The story itself is really nice, the controls can be a bit clunky at times. And the achievements, at least for me, have been bugged for a long time. So if you want to JUST play the game for the story, go for it when it's on sale, but just be aware that you may not be able to 100% the achievements.
Just like Shelter One, and Two... IT'S AMAZING! The soundtrack, the story, the game play, the art style, etc IS AMAZING. All of Might and Delights games are incredible, and worth the money. Thank you for creating a story for Inna, the original lynx mother from Shelter Two. Thank you for developing amazing games.
Yes, I played this before the playing the Shelter games, this is true. However, it wasn't a terrible game, it was sad and brought slight tears to my eyes. The story had nothing to do with my thumbs down review. My only issue with this game is the price. It was not worth $20. Maybe buy it on sale for $5? It's just way too short of a game for it to be worth the amount I payed.

I can say that the description of "Paws: A Shelter 2 game" is not that accurate, because the game is more a relaxing experience than an adventure platformer, and like it said, which deals with loss and friendship.
The main story focus on a cub lynx that gets separated from the mom and siblings, and is on its way to find its family. The journey is very short, but quite emotive, and involves also getting some food and having a friendly companion.
The atmosphere and soundtrack is really nice and calming, even though I've faced some bugs on the controls and on the background elements.
What actually broke me in "Paws" was the fact I didn't expect to make a choice in the end, and it hit me hard. It made me realize that what matters in life is not reaching our goals, but our journey. When I found my family in the game I was happy for a few moments, but as soon as I noticed that I would have to leave behind alone the cub bear, I just couldn't take it. The bear became a friend and companion during hard times, so it didn't seem right to be selfish and leave it alone because I have reached the end of my journey...
So yes, I definitely recommend this game <3

Short but pleasant experience. I've been playing the shelter games ever since I was a kid. I finally picked up Paws today and tried it out! The art style and soundtrack is immaculate as all the shelter games are! The story is short but bittersweet, one that all shelter/animal fans should experience!
it's a very short game, but it made me cry by the end of it. i just kept thinking of my mom and how it would hurt to be away from her. the art and music really tie the whole experience together. just the simple string instruments are enough to make me teary eyed. highly recommend.
I just seen this in my library and I got so many memories, this game is truly heart touching and really explores how many types of sad and love you can feel in such a small amount of time.

This game rounds up what makes the Shelter series so enjoyable for me. Great music, lovable art style and sooo cute characters. You slip once again in a different perspective. From being a badger mother and being hunted in Shelter, to being the lynx mother Inna and hunting in Shelter 2, to being Inna again, but as a cub, in Paws!
*minor spoilers ahead*
It was nice to see the perspective of a cub that gets separated from the family, because you saw cubs getting separated from the family before as the lynx mother. But you didn't always know what happened to the lost cubs and now you at least know, it doesn't always have to end badly ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ
Also, swans are hecking terrifying.
I love this game. It has beautiful environments, and lovely art. The only bad thing I would have to say, is that the controls are a bit finicky and it's hard to turn... However If you are a fan of Might and Delight, beautiful art, amazing story-line, and heartbreak from said story-line. Then this is the game for you. Thank you for this wonderful piece of art Might and Delight.

Its a really cute and fun game. I highly recommend it. I have played shelter 2 and I love it as well!
I am really interested in how a co-op version of this would be, one as the bear and the other as the lynx. This would be really awesome! :)
