Serious Sam 2 was better... The Devs should play less CoD and remember what a boomer shooter should be like.
Level Design: Pretty Shit, ungodly amount of dark tunnels with the smallest flashlight. Only beige sandy levels or dark tunnels with almost no light
Weapon Design: More time spent with reloading then shooting, not enough ammo to get anything done.
Boss Design: Pretty boring design overall.
A serious package of action! Seriously recommended for anybody who wants to turn their brains off for a while and let the alien scum have it! However, if you want a bigger meaning and an epic story then you should avoid this game like a plague. This kind of humor just isn't for everyone. But if it indeed is for you, then you should also try the DLC (downloadable content) Jewel of The Nile.
Fantastic
This was such a relief after playing SS2, which wasn't really that bad.. but SS3 feels like the true successor to the original and the second encounter.
They calmed down on the traps, but there're still bunch of secrets to find. Gunplay is back to its former glory with refreshed weapons and a bunch of interesting enemies. Excellent pacing and it's really fun and satisfying to blast hundreds of those headless rocket freaks, no matter what weapon you use.

Later fights require finesse and some knowledge of what weapons are most effective in various situations. I ran out of ammo frequently, but that's probably on me for being a bit careless with my shots.
Bunch of interesting enemies! Except maybe the space monkeys. They are fun at first, but I quickly tired of them. And maybe the flying tentacle demon lady, she's like a forced slow kill, but luckily you don't meet too many.
I almost rage quit during the gasoline fetching map, because I was rushing to gather all the gasoline before being overrun by enemies. After getting seriously angry, I realised that each time I pick up a can, more enemies spawn. Take your time, there's like 1 spot with endless enemies in the entire game, you don't have to rush anything.
After finishing both campaigns, I'm left wanting MORE.
Serious Sam 3: BFE - A Nostalgic Shooter Adventure! 🎮💥
I’ve been a fan of Serious Sam since 2002, and I’ve played the earlier versions countless times! ❤️ I have a deep affection for this series, and I’m really excited about Serious Sam 3. Even though I bought it a while ago, I plan to dive into it with Pouria this year and see if we can finish it together! 🤗🚀
The game brings back the classic blend of fast-paced action and chaotic gameplay that the series is known for. The graphics have seen significant improvements compared to earlier titles, making the experience even more enjoyable. 🌟 The environments, set in ancient Egypt, are beautifully designed, adding a layer of immersion to the already intense gameplay. 🏺🌄
One of the things I love about Serious Sam 3 is its over-the-top action and diverse array of enemies. You’ll find yourself battling hordes of bizarre creatures while wielding an impressive arsenal of weapons. 💣🔫 The thrill of fighting against waves of enemies keeps the adrenaline pumping!
However, with my busy schedule lately, I feel like I'm drifting away from my beloved Sam. 😔 I hope to carve out some time soon to reconnect with this fantastic game and enjoy the wild ride it offers.
If you’re a fan of frantic first-person shooters that don’t take themselves too seriously, Serious Sam 3: BFE is definitely worth your time! 🎉

This is the most dismal and with least of integrality part of the series. Not a bad game, but consolish-low-scale and had none of preeminence in 2011.
Play only for the sake of great-sounding helicopters (sound even better than the FarCry1 copters!)

A high point in the series. Grab this game when it goes on sale. The Serious Sam franchise goes on sale pretty frequently.

Cool game
It is a fantastic Serious Sam game, a really good game overall and you should play it. Go! Seriously ;) I saw some people don't like the modern military shooter style of this episode, but I found it refreshing after playing Serious Sam 2. I guess perfection lies in the middle, but this game doesn't prevent me from playing the two encounters. The game looks really nice especially after the urban levels. Sound and music are great again after a small decline in SS2. Almost all the classic enemies and weapons have returned with some tweaks. Shooting is fun, the levels are nice and I enjoyed the story as well. I was surprised by the environmental destruction. The larger enemies can destroy everything around you which is cool. Netricsa is not a person this time, but acts like a weapon and enemy codex with a sci-fi look. I enjoyed the melee finishers, secrets and Achievements. As before, I'm not happy that the Multiplayer Achievements are also included while the servers are all empty. I've managed to find two guys in total online for some coop, but that is all. I had fun with decorating a Christmas tree as well :D Oh, and there is a Jetpack which is fun, but you only get it for the final boss fight so have fun figuring out the fight and the movement at the same time. After playing the DLC, it feels like they just cut out 3 levels where the jetpack was originally introduced and sold them as DLC later once they were properly done. Those levels would have fit into the story and gameplay well, so I'm a bit sad about this as well. The only major bug I've found is that you can just walk through every tree in the game, they have no collision with the player at all. Overall, a great game!

