If you ever played the original Postal game from 1997, this isn't a bad remake or remaster in a way.
I recommend this game if you're a fan of the postal series.
However I would wait until this game goes on sale.
Burn! baby, burn!
I regret nothing.
Not a bad game but it keeps crashing so if you don't want to spend time trying to make it work i wouldn't recommend it.
Game seems great, but crashes on windows 11 systems currently. Hopefully this is fixed.
America simulator, very funny!!! 🤪
cool to see the original getting a redux so i checked it out , gameplay runs more better compared to the original but still stays unique as ist own game
A better game then the original but a worse experience in my opinion. Postal Redux focuses on making the gameplay more engaging and fun which adds to replay value but injured the vibe of the original and the feelings it inflicted. The music and art is all the same, but subtle changes here and there make it a less memorable experience. Plus they changed the ending which I fundamentally disagree with. If you want a decent twin stick shooter, get this. If you want to experience Postal 1, play the original, it's free.
Postal Redux is a really good remake of the original Postal despite losing some of the atmosphere from the original. The gameplay is much better with much less tanky enemies and the addition of Rampage mode. Although I do wish we could have Postal 1 where it has the look of the original and gameplay of Redux, this will suffice as it is damn good.
I loved playing this game last year but for some reason ever time I try to play it now it just crashes.
I don't know why this happens but it dose and it sucks :(
seems pretty good but if you shoot a guy with a shotgun the game crashes
i like how david morse isnt in this game
the earth is hungry
Blessed are the meek for they make easy targets.
10/10 American Mental Health Crisis Simulator.(if the game crashes after 60 seconds set to beta 4.01.)
this game is absolutley FUCKING great and i love how Not Important from Hatred is here one of my other fav cruel shooters
cocky want boing boing
I like the part where he kills people because hes a schizo
Got to live out my middle school fantasy. 10/10, take that bullies
10/17/1997 The Earth is hungry. Its heart throbs and demands cleansing. The Earth is also thirsty.
fun top down shooter, postal dude oiled up post credits scene included
dude go shoot, people die, boom. 10/10
returning to the darker time in the original.... This game is very nostalgic and very very fun but it has crashing issue, the game is keep crashing and crashing during gameplay if dev see this comment pls fix crashing issue. (don't mind my grammar because i suck)
Please release a fix so the game doesn't crash after 30 seconds on more recent hardware.
in the 1990's, they said games like this would create a generation of psychopaths.
It's difficult to play in a straight jacket.
Got this in a bundle awhile ago. Pretty good. Nice soundtrack.
Pretty fun, perfect duration.
It crashes alot, and that's it so i'm gonna go back to playing the original because it does not crash every 5 minutes
a damn good game one of the best top down shooters the story is kinda hidden but its great and a really good ending enjoyed it way more then i did postal 2 with this game having more of a story then postal 2 if only there was a way to keep the story of the postal redux dude going a postal redux 2 would be great. overall a great game but the ending of postal 1 was better it is changed in redux
Good game, just doesn't work anymore. Crashes a few minutes in on every possible version.
This game is so fun. Mass murder = fun. Did not like the ending, Postal 1's ending was 100x better.
this game is therapeutic in the most fucked up american way possible. a good game to play when real life violent thoughts become overwhelming. just kill people until you feel bad about yourself. it's basically ad-hoc post nut clarity
Good remake of Postal 1, of which the original release is still available on Steam and is free.
imo not as dark as the original but this game still gives me nightmares 10/10
shoot
Game crashed 3 times in the first 5 minutes of the first level.
I think the government is monitoring me after this one.
Postal 1 Lore:
A sane/insane man in an insane world that either fights for "survival" or bloodshed, depending on what difficulty you're playing. As you fight, you will inevitably kill innocent lives, their cries shushed by the waves of bullets, rockets, and flames unleashed by the Postal Dude. The ambient level sounds only make this insanity worse, as you hear creepy, droning ambience in the most peculiar of spots, some sensical like ammo pickups or a sentry, other times in the most random spots, especially in The Mine level. It all comes to ahead in the final level, where the Postal 1 Dude has become the last hostile and is admitted into a mental ward, where he'll spend the rest of his days until possibly another group of psychotic friends goes on a rampage throughout the same city, their only goal to kill the dude once and for all. Either that or he attempts to open fire on an elementary school, only to fail and be sent to the mental ward.
