WELCOME TO THE SATELLITE!
Your life now depends on how much of a good show you can put up!
Satellite Rush is a fast-paced sci-fi top-down shooter with pixel art graphics and Roguelike elements.
Take control of an abducted office worker and blast through Satellite Moebius, an intergalactic space arena/Reality TV stage filled with vicious aliens, robots programmed to clean (or kill), and a (not always so) cheery audience.
Can you survive the worst day of your life and find your way back home?
PLEASE THE AUDIENCE!
To survive in this vicious arena, you better make the crowd happy. Keep shooting stuff and giving them the bloodbath they've paid to see! They will throw valuable weapons for you if they enjoy the show.
FEATURES
- Randomized corridor generation, because nobody would buy tickets for the same bloodlust twice;
- Permadeath, with a few persistent effects to trick you into thinking you have a chance - yes, we mean unlockables;
- A demanding audience and a lax security. They can throw stuff to you. Will you be able to keep them entertained?
- Boss fights and Upgrades, because what sort of entertainment wouldn't involve blowing up bosses and getting neat rewards?

I am 32 years old.
My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.
When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.
Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.
With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.
After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.
Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.
Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.
Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.
Thank you.

Unfortunately I must give a negative thumb on this one.
At first I was intrigued by its colorful graphics and its murdershow-like setting, but as soon as I started playing it I realized it was just another repetitive (let's emphasized on that) and, frankly, clunky roguelike top down arena shooter with no real new nor solid content if not for that initial strange setting.
However it gets the job done in the basic aspects of the game, although its difficulty is derived more from its clunky control than genuine challenge.
Buy only if you have no other options (which would be difficult since there is a fair amount of this kind of games, and waaay better than this one) and if it's on sale.
Short rewiev, but yet again there's not much to talk about here.
Satellite Rush its a Brazilian Game and a perfect one for those who loves rogue-like games.
Its a quite fast game, but its really challeging.
its heavely inspired by Binding of Isaac and it have cool bosses, awesome pixel art and animation.
Its also fun to watch your friends play, get stuck and die a lot of times since you can beat the game within 30 mins or so ( if you have the skills to survive everything, of course )
It's a Smash TV thingy, but with space humor. There's items and bosses and other fun stuff. I gotta play more of it.
7/10
A very fun and well done game, but that could be a lot better with a more balanced difficulty and more upgrade options.
The premise of the game is simple: you were captured to participate in an alien battle royale and to earn your freedom, you must fight your way through waves of enemies and three bosses. As you defeat enemies and the crowd cheers on you, you'll get power-ups and weapons to use. Weapons run out quickly but the faster you kill enemies, the more items the crowd will give you. And at the end of each section, you'll fight a boss. Defeating a boss makes the next dungeons harder in some way, so once you've learned about each boss and what they change after they're defeated, knowing the proper boss order becomes important. And as you defeat enemies, you collect some special coins that will then unlock new weapons and items to use.
As a fast-paced roguelike game, Satellite Rush is a really fun game to play, with a challenge level that will keep you on your toes at all times. The game isn't very long, but because of how difficult it is, it requires some time to beat as the player gets a little better on each attempt.
That's where the game's two main issues arise.
The first is how extremely unbalanced the difficulty level is. Of course, as a roguelike game that isn't very long, some challenge is to be expected, otherwise the game would be completed way too quickly. However, even with that considered, the game can be extremely unfair to the player, as the player is often thrown in rooms that are absolutely crammed with enemies, sometimes with literally nowhere to run and nowhere to hide. And because the game becomes harder as the player progresses through it, there are times when the difficulty becomes almost unbearable.
It would have been a lot better if the game had difficulty levels to choose from or unlockable difficulties (you defeat the game once and the next game has a higher difficulty).
The second issue is the lack of upgrades. You unlock three weapons, then three items and that's it. It's pretty easy to unlock those and once those are unlocked, there is no other use for the coins you collect. Also, items obtained after you defeat a boss are fixed - which isn't bad per se, but some more variety would have been good.
One solution to this would be to have the coins collected after all items are unlocked become usable to buy upgrades for the character - as an example, using red coins for health upgrades, purple coins for fire rate and green coins for speed. That way, the coins would still have some use and the player could use those to beat the game if the game is too hard for him/her.
Despite these issues, it's still an extremely fun game to play and highly recommended.
This game proposes a challenging environment. With each victory, the difficulty ramps up. The gameplay is addictive and it builds upon strong design principles: easy to learn, hard to master.
Stages are generated randomly. Each time you cross the portal to challenge a boss "dungeon" will be different.
If you miss top-down shooters like Super Smash TV, Satellite Rush is the game for you.
Fast paced game, where the more you progress the harder it gets. Its pretty enjoyable =D
Have you ever wondered if being abducted by aliens would be an interesting experience? After playing this game, you'll probably think "well, I'd rather live my boring life than venture myself through that hell".
You play as an overweight guy who used to live a boring life until he's got abducted by some aliens. You wake up in a room, they apologize for the inconvenience and tell you that you can go back to your old life by getting yourself to the end of the corridor of Moebius, the spaceship. Well, unfortunately, this won't be easy. With an energy pistol in hands, you gotta pass through corridors full of creatures that will try to kill you. Actually, they ARE going to kill you. A LOT OF TIMES. Well, until you get the hang of it and master the controls and which weapon is the best for each situation and for each enemy. Oh, and there's the crowd! You can make it less hard by entertaining them to get items and weapons! Sweet, huh?
So go ahead and play this game. It has a lot of potential and even in early access it's pretty fun and challenging already.
Easy to adapt a little bit hard to master. Only down side for me is there is 3 different rooms but the enemies are the same. Maybe it is too much to ask but could be more fun in that way. But great game and time spender.
Imagine if Hunger Games was written by Douglas Adams. And Jennifer Lawrence was a fat guy in middle-management attire.
