Michonne is schizophremic
The adventure of black and independent woman , like it pretty relatable
TWD: Michonne told a great story about Michonne, a character I absolutely loved in the show, that standalone made for a great game. Whether or not you're a previous fan, this game does a fantastic job at telling her story and making you love her character. The gameplay isnt very incredible, but regardless the story made for a great shorter version of the iconic games and definitely cemented its place as another great game in the series.
7.2/10
Love this series, and another great one here!
After the masterpiece of season and the slightly weaker but still great season two, this is quite the letdown. No memorable characters, this tortured story about her dead daughters is contrived, over reliance on QTE for stylised combat when that has never been what made these games great. The story itself is forgettable and the length laughably short. Do not buy.
michonne ftw
It's Telltale - 'nuff said
So, after playing all of the telltale series I have to say they have very good stories!!! The game play is always good for story telling. This one seemed a little short though. I like these in the middle of a more intense game, gives you a nice break! Interactive TV, keep'em coming. Maybe make them a little longer though... There is endless capabilities and scenarios that could keep going! We are waiting!!!

Personal Opinon
A cool mini series about one of the most badass charakters I know. If you like TWD and know Michonne a cool story awaits
TWD Michonne – Trauma, Walkers, and Emotional Damage
Michonne is basically trauma with walkers. You’re out here slicing heads and dodging your past like it’s a quick-time event IRL. The choices? Heavy. The vibes? Dark af. It’s short, brutal, and will have you sitting there like, Did I just get emotionally wrecked in 3 episodes? Maaan wish this had more episodes If Michonne’s your girl, this game slaps
Fun game it tells a story and become the person they should do another walking dead telltale
Very well made side story game, with good characters
smash
In my opinion, It was a pretty good experience. But I wish it was longer :<
If u'r planning on buying the game, u better buy it when its on sale. Bcuz it is not as wonderful as the main story, but it is definitely an amazing addition.
The Walking Dead: Michonne – A Telltale Miniseries offers a great chance to dive deeper into Michonne's character and explore a side of her we didn’t get to see in the main series. I really enjoyed getting to experience her time outside of the main group, and it adds more depth to her backstory. The writing, like the first game, is excellent, and the choices feel meaningful.
While it didn’t quite hit the same emotional highs as the main series, it still provides a compelling narrative with solid character development. It’s a fun addition to the Walking Dead universe and offers some unique perspectives on Michonne’s journey.
The gameplay is classic Telltale—easy to pick up and enjoyable, and the achievements are straightforward to unlock, just like in the first game. It’s definitely worth playing for any fans of the series, even if it doesn’t quite have the same gripping intensity as the original.
I really tried to enjoy this, but I couldn't. Throughout the entire game, I was either cringing at the women's mental state or I was bored. I love the walking dead games, but this one was not it.
Big fun
The story and characters are boring as hell (compared to the other games at least) but I bought it for the sake of funding telltale to make sure The wolf among us season 2 is still in development and release eventually 😭🙏
Side note: I can’t even take the game seriously with michonne looking like a female version of dreamybull
very nice
If only Сlementine would have stumbled upon Michonne....
good game
I liked it a lot,, although it was short, it was still well done.
QTE Simulator, played on definitive
Sam is my girlfriend
Another good TWD game, I just wish it was a bit longer!
It was nice to see Michonne again.
Definitely recommended!

As a TWD fan,I loved the story but not as much as the four seasons of the walking dead.Michonne's sure great but It'll surely not stand above Clementine,Lee and other characters from the original TWDG series.Still,an amazing story.
It's more of the same. And it bugs me that it doesn't matter what I do, all the choices lead to disaster. What's the point?
Love the gameplay but, man, Im such a jumpy person and when Michonne daughters comes up I always got jumpscares, scream and jumpy(?) ;-;
A decent entry in the Telltale portfolio.
very fun and interesting spinoff
Enjoy this game but it's annoying that I miss pressing the bottom of my controller too often 😹😹 it's a short game well it's a good game, To be honest, I don't like this setting in the game.
Absolutely not. The story is absolutely boring. Hundret forgetable characters. And credits roll forever. It looks like THIS telltale game focuses on quick time events and combat - truely the worst parts of any telltale game. Combine that with terrible animations, performance and the good ol'e cutscene stutters and the longest loading times ever and you get a truly forgetable game.
