The game is ok. The only issue im running with is that some installations are indicating in the map that are missing while the installations have been done prior.
It looks like developers are not going to repair the broken game. They are busy with developing the second game in the series.
I would like to ask for refund due to such disrespect to people who purchased the game, but unfortunately Steam will not allow the refund.

was really enjoying this game, it's relaxing and therapeutic. but the office that i've designed, which took me 4-5 hours to make it look awesome and natural, just randomly reset to the original trashy state. do you know how frustrating it was? i thought it only happened to the first office, so i moved to a new office and again spent 4-5 hours decorating it. then after finishing a job and when i wanted to "go back to office", it loads with my laptop on my hand and back to the trash place. so, no, i won't recommend this game unless this is fixed.
Loved this game at first. Had over 75 hours in. But now my office keeps resetting. I clear it and redesign it and then when I go back to it, it is back to the original building. I spend too much in game money to keep losing it all. There are other quirks of the game that I don't like (ex. Some store options are only available if searched. There is no way to just stumble upon them in the store) but I overlooked them. Now, I just feel like it was a waste of money to buy it.
Interface is clunky, and my home base shack gets reset to the original nasty setup full of trash every single time I successfully sell a house. UGH
Spent a lot of my time on my office only for it to reset, you make money, do work, and auction houses to buy stuff for your office, so having it reset to the beginning with no way to return it is disheartening. Like, it's one of the main things of the game.
With the discount the game is almost free which makes it very affordable. The game is very interesting to play, but one thing is that they won't give you all instruments from the start. First, you have to deserve them by working with your bare hands. The game is pretty relaxing, I like it. Recommended.

Yes, I recommend the game because I absolutely love it. I will say I am highly depressed though that once I bought a new property to sell ALL of my progress was deleted. I even want back to an old save file and tried to get it back and it was still TOO LATE. Although it is upsetting I guess I can see it as a positive to start fresh. I do hate I spent 2 days and probably up to 20+ hours just making my office, but it is what it is.. I guess. Time to start new and pray it does not happen again...
Really annoyed my office gets reset when I renovate and sell a different house. Hours of work just gone. Very stupid and is the reason I dont want to play anymore and wont be purchasing any DLC.
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS BUGGED GAME. This game has so many bugs that makes it unplayable. It constantly tells you you have a save error and will reset your main office. I spent hours and in game money repairing my office just to have it completely reset everything. I even started a new game and it happened again. It sucks because this game is so fun, but not if it keeps erasing everything you accomplish. There are hundreds of reviews with users having the same issues, and instead of fixing the problem, this company continues to push out new DLCs for a broken game. The video game industry is nothing but money hungry animals now.
it was great before but after the update the fucking saves arent working? the houses i renovate just go back to the trash they where before...
I started playing house flipper, after a couple missions I decided to clean and renovate my only house (the starting office) and once I fixed it up I did a couple more missions and everything was fine then I logged off. I got back on later and it was the way I left it, I bought a second home to flip and sell, once I finished that house and sold it my starting office got reset and I lost all the work I did to it. wtf
Not sure what happened but I stayed up for hours yesterday putting so much love and work into a house and then again this morning. I took a break and when I came back to it later this evening the entire home was reverted to default, all of my changes were gone, and all the money I earned was gone. I am so heartbroken. I would not recommend putting time into this game.

Sort of a B-grade cross between better cleaning games (Powerwash Simulator, crime scene cleaner) and better house-building games (sims, minecraft), if all of the actual gameplay was replaced with shovelware phone app minigames (watch 10 minutes of any lets play of this game, watch them install a radiator, know it never gets better). It's very bare bones, the controls feel bad (on keyboard, especially window-washing), the DLC all cost $15 apiece, and it has a fundamental design conflict between the house-building player's desire to create the coolest cool thing they can, and the necessity for a houseflipper to spend the bare minimum to maximize profit.
It feels like a cash grab game, but if you catch it on sale for $2.50, it's probably worth that. If you can catch the DLC under a dollar each, they might be worth it then. $2, if you're feeling generous.
I love this game, however my office I poured hours into was reset after finishing a job, so I don't really have much motivation to play anymore. Please address this glitch.
If you love the Sims but particularly making and decorating the homes. this is perfect. Easy to learn and very creative.
gameplay is solid but it crashes so often and so hard that i cant really reccommend it to anybody else. i am particularly patient when it comes to this kind of thing and even then my patience is tested routinely by this game's proclivity to crash at random hard enough to reset my GPU
Just painted an entire room with "Sky blue" before realizing it didn't count because I needed to use "Sky Blue". Devs please play your own game because wtf. Why are there even two different colors with the same name and why are they not even close to being the same color?
Update: I bought my first house, cleaned it up and sold it. Upon returning to my office, I found all the work I did was undone. I spent hours cleaning and decorating just for it all to disappear. Why? Why did that happen? Seriously done playing this game and I wish I could still get a refund.
This game has some of the worst controls I have ever seen in my entire life. A lot of these keybinds are also completely locked and cannot be changed whatsoever. I literally cannot play this game without being filled with rage.
I have played over 100 hours of this game. While it is relaxing, to some extent- the part that has convinced me to write this review and tell others to not waste their money... is there is a significant bug that will 100% prevent you from getting all of the achievements.
In a DLC "Luxury Flipper" there is a home under the title "Forgotten Heritage" that there is a piano to which you need to renovate. The worst thing about this horrible glitch- is it isn't the same across the board. For MY game, I can move the camera when trying to clean the keys with A and D, but I can only move along the keys to clean them. I cannot move the camera to clean the FRONT of the keys and I am stuck at 93% completed and it doesn't give the "press x to complete this step" like it does because THAT only pops up at 95% completion. Other people have their camera's stuck INSIDE the actual body of the piano but still cannot move past 93% complete. Thus you will never EVER be able to get the "Perfectionist" achievement.
Of no fault of your own, and instead Empyrean seems dead set on ignoring this issue, because they keep coming out with pointless excess DLC and not fixing this one that many people are running into. So until the Devs decide to actually listen to their community, I will say-
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS GAME.
Who would’ve thought a game could change my life? After flipping virtual houses and scrubbing windows in-game, I looked at my own windows and thought, "Wait... I can do this too!"
So, I picked up some cleaner, wiped away the layers of dust, and voilà - sunlight streamed in for the first time in ages. House Flipper didn’t just upgrade virtual properties; it upgraded my actual living space.
Unexpected life improvement simulator? 10/10 would clean windows again!
Too many repetitive tasks such as clicking to screw something. I just cannot recommend this game.

