Good game except the people that yell for maps and factions when voting
this game is one of the best out there for pvp combat. i say one of the best because there is other games out there that have a simulated feeling just like squad. you have to learn how to play to enjoy the game give it time and learn the game. this isnt call of duty this is as real as it gets without going into actual combat and some situations can feel real.
Amazing game, but watch a few youtube videos and do the tutorial before playing the game since it's pretty complicated.
After 5 matches of running around aimlessly, shooting anything you see, you can easily get the hang of it. Just make sure to check your map before firing a rocket at vehicle.
good game, could use some more support as far as newer factions and maps; besides that the player base is solid and the amount of players is solid as well.
Its super fun, I would recommend it but most servers are apart of 'Community Banlist', once you are banned from one youre banned from all.

All around solid game with a 50/50 ratio of toxic to no non toxic individuals but that is what makes the game good.
This game is my euro truck sim. It is the perfect turn off your brain podcast game. You just walk around and occasionally engage in a shootout. Then you turn on your podcast again.

Most realistically try to survive under artillery fire, and get PTSD without leaving home
Great game, has plenty of wepons to choose from and is well rounded for many play styles. I would recomend for anyone that likes military shooters. It has lots of nations to play as.
Most of you will look at this game and see a Mil Sim Shooter. While it does have great firearm gun play via long range engagements over various different types of terrain, and awesome CQB moments in urban areas, trenches, or poppy fields...That's not the meat and potatoes of Squad. This game is really all about driving back and forth in various armored vehicles, light infantry, or logistics trucks and cuttin up in local game chat with your squad of completely incapable infantry men, all the while your squad leader listens and slowly dies inside. It's also a hide and seek game, that's right, the most ENJOYMENT you can have in this game, is not with a gun in your hand, but your trusty ole trench shovel. BZZZZTTTTT ****random radio chatter**. Find and dig down an enemy radio and be your SL's favorite disappointment for the match.
All in all Squad is good fun, however it can be slow at times, and I've heard the many "running simulator meme" but if your into Mil Sims, you know that comes with this genre so it shouldn't be to much of a shocker that some matches are faster and more cinema then others. Oh that's another thing too, make sure your particle effects stay on cinema, it's worth the frame drops.
TBH this is a good realistic combat game, sound effect are good, but when comes to armored warfare its very unrealistic

Squad is a good game. It is consistently the only game to make me duck in my chair and scream in fear. Community is good, gun play is alright, and the atmosphere is unmatched.
its a really fun game but the gun play is terrible, its hard to get the mussle near someone thats just 10 feet away because of the gun swaying where you look
Squad is a game that is entirely dependent on the people around you. Having a good Squad leader with excellent communication and teamwork skills in a squad can really make the experience intense, fun, and engaging. However, in the same light it is very easy for the game to be incredibly boring if you have a team of silent solo players. This game is defined by lower periods of activity, before suddenly bursting into high activity firefights which can last minutes. It's pretty fun though and I would pick this up if you are into Hell let loose.
The game could be fun but in my case its just the server list glitching and getting kicked for being German
Definite learning curve, playing solo wont be very fun. Meet new people, coordinate as a team and you will get the most out of this game. The best community servers are owned by a group called "7th"
was thinking about buying this game for a while but kept postponing it because of the price. Finally got it on sale and honestly its one of the best games i have bought. The main reason i love this game is that there is so many different ways to play this, so you don't get bored easily. I also love the teamwork aspect of it and its a decent mil sim game, the community is also stable and great, once you find a server that suits you. I think it has a good balance of being realistic and also still staying balanced and fun as a game.
The only problem with this game is the engine, the game is really CPU heavy and don't expect more than 100 FPS even on high end PCs, but it depends on the layer as well. Also get a mic and be prepared to communicate. Also be prepared for a single game to take up to 2 hours, especially if its invasion.
This game doesn’t just simulate combat; it simulates the feeling of being in combat. There are no hit markers, no killstreaks, and no second chances. Only the voice of your squad leader, the trust in your teammates (never trust a bluey), and the looming fear that the next step you take might be your last, because you get teamkilled by some kid in a f*cking tank.

Don’t get me wrong I love the core idea of the game and a lot of the mods are absolute bangers but the gameplay with all the weapon systems and vehicle mechanics are just way to floaty and janky. Essentially the recoil on the weapons in this are by far have the most punishing recoil in any game I’ve played ever played.
Literally only one reason not to buy this game and that is because the devs are so stupid that they put a max volume 5 minute unskippable video at the beginning of launch talking about how the game works. Like nobody plays games now days if they don't understand the game.
stuck on a trailer and a fucking black screen for 10 days in a row this game cant even load i played it literally last week with no issues and the next week its just constantly black and playing this shitty trailer atleast over 100 times.

Basically a cycle of being clueless, running behind some guy with a green blip over his head, getting shot, completely clueless from where. Play a few hundred hours, become the guy with green blip over his head, still get shot, at least from the audio you now the general direction you got shot from, still can't find the guy.
Decide to play vehicle related role, learn where to hit stuff, now basically hardwired to know where the ammo rack for every possible vehicle is located. New player joins squad "do you know where to shoot?" "no" "from the front just shoot the driver window or gun mantlet, from the side shoot over the third wheel from the rear"; new player completely overwhelmed.
Try flying the heli, eat shit, die.

> play a round for 1.5 hours
> eventually stuck on some defence flag
> 3 voice chats with 8 people simultaneously screaming shit

I joined some German server, forget Duolingo, I'm now fluent in Squad-German. My tinnitus is also definitely not service related.

