● Characters are now in true 3D! With a bright art style and tightly focused gameplay, Ittle Dew 2 takes everything that was great with the original Ittle Dew and adds more exploration and content, vastly improved movement & combat, lightweight RPG elements such as upgradeable equipment, and randomized world events!

This title has been sneakily updated to Ittle Dew 2+ while you were sleeping. The plus sign means that it's a little bit better than before:
● Dream world added, a new area with five dungeons focusing on puzzles.
● Collectible cards added, which are found in the dream world dungeons.
● Added an Easy Mode where you take less damage. You can switch it on or off from the pause menu at any time.

Super fun! Gameplay is definitely different than the first one, but the tongue in cheek humor is still there.
Scratches a very specific "Zelda like adventure rpg style" itch I've had lately. I also really liked Blossom tales for that particular gaming itch, so if you played and enjoyed either of the blossom tale games you'll probably like this one too! It's got combat, puzzles, exploring, and is fairly forgiving with the checkpoints (could be better, but could also certainly be worse). I liked it quite a bit! It's a nice game for a casual gaming experience. I played it on my steamdeck just fine. I changed around a couple of the controls just to make it a bit easier to use for my particular playing style, but it played just fine for me.
Good game; I recommend it!
The switch to an open world full of secrets with the same style as the top down zelda games was good, and it remained engaging to the end, though it was soured by lackluster rewards. I don't mind the lore, but the lock picks were always a disappointing find.
Unlike the first, the focus of the second is on the combat rather than the puzzles, and it is really demanding on that regard. The combat heavily relies on I-frame rolls to avoid the majority of attacks, this is especially true for the bosses, which are a hit and roll type of fights rather than using a specific item to do damage or reveal weakness. I don't dislike this switch, but I wasn't in the mood for heavy combat game during release so this switch made me drop the game at that time. As for preference, I prefer the first, since I felt the gameplay was more creative and unique, compared to hit and roll found in the second, which is more replayable if but is less unique, especially in current year.
2+ update added to the game an additional content called the dream world, and an easy mode. I haven't tried the easy mode, but I believe it was made to allow people to play the game without the having to replay the harder bosses 20 times each. The dream world was the opposite to the entirety of the second game, where the emphasis was switched back to the puzzles, which I found to be very enjoyable and made me leave the game with a more positive note than I had previously.
A fun and cute puzzle game like the first one.
(Although fans of the first game should be warned that this game relies somewhat more heavily on combat and on timing-based puzzles than the first one)
Best classic zelda-like there is.
dark souls joke
I like experimental Sokoban games, and the puzzles in this one are solid, especially the secret dungeons and dream dungeons . Even once you know all the puzzle solutions, this game still has replay value. The combat can be tough and tackling the dungeons out of order is a fun challenge run, especially trying to do it in reverse order.
Even though I miss the hand-drawn style of the first Ittle Dew, you get the same level of charm through the writing in this game. The opening cinematic still makes me chuckle.
Loved the first one and finally got around to playing this sequel. I was super happy to see the quirkiness of the characters and dialogue was similar to the first throughout the game. Some of the puzzles had me stuck but eventually I'd figure them out. Overall a really fun game to play!
...except for the bosses.
TLDR: The game is a jarring mix of a kooky Zelda-style puzzle game with Shadow of Colossus-style bosses. FUN! ...until it's not.
The first couple of boss battles were okay, but as the game progressed I found myself loathing them as they became increasingly more frustrating and tedious. Even with well-timed rolls and hits I'd die repeatedly, having to restart the fight over and over again leading me to rage save and quit so I wouldn't throw my laptop across the room. Despite this I managed to get to the final boss in the final dungeon, where I realised I'll never finish the game.
To fight the big boss, you have to complete scene after scene after scene of seemingly endless mini puzzles and creature fights. Assuming you survive all of these, you'll eventually end up fighting the boss himself. All of this is fun and funny in theory, but the way it's put together makes it hella stressful and annoying. The best part? If you die at any point, you get to do ALL of that all over again. I had nearly beaten him when I died, and when I respawned at the beginning my mind tapped out.
I want to like this game but, as someone who went in expecting a light-hearted silly and fun puzzle adventure, those anger-inducing boss battles killed my enthusiasm for it. :(
awesome sauces
The puzzles were fun, the combat wasn't. Safety Jenny was best girl in the game.