Postal 1 Gameplay:
i fell asleep while trying to write anything good about its gunplay
let me put it like this
if you've ever wanted to gun down hordes of innocent people
postal 2 is probably better :\
but this game's still not bad
i picked it up for like $1.50 when it was on sale
and i suggest you do as well
ye
Good game but definitely recommend playing postal 2 before this game
I am completely and mentally stable.
Oh look a civilian population centre!
Only my weapon understands me
so satisfying game! I loved the first postal, and this one was even better! Nothing but fun and joy, I highly recomend it to everyone who loves shooting innocent people;)
having this installed definitely lands you on an FBI watchlist but whatever shit bangs and im sure the NSA agent reading this loves the game too
Back in the 90s, when everything was first becoming "edgy", things like snot, shit, piss, fucking, pessimism, narcissism, depression, and dead baby jokes were stabbing America's puritanical heart and making the conservative media clutch their pearls, it took a VERY special something in order to stand out from all the muck and slime. Doom sent the white protestants running to God for some sort of answer for America's spiraling degeneracy. First grunge and now violence in my video games? What else could come along and further send the youth of America into the toilet? In 1997, Postal sludged its way out of its fetid sewers and, without warning, tracked its muck all over the collective unconsciousness. With every bullet wedging into each muscle fiber, each sinew, each brain wrinkle, the cracks of the psyche begins growing and growing. From little, barely perceptible specks, hardly worth noting into canyon wide gashes with root-like complexity. The POSTAL dude carved his way into the forefront of every teen and young adult's mind. Dude didn't even have that many lines in the original, a couple of off-color comments here and there, his tone of voice, nothing too crazy. What stuck with players, aside from the wanton mass murdering, is the intermissions, the atmosphere, the dingey, dirty, depraved nature of it all. After the rush of the slaughter has subside, the player is then greeted with Throbbing Gristle and Nurse with Wound soundscapes blasting in your ear. Every sour note screeches the Devil's Litany, every drum beat is a funeral blow. It is the soundtrack to the cursed verses of Baudelaire. On the screen is Postal Dude's manic scrawls and scratches. Fervent mad displays of psychosis and desperate pleas of sanity splatter themselves across the computer screen. Distorted screams and hushed voices repeat themselves into infinity, each second of it marches ever so closer to resembling an exorcism. A bedlam of distortion and nightmares. Then just like that, that millisecond of unsustainable madness disappears into dull nothing as Postal Dude racks another shell into his shotgun, each step of his boots onto the asphalt below is damnation in a beat. Unbeknownst to any civilian going about their daily goings-on, Hell has walked into town. The choir sings in .44, the epileptic machine gun are spasmatic rhythms. The crackling of burned flesh and ash white bones are polyphonic. The hollow hymns of the dying damned become the music to which the Earth decays to. Soaring high notes of the gored. Frenetic and traumatized trills of the auto-shotgun ring out into the urban landscape as you mow down cop after cop, swat after swat, man after man, flesh into nothing. Solemn. Hallucinatory. Outrage. Postal Dude plays some mean jams, man. The lads over at Running with Scissors sure know how to treat their baby with care and love. Sure, an argument can be made that a remake is unnecessary when the original is right there, some even fear that the remake will outmode the original, what with all the quality of life changes that a remake usually entails. Lemme tell yah, I played both, I enjoyed both. They should be treated as different games (the grime of the original is a bit better though). What you should expect from this is a good remake of a pretty good isometric shooter about killing your neighbors and fellow man in order to SAVE them from themselves. Simple as.
I am a bit disappointed that I got too mad and couldn't get all the achievements, maybe later in the future.
Fuck some of those hitboxes when I'm firing off the rockets though
hi great game i love, but i keep crashing all the time right now plz fix
Short, disturbing, fascinating. POSTAL Redux actually made the original Postal playable to me, I just think the OG is too janky. Gameplay has been heavily improved and it's much more fun. If you're familiar with POSTAL 2 and you want to dive deeper into Postal Dude's twisted psyche... This is the game for you. The Earth... Is hungry.
