Punched out the main story on hard in just over an hour. I'm not normally a fan of twin-stick shooters OR bullet hells but Bleed 2 just does everything right that really gets the adrenaline going. Combine its turbo-paced gameplay and, by far, one of THE best soundtracks to ever grace my ears and you've got a total banger of a game. 10/10, would save the world from a psychonetic robot slinging maniac again.

Bosses are very good and there is a lot of them.

This kind of controls are difficult to master.

Gameplay is fast and solid

A massive improvement over Bleed 1, as well as one of the most satisfying 2D action titles I’ve had the pleasure of encountering. Bleed 2 really gets the basics right, offering snappy and stylish gameplay that makes you feel like a total boss whether you’re dodging tons of bullets with precise dashes in slo-mo, reflecting enemy attacks with kick-ass katana parries or melting a boss down in seconds using powerful, responsive weaponry.
At the same time, it’s a surprisingly in-depth game, having a huge amount of variation that allows to replay its 7 levels (plus some bonus modes) over and over again without getting stale. Each difficulty setting raises the bar noticeably and meaningfully, with not just speed and damage but almost every single boss pattern getting beefed up. Furthermore, you get 6 playable characters, and most of their movesets are unique enough to show the same set pieces in a completely different light.
The game also oozes with effortless, light-hearted charm thanks to its unobtrusive sense of humor, quality pixel art and simple yet well-presented story. There are basically only 4 characters with personalities here, but each of them is bound to leave you smiling at least once. Wryn is a chill, likeable, relatable gaming hero, Rival is perfect in his new role of a hesitant sidekick, Valentine works great as a smug villain who gets taken down a notch immediately, and Plucky is the very definition of adorable.
Whether you play it for 1 or 100 hours, this is a wonderful experience.