I wish i had the option to answer "i do not care" everytime someone asked michonne a question.
This game evolved backwards.
Worst one. story was ok very short worth getting on sale
100% - 3.7 hrs
Achievements - 21
Review - 7/10 - Should have really been a DLC
Difficulty - 1/10
Hardest Achievement - N/A
Another great game in the series. This was surely a short one, but still had the same impactful and emotional moments throughout. One difference from the previous games so far is the quicktime events. They are much more intense and fast paced and feel like they have more weight behind them.
To be honest no idea how this game has mostly positive reviews the fullscreen isn't entirely fullscreen and I saw that multipule characters has the same colored dialog insted of every characters having unique colored dialog like in the other Walking Dead games and it pains me to leave a negative review on a Telltale's The Walking Dead game I also couldn't see the percentages of the choices I made also I wish the intro's to the episodes were different like in Season 1 and 2 (those are the only other games in this series I have played as I am writing this review) Finally the story is super confusing in Episode 3.
Short, but sweet. The story is mostly coherent, and Randal is something else. Plagued with the same performance issues as 'The New Frontier' (Occasionally stuttering, etc.) But slightly worse as it cannot handle above 60hz in fullscreen, though is fine unfullscreened. Also cannot see choices (Atleast i couldn't, though it worked in The New Frontier) which takes a tiny bit away from the usual telltale experience.
Enjoyed it none the less, but i'd only grab it on sale, as i did.
10/10
After completing all achievements in 3.9 hours, I can’t recommend this game. In brief, if you’ve played the first two seasons of The Walking Dead, don’t buy this one—you’ll be disappointed by the major drop in quality. If you haven’t played the first two seasons, skip this and buy those instead.
I know some reviews say things like “It’s short but great,” but honestly, it doesn’t live up to the first season, which is from the same company, same price range, and same series. I’d rate it 4.5/10. The score might be lower if you haven't read the comic or don't know who Michonne is.
The poor quality surprised me. My play-through often felt like a slog rather than the usual enjoyment. Spoilers may follow, but really, it’s not a big deal—you can predict almost the entire plot from the title screen. Quote: “Game Informer noted that, "somehow episode two is an even bigger bore than the last one." They criticized the episode for being too predictable, saying, "predictability is prevalent within the paper-thin personalities of the characters as well.""
Here are some reasons I can’t recommend it:
1. Excessive QTEs. I’ve played this series since the first season, but I’ve never seen such overuse of forced QTEs. Not only are they forced, but they’re boring and unforgiving. Playing on a Steam Deck, I had to restart more than 10 times in the first five minutes of Chapter 1, all because of QTEs that required rapid button presses the A key and a random key right after with strict timing; or you'll die. I ended up switching to keyboard mode just to get through it. This never happened in the first two seasons. Even without that, you’ll face almost 10 minutes of QTEs without any plot advancement before the title animation. Throughout the game, excessive QTEs fill the thin plot, with constant random and rapid button presses. This isn’t an action or rhythm game, so this QTE overuse ruins the game’s flow. Reasonable QTEs can enhance engagement, but overuse makes the gameplay feel like a chore.
2. Lazy design. The theme song force-plays three times in a row in the intro of each chapter. Each Steam achievement lacks even a thumbnail like before, just a lazy number. Player choices don’t matter, as the story inevitably converges back within a few minutes.
3. Overdone gore and meaningless deaths. Given the setting, gore and violence make sense, but here, it’s unavoidable and numbing. When Duck died in the first season, it was genuinely sad. In this game, when Greg dies, it’s more of an “oh, accidental death, and then?” This shallow and pointless death theme carries on throughout the game. The main villain, Norma, dies just five minutes after meeting her in Chapter 3. I barely remembered crew member Brito’s face before he was accidentally killed. Even Zack, whom you save in Chapter 1, only has one line or two before being killed. These aren’t necessarily unreasonable in the universe, but they’re boring. Characters die one by one without building any emotional connection, leaving you wondering, “Who am I? Where am I going? Who are they and why? I know him/her, and?”
4. Tedious plot twists. The game uses lots of jump scares to create “ghostly” visions, similar to the two girls from The Shining. But in Chapter 1, the player already knows/predicts the outcome: Michonne (Mich) failed to save her two daughters, and she’s haunted by guilt-induced visions. However, this doesn’t add any emotional depth—more of a “so what?” Like the game says, “everybody will be just like that, you gotta be tough.” Mich only mentions her visions to Pete in the final minutes, even though it’s obvious throughout.
