HD Edition

Been a stronghold fan for a very long time. Before Steam was a thing. Stronghold Crusader has been one of my favorite all time RTS games. The castle building fulfills my dreams with plenty of combat and economic depth that is somehow still simple and not too hard to manage. Thank You FIREFLY STUDIOS for this game.
This is one of the most amazing games that I've ever played. Tbh, it's very old, but soooo good! Sometimes you need a bunch of people to kill some of the opponents. Some of the tough guys have their strategy to build their castle that are so great built you need to think how to arrive to their king. The Pig & Sultan are the most easy opponents you can defeat; their castle is never so good built, so you don't have to think very much how to get to the king. I always send assassins. Get the game while it's on sale!

Great game, no need for remaster, I like it as it is, but I would like to have posibility to play Trail missions in cooperative mode with friends. All in all would recommend to anyone :)
This game is AWESOME!!
I am first time play this game, for my review are mixed. So gameplay are simple, gather people, build stronghold for defence their base and prepare for army to attack another foe base, win the game thats it. Graphics are no problem (off course this game from 2002). When I trying busy playing game, some are very buggy (if you found on youtube thats a lot of game bugs, eg. the ox teleport into stockpile for more fast stock for stone.).
But for future, maybe i play definitive edition. Idk
I've played this game off and on for years and I love it! It's nice being able to go back to a classic!

I love that I can ask for help allied lords. They never help me. But I like asking for help, it is a cool feature.

I suppose evryone who knows this game don't need recomendation. If you by a chance didn't play this before you should 100% try it. Just keep in mind that the graphic is from 2002. It's not bad it is just old

I think when it comes to PC games especially from 20 years ago and beyond this would be my number 1 of all time defo top 5 with C&C AOE and few others whats there to not like build a castle gather resources build an army and conquer your enemies completed the crusader trail and extras several times over one of only a few games i constantly revisit over time you can always come back to it highly recommend.

Game from my childhood, works perfectly on modern systems. If you need a good RTS to play can't recommend this one highly enough.

A good RTS
After so many years, still a really great game. Don't miss the auto-trade mod, it saves your finger. Also some auto-clickers for making soldiers. It's always feels good to watch AI play. Definitely a great game and it may remain a great game for so long. I hope there were some map/mod sharing tools but I really didn't investigate much.
I have great nostalgia for this game. Great game for it time!
While aspects of the game have aged (the 3d animation for example), overall its a great time waster of a game and the re-playability is amazing. Great atmosphere, great soundtrack, great mechanics, its awesome

Stronghold Crusader is an amazing game and I absolutely love it. I use to play it as a kid all the time with my father and we had a blast. I never thought that I would find it again but I did on Steam and I was so excited to start playing it again. It is so fun and challenging at the same time!
CLASSIC RTS GAME EVER MADE IN HISTORY OF PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
I grew up playing this game, and I still love it to this day. It's a fantastic medieval strategy game that's still holding up to the expectation. Old but gold

WHAT A GAME. Even over 20 years later.
Stronghold Crusader is an absolute classic that still holds up today. My brothers and I will all login and have a match together at least once or twice a year and its always a blast. Highly recommend :)

I have played via disc for easily a few hundred hours before using steam. Highly recommend the game.
Love and hate the "Not enough wood 'mi-lord'" that you hear every few seconds early on.
The castle building can be good fun and it is always fun demolishing the ai in one go.
I prefer this over the SC2 as that devalues everything and makes it more of a chore balancing the eco. On this one you can just survive selling stone or something easy.
