The rules are simple: tap an arrow to move it in the direction it faces. Make a row of 3 tiles of the same color and the tiles disappear.
If that sounds too easy, don’t worry – this game can be devious and you’ll find yourself in situations that require clever manipulation of the game board. There’s an assortment of objectives to keep you on your toes: tiles that chase you, tiles that must be matched within a few moves, tiles that must be protected, and lots more.
As well as 38 free-form stages which play out differently every time, we have created 75 challenges with unique solutions, so the game is crammed with content to keep you busy!
The INFINITY update adds 3 new modes: Endless, Gauntlet and Timed!
- Stylish new game from the creators of the Quell puzzle trilogy
- Catchy jazz soundtrack by Quist
- Full keyboard/mouse/controller support
Crafted with care for PC play.

gotta be the best match 3 puzzle game ever for sure
Such a great match 3! Simple mechanics with so much variety in challenges.
No time for a review so I give this game a rank C.
Okay game - not bad but you can skip it or try on sale.
See my profile for more details about my reviews.
Additional notes: a pleasant take on the bejeweled genre, with the little twist of not necessarily swapping two tiles, but using some (the arrows) to moves. It is okay, nothing revolutionary nor fascinating. The aesthetics and music are very nice though, and there is a little plot going on, admittedly very thin and punctual. Casual thing, probably better on a tablet, so get on sale if you feel like trying this variant.
Swapperoo is a surprisingly good and addictive puzzle game.
There is a number of blocks in few colors that have to be put in at least 3 in line of the same color. The blocks are in shapes correspond with a movement that a piece can do - arrow pointed left can me moved left, circle looks like a button, so after being pressed it disappears, arrow that looks like a drill can destroy a nearby piece etc.
There is a number of modes and challenges. The game's difficulty increases with every level and hard levels are hard indeed.
The appeareance of the game is very pleasant. Pastel colors, soft light. These also make game very relaxing.
I highly recommend Swapperoo.
One of my favorite match-3 games. There's some creative, wild mechanics I haven't seen in other match-3s before. Good graphics and music. There's challenge levels and a few other game modes, you're likely to fall in love with one game mode or another.
I've beaten it on Normal, but Hard stopped me dead with its first levels. This isn't a puzzle, this is a ritual sacrifice of your sanity on the battlefield of mind attrition. I recommend ditching the game's musical loop and go for something hard like Electric Wizard, maybe Witchcult Today. Hard, because this is how your ass will be handed to you. Switch and move, switch-around, pop and align, reverse switch, then protect, then disarm a bomb on its last turn, one out of many, and not then but now, now, everything is happening at the same time, oh wrong move, that's it you're OUT! This is Chechnya! Sorry, I think Swapperoo gave me a concussion. The bombs don't tick in real time, which is a relief, right? Wrong! You've given as much freedom of movement as you need to screw yourself over with your own hands... or turn the tables!
Last turn saves and accidental strokes of genius are the biggest joys you're allowed to have. If only it could happen more often in this random's Saw trap. Gigantic cooldowns on you 3 skills further 'prolong gratification' - swap, delay, detonate. The latter is a screen-cleaner and lifesaver at that, as you can imagine. I could sure use more of those or I'd take stuff blowing up after a particularly impressive match. Can't imagine how it wouldn't add to the game. Anyway, make your skills count or not, you can always get unlucky and face a retry. And while it could be miserable, the overall appealing design made Swapperoo a pleasant boxed Hell for those who inexplicably are into an unforgiving, brutal match-3 experience that wipes with your face. Personally, I suck at it, but I'm going back either to avenge myself or to be humiliated again.
Real talk: ~3.5 hours of more or less compliant Normal, can be played mouse-only, dirt cheap. How could I not recommend it.

Some people are comparing this to Tetris but I don't agree. Swapperoo is a straight up match-3 game, with the twist being that you can only move tiles in the direction that the arrows are pointing. This adds some strategic interest, since you often have to swap a sequence of three or more tiles just to get one tile into the correct position for a match. Most of the game modes have move limits rather than time limits, which I like because it makes the game more like a puzzle that you can take your time to think through (there is an optional timed mode but I did not play it). Overall a decent little puzzle/match-3 game that kept me entertained for a few hours.
I actually had fun with this one. Having all achievements, this baby won't get uninstalled at all because apart from the best personal scores and leaderboards, it's just great to play.
Some hard mode levels demanded some stubborn perseverance though but were nonetheless extra rewarding when finishing them.
The jazzy music is amazing. I didn't turn that off for a second.
Typical match-three game in a row All very well done, nice music and good control, but one more game of this style.
5.5/10