gameplay is Repetitive as all hell, healing is too limited most healing is 1 health while you scramble around around for more being swarmed by hundreds of enemies bosses when you reach them will one shot you level designs are just confusing its fun for the first 30 mins or so after that its just boring and frustrating and not in the fun way i gave myself a second chance on this game and quit half way through nothing sticks and its just bleh

I've seen some people saying that Serious Sam 3 is a boring FPS game because it is just all about defeating waves of hordes. Come on, bros. That is the best selling point of this game. Serious Sam is a place where you can take a full rest from a long day of work. What you need to do here is just grab some beer, and enjoy killing numerous enemies.
In this game, you have only one task: shooting whatever that can move. If it moves, you kill it, that's all about this game. If you are expecting something that is more profound or requires you to use more brain, you'd better go somewhere else.
So, if you play Serious Sam and expect the series to be profound or contain deep narrative, you are literally in the wrong place because you did not do your homework about the game well before playing it.

He's back the 2nd place, Dukes nephew, the most Serious one of all SAM, definitely not his best cause of the backtracking, but not to bad! Boomer finger got an itch? This will scratch it!

this game is f#$%in awesome great follow up to the series, dam is it hard though they really amped up the difficulty you have to be more tactical than the previous games, graphics is fre@kin amazing for 2011!! jokes and interactions on the phone are freakiny funny as sh%t. the downsides of this game are the weapon reload speed is stoopid slow for such a fast paced game... and the level designs are too similar/back tracking too much sometimes, the first and second encounter are the best in level design hands down. The music also gets too repetitive and annoying other than bossfights so i turn mine down all the to minimum until the melodic metal tunes come in they really slacked in the music/ambient sound department this time.

Bro? your serious?! A 3rd game? I really missed the era that this game was popular or was played because I have no idea how this game franchise made money. Sam wanted to return to its serious self after its goody adventures in the 2nd game. Now its time to be neaty and gritty. Sam not playing around taking on these aliens. We are 3 games in and developers still just spawning 100 of enemies on the player with no scaling for 2 players from 16. New enemies in this game are harder to take out and with a 3 life system not sure how anyone supposed to beat the game with out using unlimited lives. HELL idk how anyones supposed to play this game . It might be the shortest Serious Sam game but it feels a slug to get through. Nothing new other than voiced acted cut scenes because now they try to take the plot seriously. When you reach the end of this God for saken game there is a boss that if you didn't know how to turn off the health regin. Its impossible. The boss can destroy the pillers that has the switchs that can turn of his healing abilit. Even with unlimited health, unlimited bullets, a sand whale and every enemies on the game turn around on the boss. YOU WILL NOT WIN... Serious if you see this game.. just burn it. 2/10
Great fun
The way to go is through Serious Sam Fusion (Which you can get for free and I believe you get a copy as soon as you buy the game).
The game itself is full of problems for modern systems, which are corrected if you use the improved version contained in Fusion.
You just won't get the cards.
But what matters is the game, right?
Awesome game, decent DLC and a good and proper split-screen implementation as well as having online multiplayer thats not half-baked or tacked on, it really can be done still be successful, most devs are just lazy and too eager to take your money, these devs definitely are not.
One of the most boring FPS games ive played in many years, every level is basically the most lifeless, bland it can possibly be, with waves of hordes which can take ages to get through. It also rinse, repeat the same enemies and boss fights over and over again but bit harder every time.
How this has so many good reviews just shows how people are easily entertained by the slop thats thrown at them.

Repetitive, unoriginal and bland. Just your average "Serious Same" game but worse in every aspect than previous entries. if i had to find a series of FPS games that would be an irredeemable waste of time and a clear example of why it's never good when people become stuck at playing nothing but first person shooters, this would be it.
Just shoot the sh*t out of every that moves. Literally, everything. If it moves, shoot it.
