Pros:
- Gameplay is fun.
- Controls are mostly intuitive.
- Jerma approved.
- Who needs an electrician's licence when you're messing with high voltages? Go ahead and replace that outlet without turning its breaker off. (In all seriousness they should probably add a breaker box, would be another fun and realistic task to ensure power is turned off before messing with it)
- You can pet the dog.
Cons:
- Laggy even with graphics settings turned down.
- Updates get released as expensive DLCs, making the base game feel lackluster. Gardening should be base game content, my yard is an absolute mess.
- Unity. (I realize this game existed before the runtime fee incident, but it's still kinda a garbage engine, and an old version from 2019 at that)
Nitpicks:
- Not immediately clear how to take care of the dog's hygeine.
- Code is obfuscated making modding difficult.
- The bug vacuum is a pain to control.
- 50+ notifications from the pet app
I recommend giving it a shot if it's on sale
very calming, not high action, but very enjoyable for any creative player

I am confused as to the child penis that seems to be in it as there is a photo in a house that you fix up that has two baby angles hugging which exposed a falice, this is confusing xD and slightly....... baffling as when it's attempted to be sold it says I don't want to earn money this way xD
I got this game for around 70% off during the summer sale. It's an incredibly charming game and I enjoy the many customisation options available. My only gripe is that it can be tedious to get 100% cleanliness with certain things and small objects or things can get in the way of putting furniture down, and they can easily be missed. Even though I enjoy this game I find it difficult to recommend for $30 unless you have some disposable income to burn.

theres a fuckton of dlc that cost way too much, and they really should just be a part of the base game
after you buy that like one big house you were saving up for, you decorate it and then never play the game again

Fun chill game with hilarious details like needing to screw in the nuts and bolts when installing a sink.
Minecraft, but real-life. Minus the survival, unless you count not running out of money as survival. Although it's fairly hard to run out of money in this game, you'd have to be REAL stupid and careless. Please give us more DLC, the dine-out DLC can't come fast enough.
When you invest 91+ hours in a game there is a reason for it.
This one hits on many levels for me and my community.
Its a cool chill time allowing for chat interaction and discussion about the job and more!
The game has been a good one and its sequel is well worth checking out too!
This game is really fun and relaxing, I would recommend this game to everyone to place at least once.
I personally like this game, but I don't think it's probably for everyone. I wouldn't really know how to sell it to you that it's worth the experience- think animal crossing without any the annoying neighbors. You simply get to clean and design. The only bad part is that there's a limited amount of houses you can fix up and sell. Once you've done that- you can start a new file iGuess.
Love this game. I can lose track of time so easily while playing this game. It's incredibly fun and satisfies the need to be creative, in a unique way!
I find this game calming, satisfying, and a bit mindless. You remodel and/or clean out homes, the sense of achievement as you complete tasks is nice. It’s good before bed or if you just need to distract yourself without getting too sucked in to something. I find the controls a little wonky sometimes which can get frustrating, but I’m also too lazy to remap the controls, so…
House Flipper offers a unique experience on both mobile and laptop. The controls and graphics might differ a bit, but the core gameplay of renovating homes is just as engaging. It's great how versatile the game is, allowing for long sessions on either platform. I've enjoyed the flexibility of playing wherever I am, especially on the mobile version, but there’s something satisfying about using a laptop for those detailed renovations.
great to do kind of monotonous tasks and for distraction, i've spent many hours on the game for this reason. the base game is honestly too expensive for the amount of options available on the game. the houses you buy/design are repeated at some point. you level up with tools and skills but eventually you run out of things to level up. this makes the game less enjoyable over time and feels like a money grab with the DLC options. but still recommend it if its on discount