Deceptive, honestly. Make it so you can't properly play around with building and destruction and get past the 2 hour mark... only to find out the 'play your way' regarding walls does not include the exterior ones. So not so free to play the way you want after all. I shouldn't have to spoil every little mechanic, upgrade, etc in the game, since the game is upgrading what you can do and finding new things you can do.
I've seen houses flipped all the time that remove elements and add new ones. It makes no sense not to have it. Even if it's a 'too hard to code in now', it should have never been something that wasn't included in a game like this.
Clearly a lot of misplaced praised by people who just want to grind nothingness, which isn't bad, but don't call it house flipper just cause you can flip houses. It's more of a handy man and interior decorator simulator.
I really enjoyed this game! I would never buy it full price tho $2 is the perfect amount if you payed $25 dollars for this game you got scammed and i have to say releasing new dlc after releasing the second title of this series is nasty work and so is having achievements that require to buy dlc.
Devs released House Flipper 2 and then released yet another cash grab DLC for this game locking new achievements behind another paywall
Most of the achievements are locked behind DLC packs that are each the price of a small indie game and add minimal content that brings not much new or innovative gameplay.
Really satisfying and low stress game with a lot to do. Missions feel short enough that you don't feel much pressure or need for time when opening up the game, but also contain enough content to feel satisfying. I personally enjoy the kind of sterile realistic graphics and sound effects. DLC is not necessary but I would recommend Garden since it adds onto the base game tasks in a natural way that will probably be enjoyable for most players for a very low cost.
House flipper and its successor (HF2) are my GO TO cozy games for when I want to unwind and immerse myself in creating cute little homes.
HF1 has had so much support over the years be it DLC, hotfixes or even free content updates, and I pretty much got this upon release and have stayed through to it's final DLC (dineout).
There's so much content in house flipper you'll never run out of things to do. Want to be told what they want? there's story jobs. Wanna go nuts and do your own thing? Buy and flip all the houses! Wanna create a house, a shop, a cozy little cafe? the possibilities are endless and even more expanded upon with access to steam workshop!
Regardless if you want the DLCS (which *nearly* all add new properties, jobs, items and mechanics) or not you'll never be bored with house flipper!
Personal opinion here though, if you're gonna get the base game as a start, AT LEAST get garden as well so you can do both inside and out then maybe venture into the other DLCS if you are undecided right now!

I've always liked building and decorating houses in games, and watching HGTV shows, so this game is the perfect mix that makes me feel like I'm participating in an episode of Flip or Flop, Love It or List It, or Property Brothers. I love this game
This game is awesome! I have been waiting forever to play this game. Everything about it is great. So relaxing and enjoyable. Great to see many updates to it too and for it to continue.

This game is pretty fun and relaxing if you like to play games that have cleaning or decorating, I am glad I chose to get it
I love this game! The gameplay loop and replayability is perfect for me. There's something so relaxing and soothing about being able to clean up and customize houses. AND the community's workshop items have changed the game entirely for me. I now use it to rough draft location and background ideas for art, being able to visualize in a 3d space how my background will be set up is fantastic.
All that to say that I love simulation games like this and the creativity it allows you to bring to it! The game itself is fun and relaxing but being able to go beyond that with mine and other's creativity is what keeps me coming back

This game is relaxing, fun, peaceful, and overall just a blast. It's amazing what joy such little hard work in a video game can bring you. This game really makes me hyper focus and lose track of time so easily.
I've been playing this game for almost 6 years, and other than a little bit of lag (probably mostly due to age of my computer), I absolutely love playing this game and have loved every update with get with it. it's one of my favorite games to just launch and casually play though. I just love it.
A very relaxing game that, although is repetitive, is interesting. I do have to say that the DLC's make it where you have a lot more to do.
Even with House Flipper 2 out they continue to add to this one and it only gets better. I cannot recommend it enough - 2 gives you some really nice QoL updates and new experiences but I always keep coming back to the Original as it just can't be beat.
This is the type of game you play when you need to let your creativity out once in a while or just need ideas on what to do with your home irl
You know, the devs of the game. I have some ideas for your next games or even maybe a new DLC. For a taste, Farmland Flipper, Estate Flipper, Hotel Flipper, and then something maybe for the "END OF DAYS" Country Flipper. Sounds like "Conspiracy" You know what I mean? *Wink Wink* *Nudge Nudge*.
