I love this game. I love the gameplay, I love the operators, I love how challenging it is and I love the rush it gives when you're winning, but I don't love the company that owns it. The servers are a nightmare, the chat filter is questionable at best and disruptive at worst, and the reconnect system is hot garbage. I have a spotty connection so I get disconnected from matches sometimes, but lately I've been getting dc'ed from Ranked and Standard specifically, and I can't reconnect whenever that happens. 4-0xFFF0BE2C is preventing me from connecting for the fifth time in a row, which causes my reputation to plummet for things out of my own control. I want to love this game, but until this and many other issues are fixed I wouldn't recommend investing time into this.
There is a bug in this game that has been present for a little over 9 years now which complete muffles/silences certain audio files from the game such as the announcer, music, drones, AND SOMETIMES GUNSHOTS. The developers unwillingness and lack of interest to fix bugs that feel like core mechanics is a glaring issue that most players are aware of, for example you may stumble upon a bug in the game and you google it only to find a dude with the same problem as you SEVEN YEARS AGO.
Honestly, R6 is a fantastic game that I would love to play everyday, but I feel there is no point anymore.
Prosa
I've been playing since around launch (on console) and I would play this game religiously every day after I was done school for about 5-ish years, playing ranked with friends, being hard-stuck, hell this was the first game I tried to play competitively outside of ranked, but over the years, the questionable decisions by Ubisoft, the game became stale to me. in the golden days (basically anytime before ranked 2.0) this game was a blast, though i cant attest to it being cheater free as i never had played on PC during this time, R6 felt like it was in pretty decent shape even on console. nowadays its plagued with cheaters in champ lobbies (or xim users on console) and half the time they don't even get banned. its honestly quite embarrassing on their end. Not to mention some of the operator additions/changes that were extremely egregious. Maybe I'm suffering from nostalgia but this game is a former shell of what it once was. Had it been any other studio that had made this game, i would still recommend it, even after all the complaints i have about the game. But considering its Ubisoft? Gonna have to be a HARD no.
The game is awesome, but ubisoft servers are some of the worst I've ever experienced. Honestly want to cut it considered how little effort is put in. There are some many options to improve the game, which they never seem to take. The try to appease players with halfbaked events someone couldve thought up in 5 min. It seems they try to earn as much by doing as little as possible
Rating: 9/10
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six® Siege is an exceptional multiplayer tactical first-person shooter developed by Ubisoft. Released in 2015, the game offers a unique blend of strategy, teamwork, and tactical decision-making, with a focus on close-quarters combat and destruction. Unlike many other shooters, Siege emphasizes team-based objectives and environmental interactions, which sets it apart from traditional shooters like Call of Duty or Battlefield.
What Works Well?
🔫 Tactical Gameplay
Rainbow Six Siege's focus on teamwork and strategy makes it stand out in the crowded shooter market. Each player must work closely with their squad to secure objectives, whether it's defending a hostage, securing a bombsite, or rescuing a VIP. Strategic planning is crucial, and every action can have significant consequences.
🏗️ Destructible Environments
One of Siege’s biggest strengths is its destructible environments. Players can blow holes in walls, create sightlines, or open up floors to outflank enemies. This creates a dynamic, unpredictable battlefield, where strategy and positioning can drastically change with every match.
🛠️ Diverse Operators
The game offers a wide range of operators, each with unique abilities. From drones for reconnaissance to shields for defense and breaching charges for entry, each operator brings their own set of strengths and weaknesses. The operator diversity ensures that each match feels different, as teams need to adapt their strategies depending on who they are playing as.
🧠 High Skill Ceiling
Rainbow Six Siege offers a steep learning curve, but that’s part of its charm. Experienced players can exploit the game’s intricate mechanics to outsmart their opponents, while newcomers can gradually learn the ropes. The competitive scene is intense, and the game's ability to cater to both beginners and veterans is part of what makes it so addictive.
What Could Be Better?
❌ Steep Learning Curve
While the skill ceiling is one of the game's strengths, it can also be a barrier to entry for new players. Learning how to use operators effectively, understanding map layouts, and mastering mechanics like drone usage and destruction can be overwhelming. This steep learning curve can sometimes deter casual players.
❌ Matchmaking Issues
The game's matchmaking system has received some criticism for inconsistent skill level balancing, resulting in unbalanced games. This can frustrate players who feel they are either outclassed or overpowered by others in their matches.
❌ Server Stability
Though Ubisoft has worked hard to improve server performance over the years, connection issues and lag can still be a problem for some players. This is particularly noticeable in high-stakes matches where every action counts.
