Love this game! relaxing, challenging and rewarding. The detailed graphics, sounds both ambient and machinery perfect! The vanilla game is a great stand-alone game. But the addition of just a few mods sends it to the next level.
I've played this game for over seven years, (only recently changed to Steam), no bad things to say about FS 17. if you like this kind of game!!!

Help,I want to install a couple of mods from the Internet,in FS 22 I can,there is a folder "mods" in the game files,in farm 17 there is no this folder,how to install mods,tell me.

Farming Simulator 17 doesn't really have a story; it's more about setting the scene where you inherit a farm and are tasked with making it thrive. The narrative here is as straightforward as a ploughed field: grow crops, raise livestock, and expand your agricultural empire. You're not here for the plot twists; you're here to farm.
Gameplay: 7.5/10
If you've ever fantasized about running your own farm with the precision of a Swiss watch, automating as many chores as possible and trying to make the farm as efficient as possible, then Farming Simulator 17 is your digital dream. The gameplay revolves around a cycle of planting, growing, harvesting, and selling. It's methodical, with a learning curve that feels rewarding as you master the art of farming.
Open World: The maps are vast rural landscapes where each field, barn, and silo has a purpose. Exploration here means finding the best land to cultivate or the most efficient route for your machinery. Though the maps is not really advanced because of the age of the game, it does not really take away from the fun.
Vehicles: From tractors to combines, you'll get to operate a wide array of farm equipment. Each machine has its role, and learning to use them effectively is part of the fun.
Management: Balancing your farm's finances, crop rotation, and livestock care adds depth to the gameplay, making it more than just a driving simulator with crops.
Achievements: 5/10
The achievements in Farming Simulator 17 are mostly about scale and efficiency, thought some of them are quite quirky like one where you need to score a tree-pointer in basketball, in a farming game? But besides that, you'll earn them for things like having a certain amount of money in your bank account, harvesting a huge amount of crops, or just for maintaining your farm for a long duration. While they can push you to try different aspects of farming, some might feel repetitive or like a grind for those not inherently interested in every facet of farm management. Though if you play the game for long enough, you will get most of the achievements by just playing the game.
Downloadable Contents (DLCs): 5/10
The Farming Simulator games are known for their DLC’s or rather the amount of them that they are trying to make you buy, they are priced quite reasonably but do not change the game too much besides adding some new vehicles/equipment
Big Bud Pack: Adds one of the largest tractors in the game, appealing to those who love big machinery. 10$ and sometimes for sale for 5$. Is it worth it? Only if you really like the game and if your farm requires some really big and powerful equipment.
Premium Expansion: This is the best DLC from the ones that you can buy for this game, it includes a new maps in a warmer climate, a new crop which is sugarcane and more equipment for a more diverse farming experience which will also help you to harvest the new crop. 10$ and sometimes for sale for 5$. Is it worth it? Yes if you want to expand your game with a new map and a new crop.
KUHN Equipment Pack: This pack adds 18 new implements from KUHN, significantly expanding your equipment roster. It's ideal for those who want to delve into more specialized farming tasks, offering tools for everything from soil preparation to precision planting. 10$ and sometimes for sale for 5$. Is it worth it? Only if you really like the game and you want to try out some new equipment.
ROPA Pack: Focused on beet and potato harvesting, this DLC introduces six new vehicles from ROPA, including the famous Tiger 6 sugar beet harvester. It adds a new dimension to your harvest strategy, particularly if you enjoy the intricacies of root crop management. 7$ and sometimes for sale for 3.5$. Is it worth it? Only if you really like to harvest potatoes and beets, the new vechicles are not required though as the base game includes everything you would need to do you job. So get this DLC only if you really like to harvest the beets and potatoes.
Some of these packs add significant content, making the game feel fresh if you've exhausted the base game's offerings, though some feel just like a cash grab.
Bugs and Glitches: 6/10
Farming Simulator 17 is generally stable, but you might run into:
Physics Glitches: Sometimes, your crops or animals might behave oddly, like floating machinery or cows that defy physics.
Performance: On lower-end systems, large fields or many machines can cause slowdowns, but it's generally well-optimized for its target audience. So do not worry if your PC is not super fast, you should be fine with a lower-end pc.
Mod Issues: While mods can enhance the game, they can also introduce bugs, so tread carefully.

The graphics are functional, with detailed machinery and landscapes that give you a sense of being in a real farming environment. Xbox controller FTW! Farming is okay but animal breeding makes you rich.
You may like this game like I did, then your ten hours in, get the achievement and your game deletes itself and is lost forever.

Unusable with intel chips and they wont update to fix
Progression is slow, but I enjoy it because it's relaxing. With a bit of planning and strategy, it really is an enjoyable game.
