i love that feeling of being lost for over an hour to find out that the solution was right in front of me, definitely recommend it. i don't know a single other puzzle game do that to me

Very fun game but at some point i felt the game required a highlevel of intellegence to be able to proceed.
I stopeed playing when i would spend over an hour trying to solved one stage.

Every puzzle has infinite retries. Great game to play for a bit and then come back to if your brain gets puzzled out.

Though solutions are interesting once understood, puzzles rely too much on random guessing, so there is frequently little sense of satisfaction upon completing a puzzle. Additionally, many puzzles rely on basic sokoban mechanics which isn't interesting, as sokobans are extremely common.

A fun game to always try and entertain your brain a bit. Genuinely feels nice being able to 100% it and on top of that, installing a bunch of level packs that are very faithful to the base game. Always fun booting this up every now and then.

What an incredible puzzle game, it seems so simple at the start but as you get further in to the levels you start a lot of complexity in terms of what you can do and what the level needs you to do. I really enjoyed my experience, even though I got frustated sometimes for not knowing what to do.

It's a cool game about using text to beat levels and stuff.

Beautiful game, the puzzles are definitely unconventional, hard but fair. Would definitely recommend.

I absolutely suck at this game and it makes me feel like I have room temperature IQ. But, I had a valuable realisation. I constantly feel like I have tried all combinations that could possibly be worth doing and the puzzle seems impossible. I then wonder how many times in my life I looked at a situation where I believed there was no possible solution and gave up when there may in fact have been one. That's what I really got out of this game. Now I don't give up on things in life so easily.
Maybe this game will make you feel that too, even if you suck at it. Particularly if you suck at it.

Very comfy game but also can be very hard. There tend to be two kinds of puzzles in games broadly speaking, hard to solve but easy once you figure it out, and easy to figure out the trick but hard to arrange the pieces. This game tends to have puzzles of the former category where most of the levels require clever solutions but aren't tedious to execute which is my favorite kind. There are a few of the latter kind but the game is primarily one of figuring out the puzzles' tricks.

It's Baba!! What can I even say about this game that hasn't already been said. Its unique premise, tight and engaging puzzle design, and cozy-cute visual and sound design all come together perfectly to create one of the most satisfying puzzle game experiences out there. It's an impeccable concept for a game with an EVEN BETTER execution. And on top of that, the amount of content in the game (hundreds of levels!) is so substantial that the thirst to spend as much time as you can here is easily slaked.

The concept of puzzles in Baba is You stimulate the brain and make you sometimes feel that the level is unsolvable, only to come back days later and realize it actually wasn’t after deep thought. Then, you get a great feeling of satisfaction.

Some levels, however, feel too tightly packed, with such a large search space that brute-forcing every option takes too long.

This is a really fun puzzle game. Makes you think outside of the box. Frustrating at times but super satisfying to beat hard levels. Even funner with friends.

Yep the best puzzle game is a sokoban game. Who would have thought that Baba and stephen's sausage roll would be the peak of puzzle design.

This game is incredibly well-crafted and clever. It's also hard-- and for me, it wasn't hard in the fun way.

While looking around at guides, I saw someone say that every level of this game has two solutions: the beautiful, elegant solution that doesn't work, and the complicated, finicky, real solution that you'd never guess. If you like screwing around with this game's mechanics in every conceivable way until you come across a solution that might just work, this game is for you. If you prefer that moment of insight when everyhting becomes clear... well, you can play it like I did: try all the levels, but look up a guide anytime you're not having fun. Even though I only solved most of the early puzzles, and barely any of the later ones, I can appreciate the intricate level design (and the premise in general.)

I haven't read any other reviews, but people are probably saying, "prepare for frustration". I'll add: it's okay if you want to play something that doesn't make you frustrated. If you really want to solve these puzzles, enjoy, but don't let the game get to you!

I have not left any reviews on Steam before but this game is amazing and really deserves one. Yes, the puzzles are hard and sometimes require a long time before you can catch up with the solutions, but the idea behind the puzzles is genius and gives you a crazy amount of satisfaction when you manage to solve them.

I genuinely recommend this game to anyone who loves logic puzzles that offer freedom in solutions.

If you enjoy a challenge with puzzle games, you will enjoy this. By far one of the most difficult ones I've dealt with in a while!
Every puzzle is surprisingly different from the last - there is rarely a theme followed. Mechanics, once briefly introduced, are ignored for some time before creeping back on you when you're finally desperate enough to reexplore them. The game is also kind enough to offer a step-by-step undo feature, as sometimes it is a single step that lead to failure.
I'm proud to say I haven't finished this game, no where near it, in fact. It's reached a point early on already where a single puzzle can take me 15-20 minutes, and it WILL be getting harder. Definitely a game I'll be willing to keep in the background for rainy days for the satisfaction of finishing a single level.

Either I'm too dumb for this game (very possible) or the rules are too... variable? It's hard to tell what some of the verb commands mean (e.g., "make"). I'm a fan of programming games but even though I've completed several others, I've been stuck on this one for years. Definitely not for beginners. Or intermediates.