The wait time "queue" is way to long. Even going to an empty server the queue time is to long. We buy games in order to play, not to look at a screen with fancy distractions.
Game is not worth $50.00. Not even $5.00 for a game that does not do what it says it does.
Squad is the ultimate teamwork orientated shooter. It's unparalleled, nothing else quite like it in the modern combat era, when you join a server with excellent communication, it just hits. Superb!
You can shoot guns like a 12 year old boy and sway your noodle arms crazy.
Also the game runs really bad with a lot of performance issues.
Otherwise, it's a great game.
This game used to be really fun. Probs my most favorite PvP shooter of all time. Ever since the ICO it is absolutely abysmal. Getting random weapon sway because you are being suppressed or not have enough stamina is the worse imaginable effect I have seen in any game ever. There are other ways to slow the game down or make suppression usefull and this is not it. I like being able to aim my gun where I want to and not have it move randomly on its own. It literally feels like someone is moving a second mouse on your PC randomly and you are trying to fight them. Also lets talk about PiP scopes. First and foremost going from 80 fps to 40 for simply ADS. A problem we never had before that exists now for no reason. Or maybe realism that no one cares. At least not in the cost of frames. On top of the fact that the scopes cover most of your screen. I can sit here and say real life this life that all day but at the end of the day the game feels horrible to play because of the gun play/firefights alone and I don't care what the arguement is. There is games that feel good to play and shoot in them like RoN, Arma 3, Ground Branch, even old Squad and then there is squad today which just feels horrible to play.
This game looks fun, until you get rolled by sweating tryhards, or solo rats who play this game like they are john mclaine.

In a game that requires your mic you'd assume you could use a mic just like any other game. My mic worked for years on this game and then it stopped randomly. Online it said i had to download a virtual audio cable to get it to work which his already stupid since its a mic that works on literally every other game. The virtual cable worked for about two days and now nothing I do makes the game recognize my headset. Hell let loose recognizes it tho.

I truly love this game but I really think it needs to improve , the only reason i put this review as "not recommended" is for my complains to be seen thus I DO RECOMMEND this game i think you should try it out. my complains are pretty much the lack of gore elements and bloodshed, absence of certain animations, and physics. and it bothers me, really.
this game is a REALISTIC shooter game, and it stands on that ground pretty well, but who wouldnt love to see bloody hands, uniforms, bloodshed here and there, or even dirty muddy guns and uniforms?
who wouldnt love seeing when a anti tank mine blows up, the tank be lifted upwards by the force, get visible damage on the sides? permanent hole on the ground maybe?
and certain animations we could benefit from, i can mention grabbing a fallen soldier body to safety, entering/dismounting a vehicle animation, mortar reloading animation
these things i believe would most definitely improve my experience, for sure there are more things we can have, i checked "Allow comments" box if you guys have more interesting ideas relating to this topic i would love to read it.
but here is something that MOST DEFINITELY needs to be added, a second voice option for "Call Medic" where the character doesnt yell and is more quiet call, would be great!, digging trenches is also good to have, imagine a whole squad shoveling to dig a trench lol

- Massive 50 vs. 50 battles that are as intense as a caffeine overdose.
- Authentic weapons and vehicles that make you feel like a true soldier.
- Picture-in-Picture scopes that make aiming feel like you're actually in the field.
Cons:
- Buggy updates that make you feel like you're beta testing a new game every week.
- Teamwork-dependent gameplay that can be a hit or miss - either you're in an epic squad or you're solo and frustrated.
- Steep learning curve that makes you wish there was a 'Squad for Dummies' guide.
[*]Server issues that can turn your game time into a waiting game.
In short, Squad is like a rollercoaster ride - thrilling highs, frustrating lows, and a wild ride in between!

I originally racked up nearly 500 hours before ICO. After ICO, they game was just not the same and was personally unplayable without modded servers.
I can happily say that the most recent patches have dialed things back nicely and brought back the old SQUAD that I know and love. There may still be some fine tuning of ICO to be done, but the overall scope and suppression changes are a welcome addition. Some people hate suppression, but it really does bring LMGs and open top light vehicles into play, whereas before they were irrelevant.
Definitely one of my favorite games that i own and the best milsim game ever to be made. Mechanics and strategies are very easy and once you learn how to play its pretty fun! I recommend gathering a few friends and the game experience will be even better. 10/10 game
Fantastic Milsim experience. Can stand around in a circle smoking cigarettes in main while waiting for a tank to spawn, only to be run over by an APC. 10/10
Very good team-player game, 11/10 if you're looking on how to handle people when in position of leadership (i.e. dismantling arguments that might compromise the objective, learning how to navigate people who are generally disagreeable and shattering their uncertainty to effectively lead different people to complete an objective).
Horrible game for you if you don't like teamwork, leadership, moments of slow paced/quiet moments in matches when defending objective or no mic.
Are you bored? Are you indecisive? Are you maybe not the sharpest tool in the shed? well do i have the game for you. Squad is the perfect game to hop into and numb that little head of yours. is it the greatest game of all time? No. Will people know what it is when you tell them about it ? NO. BUT WILL YOU WAKE UP ONE DAY AND REALIZE YOU KNOW MORE ABOUT THE M1A1 ABRAMS THAN YOUR OWN GODDAMN MOTHER? HELL YEAHHHHHHH. No but really if you don't know where life is headed and you just want to play videogames squad is the perfect game to just boot up and mess about while you figure out what you really want in life.

My entire squad told a helicopter pilot to do a barrel roll, in the end we got shot out of the sky and crashed then I got shouted at in foreign languages, I love this game
