So...Confession time. I actually bought the game because the artwork look like an interesting horror art and the pictures just showed text. So I concluded (without reading anything at all) that this was a $.99 text based horror game. I love texted based games, so I bought it. And I played it. And, honestly, I enjoy it. It's a great program that I can open up and relax with some math problems (something I seriously do in my day to day) and then go about my day after. I didn't know it was created by a young girl, and helped by her dad. That knowledge is definitely interesting and I would like to say that your marketing strategy worked :) Keep it up, I look forward to more artwork and more challenges!

Go girl. Keep learning, keep coding, keep growing. You are a bright light in the future of video games. Now qbasic, then c, or maybe c# (or maybe I am too old)... Unity? Unreal engine? Who knows! the basics of programming languanges are always the same, with different flavours. I'm eager to discover your new games... please keep going, don't let you down on that, no matter what.
They can't take the space from you!
A wonderful first effort in programming and hopefully we see more games to come from Penny. This game can be quite fun given that you're often adding 2 digit numbers together -- try to instinctively add without actually doing the maths in your head and see how you go!
From what I gather, the programmer/creator is a child - so only buy this tool if you want to throw a buck in support of a potential future game creator. I say 'tool', because this isn't a game by a long shot. You are quite literally getting what you think you are getting. There isn't even a menu. It loads up and simply asks you to do elementary addition and subtraction. I hear it even repeats the same questions. Needless to say I won't be playing any longer. I am quite good at math, but this just feels like work. Her father probably should have encouraged a bit more effort before actually selling this, but again, my support goes out in the form of my dollar and this upvote.
At this point, I won't refund because I'm fine with supporting a silly little project BUT if this sort of practice becomes a trend, you won't find me staying onboard. It's a one trick pony, of sorts. I also hope that for the small asking price, we may get some QoL updates like a menu and some more complex math questions. It would be neat to observe the learning arc of the young programmer over time through this game (and others).
One day, when I was 7, my dad brought me an old computer that had just been discarded from his workplace. It had MS-DOS installed, but I didn't know that at the time. Being used to the Windows 95 computers we used at school to learn text processing, I didn't even know what to do with it, and my dad didn't either. Eventually, I discovered that I could make the computer show stuff on the screen by typing certain words (duh!), so I spent hours in front of the computer typing in random words to see if something would come up, and writting down on a piece of paper every word and letter combination that would show something on screen.
So yeah, 7 year old me didn't know how to computer. This girl wrote a videogame and got in on Steam.
Keep going! You have a bright future ahead of you =)
I read about Penny's game on a Danish Tech news site and i have to say it's a great story, keep fanning that flame and i'm sure the young lady will go far in life.

Very well made game -- Runs well, and I didn't encounter any bugs or problems. It's fun seeing how high of a score you can get!
If there's ever a second game, one fun idea could be to add a timer to each question, and bonus points could be earned based upon how quickly you answered :O

Good job Penny! I also learned how to program games in QBASIC when I was about your age some 25 years ago, and I now work in software development as a grown-up, so if you like doing it, I think you should stick with it and learn everything you can about programming. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with next!

Great and useful game! The description says "start playing and get smart" and I can assure you that it works! This game trains your brain and makes you faster with math.
I'm not sure if it's an easter egg or an undocumented feature, but typing 0 will show your score and quit.
The framerate is very stable. It runs flawlessly with a GTX 1070, and in fact, it also runs flawlessly without it.
I really appreciate the "pay once, enjoy forever" spirit. No lootboxes or other type of micro-transactions, no annoying DRM nor third-party account. This is better than most AAA games these days.
I look forward to what is coming next. Maybe an update with subtraction, that you can choose in a menu? ("type 1 for addition", etc).
Best €0.80 I've spent in a while. I will follow this developer's activity and hope to see more games!

Came for the inspiring story behind the game, stayed to confirm I'm just as bad at math now as I was in school.
It's not a complex, blow-out game or anything, but it's clean and well done, and for being made in a few short days by a 7 year old who only just picked up a coding book 28 years older than herself? Wonderful.
I hope you stick to it and continue to grow, I look forward to seeing what you do.
This is the first game of a 7 year old, to be able to release it and make it available to the world, that was unthinkable when I was 7. For that small price it is worth supporting. The Game itself is basic (pun intended), short fun.
Well done, the deceivingly hard questions really throw you for a loop. Wish this developer would make an Adventure or Action game one day, really looking forward to future offerings.
I read the girls story and could not wait to jump at the chance to support her! These days people are so glued to their phones and calculators that they dont seem to have the brain power to do even simple math. This was a great exercise for even my 34 year old brain. Its been so long since I've sat down and did some good old fashioned math, and I encourage everyone to do the same! I'm looking forward to when she learns how to use randomizers! Keep up the great work Penny!
I was not sure if my computer was powerful enough to run this, but it runs like a dream. Great game.
Solid stuff. Hope to see an update that includes subtraction, apparently I'm not quite as good at maths as I thought.
It may not have the flare of a Math Blasters or other math games, but it gets to the core of what those games are about: Math. It has simple intuitive design and keeps score! Best of all, this game was designed by a 7 year old girl. I think she will have a bright future both in mathematics and programming. I hope if she gets support for this that maybe in the future we could see new modes. Perhaps subtraction mode is next?

Solid game design with a tight, rewarding game loop.
Difficulty can spike at times, but the game slowly teaches the player all the tools they'll need.
Visuals are spot on, without trying too hard or using unnecessarily distracting gimmics.
A devilishly clever test of wit. I highly recommend to anyone seeking to improve themselves while having a good time. I eagerly await future offerings from this developer.