A great little match three game with calming music in the backround while you play 54/100
I loved the Quell series, so of course I needed to buy Swapperoo as well. But at first I was quite disappointed. There were some interesting concepts but the levels were totally dependent on RNG and so not much more fun than any other match-3 clone. However, after playing through the first batch of levels, I discovered 75 Challenge levels which were actual puzzles, so ultimately I'm recommending this game but not for the "main" part as much as for the challenges, which were fun to play.
PS. Why is there no steam achievement for completing Challenges 3 or for beating the par? They are awarded in-game, so I guess it's an omission?
I got this game on sale for only a few bucks, and boy was it ever worth it! The music is really relaxing and the puzzles ramp up at a decent click while still being fun and engaging. Definitely worth every penny!
Definitely a good match 3 type game with puzzles as well. Has an endless mode that is more freeplay. I wish there were more games like this.
Surprisingly high quality match-3 game with enough twists to be interesting and challenging. I really enjoyed completing this game, I wish there was more of it. It's really weird that it's Windows only because it feels like a polished mobile game.
In my opinion Swapperoo is an excellent puzzle-game. It is based on the mechanics of "Tetris" and "Bejeweled", but has it's very own ideas, which create a new gameplay. The levels are based on simple rules, which lead to tricky and challenging levels in the end. You get 25 normal-mode and 13 hard-mode levels. After solving all stages you get 75 bonus task, a endless playing mode and even 2 more stages. So, there is a lot to do.
As once before I don't like the soundtrack choosen by Fallen Tree Games. Quite fast the music started to annoy me. So I turned it off and my own music on - I got an steam-achievement doing this. So FTG sees the with humor - I like this attitude.
Another minus is the bad arrangement of the screen : on the left you see gameplay infos and the level objectives and on the right the level itself - both with the same size. A bad solution in my opinion. The level should fill the middle of the screen and the status info sould be somewhere at the side.
All in all I really liked playing the game because the game-mechanics are well designed.
This game is almost too good! much variety, pure fun!
Thanks, Fallen Tree, can I have more games like this?
Fun match-3 with tricky, rewarding puzzles. The polish on this game is impeccable, from the visual style to that lovely jazz music. There's a light plot - so light it's almost nonexistant - but when it pops up it's nicely handled and adds an air of mystery to the game.
If you like match-3, get it! Absolutely worth it!
A simple relaxing puzzle game. The design of it is easy on the eyes and there isn't a confusion on what to do. There is a tutorial, but what more can you say about a puzzle that is just matching. It is quite fun and challenging. I want to say it is easy because I got high scores a lot on the global matches, but who knooows.
I just want all the achievements.
If you want a relaxing puzzle game that throws you skulls and weird eye shapes then it's a game for you ; u ; I really like it, but its more of a one time game and you should get it for free or really cheap.
Tip: Even though the skulls are annoying and can become a hassle to the challenge itself; focus on the challenge and just keep a watchful eye on the countdowns... because if you are just trying to beat the countdown you will be setting yourself up for a failure.
很棒的三消游戏,配色看起来很舒服,音乐也很不错~
有不同的方块,每一关都有不同的任务,难度递增,挺上瘾的,关卡再多点就好了~
挑战关卡很有趣~
Nice graphics and relaxing music!
Fine puzzle and challenges!
The match 3 game here is ok, but the challenge puzzles are where this game really shines. A huge recommendation if you like any of the other games by Fallen Tree.
Cute graphics, relaxing atmosphere. Nice polish on the interface.
The gameplay is simple, click on a shape to shift it a direction or remove it.
Some of the shapes have a countdown timer, you have to keep removing those or else.
However because you don't have perfect control over the direction, you have to plan.
Sometimes it seems impossible, but more than once I realized some way to clear the skulls right on time. Those little moments feel satisfying.
However just as often you feel screwed that you randomly didn't get the right shapes and have no chance of clearing them in time. You could play perfectly and still lose, that kind of sucks.
There some hint at a story of a wierd glitchy AI trying to escape, it makes you want to keep playing.
Overall it's exactly what you would expect, a shiney puzzle game.
I bit the bullet for $7, and I'm not quite sure it's worth that much. If you love puzzle games then go for it, otherwise wait for a sale.