It's a puzzle game with what I think is called abstract hierarchical logic, meaning that certain commands for solving a problem are processed before others. You have to make sure you understand how the game processes the solutions. New objects are also generated based on the direction you placed them into a square, so you might have to undo a few previous steps to place something into a certain square from the correct angle, so that it can do stuff like duplicate itself in the correct direction.

All of these ideas make a lot more sense when you see them in motion.

This game is fun, unique, but challenging as well.

This unique but genius designed puzzle game is a timeless classic and a it's a game I always come back to. The game really challenges you to think outside of the box. There is a lot of variety in levels and creative puzzle solving.

Be prepared, the game can be HARD, especially on later levels. But very rewarding once you find a solution.

There is also a level editor with a ton of fun designed levels by other players you can try.

An incredible and unique experience, the challenge never stops and constantly evolves

Baba Is You is an incredible game, perhaps even the best puzzle game ever created. At first glance, it may seem simple, but after a few levels, the player faces difficulties.

The difficulty increases rapidly, and there are times when you just sit there and can't figure out how to complete the next level. But, surprisingly, it is this moment of "misunderstanding" that turns into real pleasure when you finally solve the riddle. Every decision here is a small victory. You don't just solve puzzles here — you become part of the gameplay, where you control the logic of what is happening.

If you love puzzles, then Baba Is You is just a MUST HAVE. Even if sometimes it seems that the solution does not come, be sure that in the end you will be able to find the right way, and the satisfaction of solving the problem will be worth it

One of the greatest games of all time. Genuinely cannot think of a better puzzle game than this, it pushes the boundaries in complexity and thinking of solutions in a friendly environment that pushes you into the edge in the endgame. I actually have no words to say beyond, wow.

Baba is you is the best puzzle game I have experienced so far. A few years back when I first tried the game the experience was largely negative as I was stuck at several levels without any insight. Until recently, I always believed puzzle games are not for me as they can easily frustrate me, and it is hard to find a balance between the joy of finding solutions and the mental struggles involved, The game experience this time, however, was totally different as me and a good friend of mine played together via discord. We'd test out different hypotheses, offered each other insights, and of course struggled at getting things done. I was finally touched by the magic and charisma of Baba Is You.
Talking back about the game, I just adored the game dynamics and innovative design: the combination of box pushing and coding snippets are fine tuned just too intricately in the game. Few games allow players to experiment everything possible and interact with every element in it in a logical and meaningful way, and I could only think of Breath of the Wild and Crypt of the Necrodancer besides Baba Is You. I also just love meta games that challenge every rule in the game, and Baba just did a perfect, and even layered, job in uncovering what rules can be perceived and utilized. When I looked at the images from the gallery, I had an immediate flashback to The Witness, where I sat there for hours watching those Easter videos. They both made me feel smart and good about myself, and feel admiration for the creators behind them.

One of the best puzzle games of all time. Such an amazing concept beautifully executed, pushed every limit of the concept to the edge. By god does it get hard though, at some point I suggest just looking up hints and solutions to get past a puzzle if you don't know. There's so much more to see beyond a couple of tricky solutions.

Really relaxing and satisfying game. Currently unhealthily addicted. Some of the puzzles have dumb solutions but most of them make you feel really clever when you solve them. Good game if you want to practice thinking outside the box.

Really fun game. It's frustrating, challenging, and addicting all at the same time. I never knew I had the "patience" to stubbornly work on a puzzle I'm stuck on for wayyy too long before this game.

I think it's safe to say it's the best puzzle game ever made, the main gameplay concept is just too powerful for any other game to look on the same level, and the puzzles use it's mechanics perfectly with plenty of challenge.

Incredible puzzle game. Great game for a break between giant immersive games or games that require crazy mechanics. This game plays on logic and expands your mind to possibilities that you never thought would be possible given the constraints, but you can change the rules and find creative solutions.

Baba Is You is such an incredible game, maybe even the best puzzle game ever made. Even though it gets really hard quite fast, so that you might stare at one level for ages without having a clue, eventually you will beat it and all of that is exactly why this game is so amazing and fun!

Fun game about literally bending the rules to beat levels. I don't personally remember the last time I played this for fun, but from what I do remember, finally figuring out the way to beat a level is really satisfying especially with the way this game is set up in the first place. I wouldn't wager this game to be worth 15 dollars, maybe somewhere closer to 10, but still a good experience nonetheless.

I love this game, as it is unique, can be incredibly mind-boggling and hard, and best of all, satisfying!

I played this game, and it is not for me. But if you enjoy this type of game, then I recommend this.

As someone who's bad at both coding and logic puzzles? This game is impossible but when I DO beat a level it's a great thrill.

One of the greatest puzzle games ever created and almost certainly the best sokoban. Endlessly creative with elegantly designed puzzles. When you solve a particularly difficult level, you are in awe of its creator's brilliance and you feel a tremendous satisfaction which is earned.

Graphics are low-fi but charming and music is very enjoyable.

One last note, the game is VERY difficult but not unfair, boring, or meaninglessly so.

Definitely the best puzzle game I've played. It`s really complicated but silly and fun at the same time. If challenges and joy from solving something hard is what you like - I really recommend to give it a try.
