Bubsy Two-Fur is the authorized digital download version of Bubsy’s first two games, and the first official Bubsy release since 1997! Relive the games that started the notorious career of Bubsy Bobcat in their original incarnations, and experience for yourself the cat-titude and purr-sonality of the first gaming mascot to have a digitized (and unforgettable) voice, one whose words still resound in the minds of all who played his games: “What could paw-sibly go wrong?”
Bubsy Two-Fur features:
- Faithful emulation of the SNES version of both games packaged together in a single executable, letting you relive the games in their original glory smoothly on modern machines.
- Save anywhere, any time! 9 available save slots per game means you can make your own checkpoints any place or time you want. No more typing in passwords to restore your progress!
- Two controllers can be configured for keyboard or game controllers for co-op and competitive local multiplayer in Bubsy II.
- 'Paws' the emulation at any time to help you save or load the game at the exact frame you want.
- Steam Trading Cards featuring exquisite Bubsy comic book art.
The two games included in Bubsy Two-Fur are:
BUBSY in: CLAWS ENCOUNTERS OF THE FURRED KIND:
"I'm Bubsy. I'm tryin' to save the Earth from Woolies. No, Woolies aren't what you get from wearing cheap underwear! Woolies are space dweebs in flying saucers out to purrloin the Earth's supply of yarnballs. But enough about them. Let's talk about me!"
- 16 megs -"Over 40 awesome animations. Five wild worlds. Countless furballs!"
- 16 big levels -"An average of 300 screens purr level. Humongous or what."
- 7 music tracks -"Just like goin' to the show to see a 'Furminator' movie."
- Interactive cartoon -"Spend Saturdays playing cartoons, not watching 'em!"
- More Sound Effects -"I plop. I boing. I splat. I need medical attention."
- Gorgeous Graphics -"I'm prettier than Mel and Debbie Gibson combined."
- Digitized voice -"Next, I'm gonna get my own 1-900 number."
BUBSY II:
Defeat droves of dive-bombing penguins! Squash squadrons of flying pigs! Trash tons of turbo-powered sheep! It's all waiting for you in this wacky, whirlwind adventure through the Amazatorium!
- Toys! Bubsy has his very own action toy bazooka, a diving suit and a smart bomb.
- Thirty levels filled with a bazillion bad guys.
- Freedom! Thanks to his own portable hole, Bubsy can roam through any world anytime.
- Best Time or High Score - your choice.

I first played Bubsy on the Sega Channel, so it reminds me of that. If you don’t know, the Sega Channel was basically like Steam in the 90’s. It was a video game rental service, same as Steam, but it came through your cable TV. That was fucking mind blowing at the time, so it gets a recommendation purely based on nostalgia, what else can I tell ya.
The gameplay itself is a sloppy mess. There are parts of the game where it seems like Bubsy is supposed to fly through the levels like Sonic, but will be greeted by an enemy off screen and lose a life, it gets old pretty fast. This collection also includes the 2nd Bubsy, which the little bit I played did seem more well polished.
Please just don't. Emulation almost broke my will to live more than Bubsy ever did.
Plentiful Audio issues, control lag long enough to make a coffee in all on top of the mess the games were already in.
I love playing games for the meme but this was just painful. Emulate them yourself and save the hassle.
I'm a sucker for Bubsy. I gotta give my younger self credit for beating this game all those years ago. It's the most frustrating fun you'll ever have!
it's annoying and fun
What could Paw-sably go wrong?
Wowza! It's Bubsy! Bubsy Bobcat! What a great guy! Just don't call Rubsy.... This is a neat little computer programme where you can choose between the game "Bubsy in: Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind" or the game 'Yume Nikki" ! In the former, you shall play as Bubsy Bobcat and will see his journey to Catch Rubsy, (Or he'll Regret It...) through 6 differing locations. My favourite is the 4th one, where you find yourself (Bubsy) in New York City and find Bobby Bobcat and get to see his famous tour through New York City! The latter game is quite odd, you explore the strange areas, looking all over the place for things, while strange music plays. My favourite world is the music world, because it has the funniest musak.... This game is so odd and confusing that it's less of a game you play and more of an experience you go through. All in all, this might pawssibly be one of the greatest things made with a computer.
Bubsy Bubsy Bubsy Bubsy BobCaaaaaatt!!!!!!!
that fuckass bobcat
Greatest of all time. Zenith of the medium. Hallmark of media. Gold standard of storytelling. Apogee of creativity. Vertex of invention. Crest of ingenuity. Acme of imagination. Pinnacle of innovation. Epic of epics. Legend among legends. Peak fiction.
Aside from the fact it's Bubsy, the emulation is piss poor with audio problems up the wazoo.
