[16.11.2016] PC Patch notes for patch 1.1.2 rev. 1319 (Patch #2)
Giant Machines 2017 experience is now available for two additional platforms: Linux and Mac OS X. We have also added some new, cool features.
1. New platforms:
1.a) Linux
- Tested on SteamOS GNU/Linux 2.0 "Brewmaster"
- Tested on Ubuntu 16.04
1.b) Mac OS X
- Tested on 10.12.1
- Game requires dedicated graphic card - it was tested on iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015) with AMD Radeon R9 M390 2048 MB
- If anyone will see performance issues we encourage to decrease Texture Quality in first place and then decrease Antialiasing multiplier
- We do not support Magic Mouse, because one of our machine needs pressing left and right buttons together, which is hard to support with that kind of hardware
- For Xbox 360 Controller support you need to download drivers which may be found here:
2. Features:
2.a) Custom Radio – support for *.ogg files on Linux / Mac / Windows with additional *.mp3 support on Windows; To make it work you need to create “RadioSongs” folder where game main executable file is located and then put your audio files in “RadioSongs” folder
2.b) Better sound / volume control – now it is divided into four categories: Master, Effects, Dialogue, Radio which may be controller separately

Sorry that you had to wait so long. Below you may find changes that come with this patch and should have been implemented in release version in the first place.
1. Options menu has additional functionality:
1.a) Graphics
- Player is now able to change various settings which should help with suiting GM17 experience to individual hardware
1.b) Controls
- Ability to change keys assignment when keyboard and mouse is used
- Ability to change buttons assignment when gamepad is used
- Supported controllers: Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Steam
- Experimentally we support wheel controller Logitech G29 Driving Force and only in Driver Mode (Operator Mode is blank user needs to define buttons by himself); Unfortunately Driving Force Shifter is not supported
- There is very high probability that other gamepad and wheel controllers will work too
2. Bug fixes:
2.a) Texture quality was set to highest no matter what graphic quality was chosen. This caused crash on many systems after finishing intro and entering main menu.

Игра Giant Machines 2017 даст Вам возможность взять под контроль семь промышленных, крупнейших в мире, машин которые существуют в мире не так давно. Благодаря им Вы войдете в мир гидравлических систем, гнутых труб и в мир запаха дизеля.В отличии от существующих игр в таком жанре, долгая кампания из 14 миссий создает целую историю и погружает игрока в нее сполна. Цель составляет отправление шаттла к Международной Космической Станции (МКС). Помимо всего этого Вам еще предстоит:
• разрушать склоны гор,
• перемещать тонны земли,
• обрезать металлические конструкции,
• раскапывание радиоактивных руд,
• транспортирование (гор, руд, машин...и даже космический корабль!)
Машины включают в себя так же:
• размеры точно воспроизведенные, как и в реальном мире,
• полностью разработан точный аналог с реальной работой ковшей и других частей,
• полная симуляция физических законов (без упрощения!).
Ваша кампания начнеться в различных 6 географических точках, в Грендландии, в Канаде, Вайоминг, Миссури и Флорида. Благодаря точному масштабированию всех машин и великолепной графике Вы полностью погрузитесь в игру. Кроме того, вы можете передвигаться в режимах, как и от первого лица, так и при помощи вида из кабины транспортного средства, что весомо увеличивает чувство погружения в эту атмосферу.
Альтернативный режим игры Attack Time. Он открывается после прохождения кампании, и состоит так же из отдельных небольших миссий. Награда за каждое завершенное задание из этого режима в течении указанного времени будет даваться в виде бронзы, серебра или золотых медалей, так же при записывании Вас в списке лучших (highscore).
Ну и на десерт Вас ждет Техническая Библиотека, которая включает в себя все машины. При помощи ее и всех машин, представленных в 3D виде Вы увеличите свои знания о самых больших в мире машин. Мы знакомим Вас в первую очередь с этими техническими параметрами и производительностью.
Машины которые доступны в игре Giant Machines 2017:
• Дробилка – гигант среди всех гигантов – машина, способна разрушать горы
• Гусеница – стандартная платформа, для транспортировки космических кораблей
• Таран – нужен для сноса устройств. Например, для вырезки стальных труб и массивных строительных лесов.
• Бульдозер – незаменимые машины для перевозки нескольких тонн снега и мелких предметов.
• Самосвал – отличная машина если Вам нужно освободить еженедельный выход из шахты.
Экскаватор – лучшая машина для транспортировки вертикально и горизонтально горных пород.
• Кран машинный – передвигать многотонные контейнеры, никогда не было так просто!

this game is a good laugh. "Start up the hydraulic excevator", yes but almost every excevator is hydraulic. Every machine has a mechanical handbrake with sounds recorded from a car, not realistic at all. And then you have hydraulic pressure building up so that you need to vent it. "highly" realistic that you just vent out oil on the ground. hauling 300 tonnes in a machine that is probably 100 tonnes on a regular road is not legal. and to add insult to injury, it feels like the rig weighs 10 kg since it jumps around all over the place. tracked vehicles turn on the wrong axis. i can go on but i have made my point. the sense of scale is there and thats fun, but it is nowhere near a realistic feel
I don't know if there are fixes but it was a bit unplayable for me. I don't even remember what it was. All i know is I uninstalled it really quick and put on ignore/hidden.
Interesting game. Simple and pretty structured, at first. Enough to keep your attention for a while, but does get repetitive to some degree. Once you've done the missions, I can see why some might lose interest.
Clunky as all hell. holy moly, and the camera bobbing is insane when walking, cant even turn it off.
Machines are cool? but damn the bobbing is annoying.

You can control and drive giant construction machines in the mission which some of the are a bit frustrating to master
