Too many repetitive tasks such as clicking to screw something. I just cannot recommend this game.

Deceptive, honestly. Make it so you can't properly play around with building and destruction and get past the 2 hour mark... only to find out the 'play your way' regarding walls does not include the exterior ones. So not so free to play the way you want after all. I shouldn't have to spoil every little mechanic, upgrade, etc in the game, since the game is upgrading what you can do and finding new things you can do.
I've seen houses flipped all the time that remove elements and add new ones. It makes no sense not to have it. Even if it's a 'too hard to code in now', it should have never been something that wasn't included in a game like this.
Clearly a lot of misplaced praised by people who just want to grind nothingness, which isn't bad, but don't call it house flipper just cause you can flip houses. It's more of a handy man and interior decorator simulator.
I really enjoyed this game! I would never buy it full price tho $2 is the perfect amount if you payed $25 dollars for this game you got scammed and i have to say releasing new dlc after releasing the second title of this series is nasty work and so is having achievements that require to buy dlc.
Devs released House Flipper 2 and then released yet another cash grab DLC for this game locking new achievements behind another paywall
Most of the achievements are locked behind DLC packs that are each the price of a small indie game and add minimal content that brings not much new or innovative gameplay.
House flipper and its successor (HF2) are my GO TO cozy games for when I want to unwind and immerse myself in creating cute little homes.
HF1 has had so much support over the years be it DLC, hotfixes or even free content updates, and I pretty much got this upon release and have stayed through to it's final DLC (dineout).
There's so much content in house flipper you'll never run out of things to do. Want to be told what they want? there's story jobs. Wanna go nuts and do your own thing? Buy and flip all the houses! Wanna create a house, a shop, a cozy little cafe? the possibilities are endless and even more expanded upon with access to steam workshop!
Regardless if you want the DLCS (which *nearly* all add new properties, jobs, items and mechanics) or not you'll never be bored with house flipper!
Personal opinion here though, if you're gonna get the base game as a start, AT LEAST get garden as well so you can do both inside and out then maybe venture into the other DLCS if you are undecided right now!

I've always liked building and decorating houses in games, and watching HGTV shows, so this game is the perfect mix that makes me feel like I'm participating in an episode of Flip or Flop, Love It or List It, or Property Brothers. I love this game
This game is awesome! I have been waiting forever to play this game. Everything about it is great. So relaxing and enjoyable. Great to see many updates to it too and for it to continue.

This game is pretty fun and relaxing if you like to play games that have cleaning or decorating, I am glad I chose to get it
I love this game! The gameplay loop and replayability is perfect for me. There's something so relaxing and soothing about being able to clean up and customize houses. AND the community's workshop items have changed the game entirely for me. I now use it to rough draft location and background ideas for art, being able to visualize in a 3d space how my background will be set up is fantastic.
All that to say that I love simulation games like this and the creativity it allows you to bring to it! The game itself is fun and relaxing but being able to go beyond that with mine and other's creativity is what keeps me coming back

This game is relaxing, fun, peaceful, and overall just a blast. It's amazing what joy such little hard work in a video game can bring you. This game really makes me hyper focus and lose track of time so easily.
I've been playing this game for almost 6 years, and other than a little bit of lag (probably mostly due to age of my computer), I absolutely love playing this game and have loved every update with get with it. it's one of my favorite games to just launch and casually play though. I just love it.
A very relaxing game that, although is repetitive, is interesting. I do have to say that the DLC's make it where you have a lot more to do.
Even with House Flipper 2 out they continue to add to this one and it only gets better. I cannot recommend it enough - 2 gives you some really nice QoL updates and new experiences but I always keep coming back to the Original as it just can't be beat.
This is the type of game you play when you need to let your creativity out once in a while or just need ideas on what to do with your home irl
You know, the devs of the game. I have some ideas for your next games or even maybe a new DLC. For a taste, Farmland Flipper, Estate Flipper, Hotel Flipper, and then something maybe for the "END OF DAYS" Country Flipper. Sounds like "Conspiracy" You know what I mean? *Wink Wink* *Nudge Nudge*.

