love this game
Too much shit on the tracks stopping you dead in your tracks. Glitchy air transitions of some tracks. Some parts of tracks look like parts of the track are not part of the track and you get ported back to the real track but then I've already lost track of what's going on. Game is called grip but be having no feeling that I got any grip on either the track or any situation that presents itself. Slight nudge you will go into space. Feels like toy cars on mars not real big boy vehicles with low hanging t*******les. Rubber banding of the rubber wheels of the cars that bounce like rubber balls and fly like rubber ducks. The physics Don't follow the laws of physics more like moon racing than anything or cars on mars spittin bars driving to the hospital I got a case of the sars. Did I mention too many walls and rocks and cliffs and entire mountains in the way. I've seen real racing on tv they do not have that much stuff on their tracks in fact they try to minimize anything on the track cause it's dangerous to leave stuff out. I think the creators of this game are sadistic and know it's dangerous and put all that stuff there on purpose just so you have a hard time. It would almost count as an attempt at murder but they try to stage it like an accident. Also you're given many rockets and weapons and boosts making everything even more dangerous racing was dangerous enough as it was now add mario cart like weaponry exept you won't find any bananas. It can be casually fun with multiplayer online friends etc. but it just doesn't reach the heights it could be reaching cause it'll just teleport itself back.
Just good
Arcade racing that feels really good to play
Old school psx era style racer. Pretty fun and worth the time especially at sale price. Perfect on the steam deck on proton 7.
This game is not bad
ǝɯɐƃ ʇɐǝɹפ
VERY fun high octane combat racer. It's just a shame there is no community online. If we could get a competitive community together it would be outstandingly addictive.
Refunded this game because VR mode wasn't as fun and immersive as I thought it would be. But over all, this game is pretty fun and good, but I bought it for VR and my expectations were too high. Still a great game!
Overall the game was good for the price. The fast pace racing was a little difficult to manage. It reminded me of playing Kinetica on PS2. The different game modes and courses were fun. The few hiccups I ran into didn't detract from the enjoyment of the game.

It's like Blur (2010) if you were able to drive on the walls.
At the same time, the driving feels a bit different coming from Blur but as I only have about 30 minutes in the game, I believe i'll get used to it.
IM FUCKING GRIPPINGGGGGGGG GRAHHH I AM ADDERALL INCARNATE I AM FUCKING SPEEDDDDD REBORN!!!!!!!!!!!!
would refund but i got it for a few dollars so im not too worried but holy the optimisation is terrible im running a RTX 4070 i7 12700kf and the game still stutters all my drivers are up to date and im even running my oculus right into the GPU every other game i own that requires way more advanced hardware runs 60 fps plus
2 minute TLDR:
Grip is a ton of fun, for people who are fans of the old Rollcage series. While not perfectly polished, the little snags the game does have don't massively hold it back from being enjoyable alone or with friends.
This game is an absolute gem of a racer. This is what imagined games like Motorstorm where in the past.
The engine power of the "wild" in the settings of the game server "grip" shows that people very rarely take first place on tracks with cliffs, and strangers with real names without the suffix [bot] sometimes deceive real people, both on the keyboard and on top controllers. And this can be a crime by police service.
The campaign mode and the game music are excellent.
I have never seen cheats for this game, and it is difficult to imagine how to achieve victory with them.
Fun, fast, and frantic. Think WipEout (or Rollcage) with high speed, sticking to surfaces, and weapon pickups. Track quality is a little varied, and I found the difficulty similarly all over the place, but still had a fun time with this one. I have played more hours than this on other platforms, mostly in the campaign for the unlocks. Lots of vehicles and customization options to get your hands on.
Quite literally the greatest racing game ever made 10/10 saved my marriage
i love rollcage 3
Many thank! Redout and grip best racing games!
Combat Racing more like Combat Flying.
i played 2 races and feel like i'm about to vomit
silly
Awesome game to play with a group of friends
disappointing
Amazing game
This is Mario Kart, all grown up and painted over with a Halo aesthetic. This game is to racers what Marvel is to film... not the most elegant product out there, but the most high-octane, explosive fun I've ever had with a racing game. What it lacks in complexity, it makes up for in track difficulty and sheer speed. While more simulation-heavy racers have you ponder over how much air pressure to put in each individual tire and what kind of oil is in your engine, Grip is busy confronting you with how to handle tracks that flip sideways or upside down, and measuring your speed in Mach units. It also looks gorgeous, and I've never encountered a single crash, bug, or even graphical glitch. It's the most fun, adrenaline-pumping racer I've ever played.
As i played this much, Rollcage was one cool ps1 game. Then remaking this made me happy. Hardly ressembles F-Zero but it would look like this.
High Speed to Mach Speed, Apocalyptic future, Awesome visuals, Customization, solo campaign, Profile EXP progress (sadly capped at 50), weaponize races or maximize the speed and The nostalgia feeling this game still pretty hard for newcomers. A wild racing game that needs a growth in the community would add much more gameplay experience and challenges.
====Pros====
- racing game not like the others
- Nice creativity of visuals
- Challenging
- achievements not too hard to get
- Online Mulltiplayer
- VR ! (Don't own one but it's there.)
- Wheel (some preps needed) and controller supported
- Mach Speed
- Well made gem
- Some free DLCs
====Cons====
- Games Hard
- Circuits feels like labyrinth and others too short
- Customization just a bit limited ( access to only 1 side )
- Multiplayer game list pretty much empty most of the time ( gotta put life into, bots are available in online matchmaking
- Missing content polish
- DLCs ( Cause, like every other game that has dlcs, you still have to pay for cosmetics which can't be earn in game as unlockable items )
You can always wait for a WIRED sales to buy this.
Had fun but it's missing an active community in-game. As above, i do recommend the game for new feeling from racing game and nostalgia.
I'm not making much reviews.