5. Dull storyline. Summary: Mich is drawn into a revenge plot because of Sam’s theft. She sticks with Sam until killing all the villains (?), then returns to the ship. That’s it. Carver’s pursuit in Season 2 was tedious but at least had a reason (maybe the child in Reb’s belly was his). This season’s villain is just evil for the sake of it. Sam stole from Norma, so Norma wants to kill her—but instead of just doing it, she imprisons Sam, releases her, captures her again, and pursues everyone. Is she wasting bullets? Mich and Pete get caught up in Sam’s theft, and despite their explanations, the villain won’t listen and wants to wipe them out. In the end, Mich defeats the villain, leaves with Sam, and that’s the whole story. I can’t say this is a “great story.” The villains are pure evil, like Randall, whose constant trash talk feels like torture for the player. The villain’s base is destroyed without any sense of closure.
6. Unmemorable characters. By the end, no character stands out—most are killed shortly after their appearance (especially Sam’s dad, who dies only five minutes after appearing without any sense of his “lawyer skills” that were supposedly a trait). There’s no charm like the previous two seasons (aside from Greg and Zack’s boyfriend, who at least are good looking non-white characters (?)).
In summary, I can’t recommend this game. The shallow and uninspired storyline, frustrating gameplay mechanics (overuse of QTEs), and lazy production make this game a struggle. 4.5/10. Hard to call it passing.
-Short rushed story (waste potential)
-Some plot details doesn't make any sense
-Long load time for no reason
-Mechanic interaction is gotten worst
-Her flashback kinda annoyed me fr
-I like the soundtrack a lot
5/10 (Maybe u will like this game if u never played telltale game before)
I just finished The Walking Dead: Michonne, and while it's a solid experience, it feels more like a side story than a full Telltale game. This miniseries digs into Michonne's character and the emotional scars she carries, giving us flashbacks and a look at her past traumas. If you're a fan of Michonne or The Walking Dead, you'll appreciate the insights into her character, especially with Samira Wiley delivering an impressive voice performance.
Gameplay-wise, it follows the familiar Telltale format with dialogue choices and quick-time events. However, the decisions don’t seem to make a huge difference in the story, which can make it feel a bit less impactful compared to other Telltale games. Also, the game is pretty short – you can finish all three episodes in about 4-5 hours, which feels more like a DLC than a standalone title.
The visuals and music fit well, with a slightly improved cel-shaded style and a memorable soundtrack, but I’d recommend waiting for a sale if you’re not a die-hard Walking Dead fan. It’s a good, emotional side story but may not fully satisfy those expecting a longer, more branching narrative.
Rating: 6.5/10
Not as good as the original Walking Dead games but still a pleasant experience. Nice story but there was a bit too much gore and even less control over the things as usual. But still it was a good game.

great game i like it
"There's a fine line between being generous and being taken advantage of"
Love all of the Walking Dead games. This instalment is shorter than the others, the choices don't have as much impact on the overall story and there isn't much to do other than let the story play out but I still enjoyed the game and characters.
8/10.
while not as good or lengthy as the first one i liked it for its villan and flow of story, the characters couldve been more fleshed out/ more exploring choices, 6/10
Nice
Amazing! Highly recommend the whole series, this one is a bit short though.
awesome music and just overall good game
The game was good, and I can totally recommend it if you're a fan of the genre.
The main story was interesting, and I always wanted to know what would happen next in each chapter. The art style, as always, was amazing and pleasant to look at. The title music was also a nice touch. You're often faced with difficult choices, which adds to the fun of the game. The quick-time events were sometimes demanding but still doable. The dialogue was engaging, with plenty of options to choose from.
However, at some point, I was annoyed by the constant appearance of Michonne's children during almost every intense moment. I understand the emotional dilemma for Michonne and that it adds to the story, but sometimes I wanted to progress without having to talk (or not talk) about the ghosts of children I’m seeing.
I didn’t care about the characters as much as I did in the other TWD games. I wasn’t motivated to play a second time to see the other paths I could choose.
There were occasional visual glitches, and the game froze for several seconds, with the characters stuck in one place, not moving.
Overall, it was a nice Telltale game with a few bugs here and there. I would recommend buying it only on sale, as the gameplay is just too short in my opinion for 15€.
