and then they finally released this full game. I have so many memories of this game its not even funny. I played it so much and I loved every second of it. the carnage and the maps are amazing. the guns are immersive and satisfying to get kills with (especially the bolt actions) and the game was decently full. It was hard to get good at this game, but once you did, it got really fun. It's so sad to see the state in which it is now. played it again for the first time in years and could only find one other person playing. i really wish they did a promotion to revive this game because it was a simple but very fun game with a good engine

Super fun, but very dead. There's a small group of people trying to revive it. If you can catch the small waves of people playing everyone is very friendly.
It alright. Note that if you play coop in an empty server, you only have one life and if you die have to restart the mission.
Despite being dead, I will enjoy this game no matter what people tell me.

If you constantly wonder why the game seems genuinely dead.
It's mostly not the fact. Oddly you first have to join a server to begin with - Then open the server browser whilst in a match.
You'll see the players regularly then.

This is what I would consider a niche game. If you like WWII and immersion, this is a great game. It's insurgency but WWII. Unfortunately the multiplayer is dead but you can play anything you want with bots that are good enough. Wish more people played it because it's great.

I miss this game when it was active, very excellent WW2 FPS, nothing else like it on the market currently. Please NWI, do something with this IP.

Honestly my favorite game from NWI studios with lots of depth, great design for factions, equipment, maps, etc.
Unfortunately, last time I tried playing all the servers were dead or filled with very racist players.