I've got a fair few hours in the game and have played it on and off for a while, these are my thoughts:
Just flipping in the beginning from what I can remember was tons of fun. There was plenty of extra job you could do (which you dont get after a while sso you just run dry aka you cannot make money on the side and now REALLY HAVE TO MAKE A PROFIT OR YOURE SOFTLOCKED) and I was honestly having a blast. HOWEVER.
The longer you continue playing the less it felt like I was making fun houses and the more it felt like a chore. You're telling me I read and catered to what the buyers wanted, repainted, refurbished, remodeled and bought new flooring only to BARELY break even. I put in radiators, I even made a damn sauna but no. Sometimes the buyers will not update their status and will have new complaints once you've put the place up for auction. Now if I wanna try to fix said problems I have to pay a cancellation fee. It's just really tedious sometimes and honestly not really worth it if you're looking to creatively express yourself instead of following a blueprint for every damn house. I really wish I liked this game more and I wish my experience with it had been better but as of right now, I cannot with a good heart recommend it unless you are SUPER SUPER SUPER into these kinds of games and are okey with yank, stutter and non-functioning npc buyers.
I got this game on sale and it was the best $1.50 (I think) I've ever spent. I've splurged on all the DLC which is rare for me (I'm broke) but it's well worth the investment! This game is so calming, it really helps me unwind after a stressful day.
It's far easier (and affordable) to fix up a wrecked, virtual house than it is to fix myself. Cheers to anyone playing this because it's cheaper than going to therapy!!
(In all seriousness, I do find this game really relaxing. It makes it easier to clear my mind after a difficult day because the tasks take time, but are not difficult. It's a good casual game that gives you something to patiently work on. I like that it makes me want to play it without demanding my time. Tasks can be done as quickly or as slowly as you want. And decorating rooms is fun too....minus the OCD that occasionally comes with it.)
fun game. theres days I take this game seriously and make an actual good house, than theres the other days where I buy the most expensive house I can and make it garbage and gain a profit of over $50,000. Sick game I recommend it to all
I'm sure the DLC is worth it, but frankly playing the base game without buying all the fifty million DLC feels like a sub-par, cheap version of the game. Not because it lacks certain features -- I understand that certain things were only added later -- but moreso because the game shoves DLC-locked things in your face constantly and it just feels awkward. The game constantly reminds you to go buy more stuff and it's a bit of a bummer since this is otherwise mostly meant to be a relaxation game for me.
DLCs should never be integrated so much into a base game that it feels like you're just playing a test version unless you spend the 100+ bucks the game asks you to spend. Please understand that if your player likes your game, they will buy your DLC. You don't need to shove it in the player's face all the time breaking their immersion and making them feel like they're missing out.
For that reason I'm gonna say I can't recommend this unless you buy everything.
A great way to kill time and relax after work. Love cleaning up the different houses and choosing from all the options. I can get lost in the game for hours at a time (and trust me, I have!)

I am loving this game. It is so fun and honestly satisfying. I couldn't resist buying the pets dlc and the gardening dlc as well and they are SO WORTH IT. When I am playing this game, my mind is almost silent, which never happens to me as I have ADHD. Highly recommend if you're looking for something chill to just occupy your brain for a bit. I even turn off the in game music to put on my playlists and just vibe. 10/10
Fun game for just relaxing, and creativity, you can customize and sell houses from the colors, and furniture to the lights, outlets, switches, and wall layout. It is quite a fun simulation game, and I have nothing bad to say except that the DLCs are too expensive, and I would appreciate more architectural variety.

This game is fun and easy to get the hang of. The tutorial is part of the game in the sense of "you learn as you go" and once you have enough money, you can have creative freedom in the houses that you can sell.
I was looking for a completely solitary game where I could just decorate and veg out. This is 100% that game. It's so tedious, but so mindnumbingly good.
Finally, the chance to experience home ownership in an economy that doesn't allow the majority of us to event rent a studio apartment. Live out the experience of home ownership and decoration within the virtual confines of game play, until the inevitable collapse of the housing market and economy, where we may potentially have the opportunity to finally own something other than the debt that was throw onto us due to credit card debt from buying groceries.
This game is quite relaxing, & an enjoyable way to pass the time quickly. There is so much to do & the demos help you broaden your experience. Everyone should play this game at least once.
As a perfectionist, I really enjoy this idea of renovating houses. This game matched my hopes perfectly. I did not really have problem with this game expect 2 crashes and one bug thanks to the farm animals that were too close to me when I wanted to feed them. I recommend this game!

This game is a must have for DIY enthusiasts, wannabe or real life designers - it makes me incredibly sick playing this game. I don't even care, I love it so much. I pop my pills and continue on - LOVE IT. So many options for items in the store, cool locations and so much freedom with design. Also love the "jobs" especially with the added content packs. Highly recommend if you're into this sort of thing. The pets are adorable to adopt, and albeit at times stressful (like real life) it is such a fun element.
I can play this game for hours on end. It is very helpful when I am feeling anxious. It gives me an outlet to distract myself and I really enjoy how there are story lines and so many different houses and furniture to choose from. 10/10 recommend.
love this game! was worried i would have no reason to go back to it now i flipped a the houses, but i just discovered the steam workshop, which adds tonnes more items into the game.
I enjoyed playing this a great deal more than other "interior decor" games. I am able to make money quickly in the game, buy new homes, and decorate them anyway I please. The chores that make money are also fun because my skills upgrade quickly.

Really fun game, with the DLC you unlock a lot more things making it very fun, with the different tools and elements you don't get bored doing the same thing over and over again. I personally saw Markiplier play it (My dad and I both use Mac while my sister uses Windows and its available for BothWindows and Apple) and it is a lot more fun than you'd originally think. My Father and Sister also play the game and right now it's a favourite of all of ours.
I love this game and how creative I can be. It is also very relaxing when I need to undwind.

The entire building and garden system is great, but the logic for buyers, what they like, and the system for what constitutes that, is completely broken, and has never been fixed by the developers. So a core part of the experience has been completely busted for years while they pumped out more DLC, and will never be fixed. Shame.

The first game feels more smooth and complete. The option to turn bugs into glass was welcome, and I enjoyed the updates that happened and the DLC. Very worthwhile for the base game and the DLC!
while i love the gameplay, i've suddenly and inexplicably lost all progress and had to start over 2 or 3 times. i figured out a workaround, but it stopped working and i lost all my progress again.. i don't really wanna start all over.