MEOW!!
This is as good now as Rollcage was way back when.
Rollcage New Gen, but much more fun.....only wished they had 50 laps just like the parent...memories :D
spEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEd
and sound track
Fun game, some of the tracks are wildly frustrating though as well as having some real dickish "out of bounds" spots. Special shout-out to The Edge, the most frustrating race track I've ever encoutered in a racing game. Rainbow Road's got nothing on this game's sadism. I'd stick to single player over the campaign for sure, although unfortunately there's stuff to unlock in the campaign.
hell yeah
when i was kid i played RollCage2 and when i saw this game......... just i can tell if you are Fan of rollcage you guys ganna LOVE this.
Game starts as a fun profound combat racer and becomes a borderline gambling simulator real quick as you progress through the career, there are some RNG aspects you can handle with your skill but this game can be extremely frustrating in an unfair way without expecting many, MANY Jesus take the wheel moments during the gameplay. If there's a "neutral" review option this gotta directly get in that zone but with how often this goes on big sale eh it def worth 3 bucks
I used to play rollcage when I was a kid.
This is the only reason I bought this.
Must have for VR.
Fantastic vehicular combat racing game with a fair share of game modes to choose from with an excellent sense of speed. Absolutely worth checking out when it's on sale. Multiplayer is unfortunately quite dead.
I talk about this game a lot, the experience I have had playing the game and showing it to friends is better than plenty of drugs I have tried. I love this game and still play it often well over a year after I have first played it!
TL;DR:
GRIP tries to deliver fast-paced combat racing but stumbles with broken physics, inconsistent difficulty, and a poorly designed power-up system that ultimately detracts from the experience.

Review:
GRIP: Combat Racing sets itself up as a thrilling, chaotic combat racer with 11 campaign tiers, each with escalating challenges. A few standout moments, such as the dynamic satellite obstacle on Signal Static bring a sense of excitement, and some tracks—like SAAT Coast—feature genuinely impressive environmental design. However, these brief highlights are overshadowed by the game's mechanical issues.
The deeper you go into the campaign, the more the gameplay falls apart. By tier six, the difficulty curve becomes unpredictable, with "easy" races sometimes feeling disproportionately hard and "hard" races occasionally feeling simple. The real problem is the game's unreliable physics, which makes controlling your vehicle feel inconsistent. For instance, in Signal Static, there’s a section where you must drive up onto a roof. Falling off always results in a reset, but the game respawns you in a position that doesn’t give you enough momentum to recover and drive back up. This forces you to restart the entire race.
The power-up system compounds the issue. Like any combat racing game, there are power-ups scattered throughout the track, but the game mishandles their distribution and design. You can pick up any item at any point in the race, regardless of whether you’re in first or last place. This randomness, combined with the fact that you can’t see which power-up you’re about to collect (unlike in Blur, where power-ups are clearly visible), leads to frustrating moments where you might pick up something completely useless when you need it most. This system takes two incompatible elements from Blur and Mario Kart—getting any item regardless of your standing in the race and an inability to see the pickups—without incorporating the complementary systems that make them work in their original games. In Blur, visibility of power-ups allows for strategic planning, while Mario Kart balances item randomness by giving you better items if you’re further behind. GRIP tries but misses the mark by failing to create the necessary balance.
Track design is another area where the game struggles. Maps like Atlas Station beckon you toward power-ups but penalize you with out-of-bounds resets for attempting to collect them, and invisible walls on many tracks, such as Acrophobia, inconsistently block areas of the map, leading to moments where you unexpectedly fly off the course. These design flaws make the racing feel chaotic, but not in the fun, unpredictable way you might expect from a combat racer. Instead, it feels like you’re fighting the game’s design more than your opponents.
The soundtrack, consisting mostly of repetitive drum and bass tracks, wears thin quickly. While the music fits the game's tone, hearing the same style of track over and over makes it tedious. Console players have no option to change the soundtrack, which only exacerbates this issue. While the game does allow custom music on PC, this doesn’t excuse the lack of variety and depth in the original soundtrack. The music should enhance the experience, not make you wish you could turn it off.
Ultimately, GRIP feels like a game that’s trying to be something it’s not. While it boasts a few impressive visual environments, the mechanical issues and frustrating power-up system hold it back from being an enjoyable experience.

Recommendation:
With its inconsistent mechanics, unbalanced power-up system, and frustrating track designs, I can’t recommend GRIP—even to fans of combat racers.
This game has one of the worst vehicle physics I have experienced in a racing game. It destroys the whole experience and it's sad to see because it had potential. The vehicles are unique and cool. And the tracks are nice. I tortured myself to play it to complete achievements. I Didn't have fun because of the handling. The vehicles go too fast in my opinion to even have time to react to the environment. There are so many routes and narrow tunnels to take on the track. How the vehicles react to walls is not good. Because you go too fast you often drive into walls and you think they will catch you but the vehicle continues to drive on walls and throw you into the air which forces you to reset and you get passed by everyone. The AI is also so frustrating they constantly shoot at you which make the vehicle fly all over the place and you need to reset it. They are also way too good to keep up with. It's so frustrating to play. It's just luck if you win.
underrated af game, who wants to start a big advertising campaign for this game?
fun
gg
Pretty good rollcage inspired game
Frustrating game based on pure luck, that I really hate.
Also it has 15 trading cards.
