Why not assemble Serious Sam HD First and Second Encounter into one game and call it simply Serious Sam 1? So that we have a series of 1, 2, 3, 4 and maybe others in the future. I know that all chapters of First Encounter HD are included into Second Encounter HD, but they have no order there, they're kinda messy. I'd be nice to have them ordered in a linear way as in original games, but assembled in one. And please name games accordingly so that they get arranged chronologically in Steam Library (or anywhere else).
Trying to write a review via the Steam Client leads to a deleted Store Page, but I've found this one and it seems to be in my Library and it is the exact same version so here we go. Everything I mentioned in my review of TFE, but also 3 brand new and more detailed locations, great new weapons and a crazy amount of creative and MAD secrets. This one is among the best if not the best of the Serious Sam games. If you like any of them and you somehow missed this one, it is a must play! The gravity fun is gone compared to the original release, but the graphics are much nicer, there are new secrets and even the reworked rooms without the gravity manipulation are fun. I'm still sad that the majority of the Achivements are Multiplayer related and there are no people online at all. The servers are there, but empty. At least I saw a few people here and there in TFE. The Survival mode is also fun. Go, play TSE!
Best fps game of all time.
Another HD remake of another great Serious Sam game although there is something I didn't like about this one. Overall it feels great to play , and the graphics got updated giving many beautiful locations from the classics have that much better polished appearance
BUT
My only nitpick is with something MAJOR that I have noticed and CANNOT forgive Croteam for: ..the Mayan puzzles. Croteam PLEASE for the love of God. ADD THE QUIRKY GRAVITY DEFYING PHYSICS TO THEM SOMEHOW LIKE YOU DID IN THE CLASSICS!!!!! just for that reason it's an 8/10 >:c
other than that it's a really good remake (despite some health/armor pickups and some other models being copy and pasted from classics). Highly recommend especially considering that it has Steam Workshop support as well!
Gameplay wise it's bigger and better than the First Encounter. A couple new weapons, more locaitons, more enemies, more of everything.
Story wise (for weirdos like me who care about that) it's pretty bad. It's a non-canon comedy filler art that starts because of some inside joke by the developers and ends by returning to the same state of events as before, right after putting all continuety in the trash.
But it takes a very special person to care about the Serious Sam story, and gameplay is still just better than the First Encounter.
serious sam HD 2 this game gave us the flamer and the chainsaw this is the best end to the first part of sams story

A game you can enjoy without thinking too much, or at all. Shoot seemingly endless amounts of enemies while traversing ancient civilizations. What is there not to like.

It is a lot of fun and I would highly recommend. the jokes are great and the action is awesome
This game has been my whole adolescence. Probably the most fun i have ever had in a multiplayer game. Fragging since 2012