Great Game. Have on multiple platforms and each update adds a new fun element. Find myself always circling back to this one! Plus you had me at animals with hats
Not recommend. The experience is fine but some bugs when you try to repair the electric outlet in Amanda's wall.
Fun and relaxing to play. only difficult thing is to decide which paint flooring and furniture to use. if you are doubting about the price, its worth it. dlcs are nice, but the game is very playable as is, just enjoy, maybe buy dlc's on sale one by one over time, like i did.
Not really much of a game. Just a bunch of chores. Doesn't seem to have anything other than a list of actions to take. No strategy, no reason to do much of anything within the "game."
Awesome game with awesome devs. If you enjoy causal games that allow creativity, this is a game is for you. The Devs are great too and are always fixing any bugs that may crop up and listen to the community. Also they just keep improving this game despite having released a sequel last year. Buy it, its fun and addictive, I've gotten over a year of consistent gameplay out of it.
I personally really enjoyed house flipper! I have played all the main houses, and am currently just doing the ones on the market area. It is nice to just relax to and not have to think too much on it.
This game may not be a Paradox game but the dlc they add makes it seem like it is. I stopped playing when they released a dlc that was the same price as the I bought the game for mostly because it felt like early access and I didn't want to be involved in another Ark situation. The dlc's I've seen add things that should be base game but someone loves money way more then their game and their community. I do love this game but after what they did I can't bring myself to be involved with a game like this.
It's a good game when you are sitting in the office and have nothing to do with your job. House Flipper is a good choice to spend time with. I love the process of cleaning houses and removing all the garbage. I also enjoy painting the wall with different colors. However buying furniture and put them into the empty space in the house is kind of boring, and also there's no that much types of furniture that you can choose if you want to build your own house. Sometimes I don't like the structure of the original building and want to remove everything of the house, including the outer wall, but the game doesn't allow me to do that. It'll be better if the game allows me to building everything from a completely clear land, just as how Minecraft and Sims 4 do.
House Flipper 1 is a great game. I have sold over 150 houses so far and it never gets old, though I have been playing since 2020. I only wish there was more time in the week to spend on it. A very playable and friendly game, strangely calming too. Sometimes building new ones or simply making old houses into looking fabulous!
Such a great way to pass the time. You can do it mindlessly which is a good thing!
Giving a negative review just based on the fact that the devs have locked some of the keybinds, not allowing you to change them. Left shift isn't run, crouch isn't control, everything is messed up and they don't let you change it. There's complaints about this online as well, and the devs have ignored all of them. Shame, but I'm not about to deal with this needlessly strict rule. Was excited to play the game again too.
for those that played the sims solely for building houses, this one is for you
golden game for those enthused by interior design. really good balance of detail. there's just enough to keep you entertained without feeling bored or overwhelmed. the task guide is also an absolute lifesaver sometimes lol

I've played a bunch of times but each time I have to uninstall for another game [like Fortnite since my community likes playing it now that the new season is ACTUALLY good] it erases my previous saves... I don't like having to redo all my designs more than twice or doing something new. I wish it saved my progress like my other games do even if I uninstall them for space.
I miss my OG designs and I was halfway done with designing my dream home when I uninstalled the first time for another games update and when I went back to this it was GONE *poof* - Was upsetting so I redid everything a 2nd time, then I had to uninstall again. Same thing happened. Had to start all over then lost my drive to play. Had to redo all the missions too.

If you love being able to create homes in Sims, you'll for sure enjoy this. You get to remodel homes and make front yards look nice. As a longtime fan of Sims franchise and someone who spends a lot of time on my homes in game and in real life, this is a perfect game and super relaxing. Also very straight forward, easy controls and great graphics.
fun and relaxing game to play at your own pace, very chill. if you like building, decorating or DIY, this game feels suited for that.
House flipper fulfills all my home owning dreams while living in an apartment IRL. I loved it so much that when the Garden Flipper addition came out, I had to get it so I could plant all the beautiful flowers and bushes I wanted to. If you don't like cockroaches (some of the houses have that as something you need to clean up) there is a setting to change it so it appears as broken glass instead. I think it's really fun that while you're flipping, you're able to see what potential buyers want and really cater to that to hopefully get the most money! I also really enjoy downloading community made items to decorate the house with. <3
I really like the game. Its fun and satisfying. I don't understand why they would release a second one but keep releasing DLC for the first one. Seems very money motivated, especially because of how expensive the DLC is. Its just like the Sims in that regard.
Pros:
- Gameplay is fun.
- Controls are mostly intuitive.
- Jerma approved.
- Who needs an electrician's licence when you're messing with high voltages? Go ahead and replace that outlet without turning its breaker off. (In all seriousness they should probably add a breaker box, would be another fun and realistic task to ensure power is turned off before messing with it)
- You can pet the dog.
Cons:
- Laggy even with graphics settings turned down.
- Updates get released as expensive DLCs, making the base game feel lackluster. Gardening should be base game content, my yard is an absolute mess.
- Unity. (I realize this game existed before the runtime fee incident, but it's still kinda a garbage engine, and an old version from 2019 at that)
Nitpicks:
- Not immediately clear how to take care of the dog's hygeine.
- Code is obfuscated making modding difficult.
- The bug vacuum is a pain to control.
- 50+ notifications from the pet app
I recommend giving it a shot if it's on sale
very calming, not high action, but very enjoyable for any creative player
