GREAT product! Solid in-game 2D/3D user interface, good sound FX and voice acting (or AI, but I can't tell, it's 100% solid).
You keep parts/materials between missions (even if it was just training missions) which gives a sense of self and progression, a life. This is not Hardspace Shipbreaker, but it plays in that same league of "job simulator in orbit", though you can also go to Mars and other planets, supposedly even drive a rover with a functional tool attached, but I didn't get to that in my 3 hours so far. Got the game for €9 (€15 normal price), and it's ABSOLUTELY a keeper! 90ish reviews only? This game needs to be known more, people (and the devs) are missing out! And the price is LOW, man, even when not discounted.
I just used an infrared camera whose temperature range I could freely adjust, even its FieldOfView. It also has a reference mode where you define your center temperature, which will show all temperatures different from that one as respectively different gradient colors. Only Splinter Cell had infrared vision (AFAIK), and sadly Stationeers (my favorite game) does not yet have that either, but here you have it and can use it freely at any time!
There's also some kind of voltmeter thing, but I didn't get that far yet - later training missions (Which you need to get the license, allowing you to do related jobs) cost money. You can redo completed paid missions. There's comfortable search filters in the user interface, this product has a RARE LEVEL OF POLISH, truly!
I can't say yet whether it will become boring after 15 hours and/or how high the amount of existing missions is. But the sophistication and given possibilities alone make this product a NO-BRAINER purchase for €9, even €15 is super fine!
There's also schematics with circuit path mouse highlighting. Seems to all be meaningful instead of fluff - obviously I still have to learn quite a bit before I can say "I know this game." - but I CAN TELL that it's worth the cash, man!

I had to turn down the graphics level from max to the second highest - and turn off the secondary antialiasing dropdown list entirely, only the first one was agreeable, else I would have had crappy framerate. This doesn't mean the game is slow, they could just have a different take on what amounts to standard vs high-extra-rendering quality, which the fact that you can add an extra layer of antialiasing (Never seen that before.) does suggest.
There is no shadowcasting by to-be-repaired apparatus, even with settings maxed out, but you cast a shadow yourself, maybe that's just because the sun casts slowly (step-)wandering shadows. I have quite a list of small things I'd like them to improve about this game, but as it is right now, it's already OUTSTANDING!
Controls are difficult to play on keyboard and mouse, it takes out the fun of enjoying the mechanical repair aspects. You would have to constantly worry about moving to a specific ideal position for a very long time. I wouldn't recommend buying this game if you're looking to have fun in just repairing systems without better/easier movement and camera viewing controls.
I requested a refund on the same day I purchased the game. Steam removed the game from purchased library but "I did not receive and a refund or see steam credit funds on my account."
I wanted a space repair and this is a Fantastic, Meeting (Exceeding) my expectations of a very hands on crafting and repair game
Cool game where you are basically an astronaut engineer living in space and fixing various stuff on the orbits. I enjoyed the views and calmness of the vacuum around the Solar System. I'll surely get back to this for more chill.
This game is really fun! It truly makes you feel like you're in space. While the game is challenging, it starts with comprehensive training that ensures you're well-prepared for future missions. Game mechanics are very interestingly designed, making repairs incredibly satisfying. If you've ever wanted to be a space mechanic, SMS is worth checking out.
On the surface this is an enjoyable game, drifting in space is pretty cool. The repairing feels detailed but achievable. Initially I tried playing on hard but after a few missions and needing to use diagnostic tools they often reported no issue even if you could see a leaking pipe using the IR tool or scanning the diagnostic bar code sometimes show no issue. Switched to normal and all was fine for a while. But more and more bugs popped up:
- Training missions that are done differently to the mission that uses the new ability.
- Repair objectives that have no symptoms.
- End of mission item counts and rewards being incorrect.
Then the biggest bug at about what I am assuming is half way through the game. (59hrs at a very leisurely pace). Only 1 available mission in orbit around Venus left to do. It seems there is a part that is flagged as broken but is not an objective so cannot be fixed. This makes it completely impossible to finish this mission.
I did report this bug in the community and did get a response but as of yet no fix. Ill be checking in occasionally and if it does I shall update this review.
Edit. The Venus mission has now been fix, although in an unusual way. There is a new cable connector hidden behind a panel that it only tells you about on easy difficulty. This seems to be there for every Venus mission now. Once you know its there it is at least possible to progress. Unfortunately 9hrs later (68hrs) after completing some more missions around Venus, Earth and Saturn I now have no new missions but have not yet gained the completion trophy so assuming there is more to do. Back to support I go...
This game is enjoyable and perfect for someone who likes space. The physics and space simulation aspects are particularly impressive. Although the repair system is quite complex, it's great that the game helps, explaining everything clearly to the player. It's a pity that the player doesn't fly at a given speed all the time when you stop giving it speed

Great game! The controls accurately reflect the astronaut’s movement capabilities. The UI provides excellent information to the player about everything they need to know. The mechanics themselves are done very interestingly and immersively. Each twisted screw is a great pleasure and satisfaction.