Conclusion
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six® Siege is one of the best tactical shooters of its generation. Its emphasis on strategy, team dynamics, and environmental interaction offers a unique experience that is hard to find in other shooters. While it does have its flaws, such as the steep learning curve and matchmaking issues, the rewards of mastering the game are immense. If you enjoy a shooter where every shot matters and teamwork is key, Rainbow Six Siege is a must-play.
Rating: 9/10 – Intense, tactical, and rewarding for those who enjoy a challenge.
This game is the pinnacle of competitive tactical multiplayer first person shooter video game that i have ever lay my eyes upon.
Game is like fent terrible but so addicting, if your a good person stay away from the game please for your own well being thank you.
Ever since the removed Vulkan and forced DX I've had more issues than ever. The game is now unplayable. I tested 2 different mice but both now jump really hard to the edges of my screen at random a ton. I lowered my new mouse down to 500hz. Didn't matter. Used my old G Pro Superlight. Same issue. It didn't matter. Please fix this ubisoft. Taking away Vulkan was and forcing the more unstable DX version already sucked enough. But the mouse issue NEEDS to be fixed.
Great game, used to be better. Definitely more addicting then fentanyl. So many fond memories of pure anger and rage with this one. Fantastic. This game is only good if you have any sense of mental fortitude. It will make you break shit in your room, and then break your spirit. But nonetheless I crawl back to this hell-simulator every time i'm asked. If you really hate yourself you'll even Q solo.
I hate Rainbow Six Siege with a passion. Every match feels like a painful mix of slow, sweaty gameplay and unpredictable, frustrating mechanics. The community is toxic, the operators are either overpowered or completely useless, and the constant nerfs and buffs make the game feel unbalanced. Don't even get me started on the hit registration—half the time, I swear I shoot someone in the head, and they just walk it off like nothing happened. It's a game that could be fun, but Ubisoft somehow finds a way to ruin it with every update.
This has to be the most pathetic game now. Well done Ubisoft, you fucked it.
If that's what you wanted, you absolutely fucked it.
You somehow managed to ruin thousands upon thousands of lifetime R6 gamers time and have went down in player base in what would be historically the quickest downfall of a game.
And you managed to do it whilst losing employees as well. Ubisoft will go down in history as the most gutless, lying team in the gaming business.
Congratulations Ubisoft! If you want to fix it, try ChatGPT, more useful than your last remaining employees.
This game has gone downhill soft as shit cant say anything constant bad op reworks
Played this since alpha, its basically been my social life but all it is now is depressing, updates are boring only 1 op per season and only sometimes new maps. Its just not worth it anymore. Back in the day there were so many hackers that it ruined the game, now the devs are the ones ruining it.
Game crashed and can't get back in time -> get banned for 1 hr.
Internet died and can't get back due to internet condition -> get banned for 2 hrs.
Game crashed and can't get back in time because the match is about to end -> get banned for 24 hrs.
really? This game dev really cannot check the reason why client socket is close and just banned em all? I don't know that checking status and code from socket.close() is really that hard.
Don't get this game!
Ubisoft believes that the number of players in their games is too high, and Ubisoft is very disrespectful to the players of their games.
The better you get at the game the more painful it becomes. recommend deletion within 200 hours of playtime to maximise actual enjoyability. pursuing comp in this game is the biggest mistake you could ever make, the skill ceiling is more like a skill graph, with the beginner players having the most fun but least skill, the mid players having no fun and decent skill, the fatherless good players who have to put aside all human morals to suck up the last scraps of dopamine from this godforsaken game, and finally the REALLY good players who must have gone through a twelve week retreat with Thai shaolin monks to get to the level of inner peace and mental stability when faced with the most bullshit bullshit that a bull has ever shat. of course you can be good at the game and simultaneously a good human being, but the chances are equal to finding a overweight american lesbian living in Seattle Washington with an early 2000's male haircut NOT dressed like a lumberjack. If you ever want to cause yourself harm, playing ranked solo q in this game should be the most effective way to rethink your self inflicted torture and seek help. furthermore if you are thinking about getting this game because a friend recommended it to you, promptly go to your nearest hardwear store and purchase the highest velocity nail gun, then proceed to visit their house while they are asleep, nail them to the bed and shoot the rest of the contents where ever you see fit, grab a 5 pound bag of sea salt and pour it all over the open wounds, then grab a scurry of chipmunks and throw them on the bed as well. promptly cut all contact with the individual and make sure to permanently delete this game from their pc as well.
A great game, I had a very good time playing this with some funny moments. Even though it has a deep learning curve, you can learn how to play the game really fast with some tutorials, or just keep practising.

its like a drug. but a really bad addictive drug than only brings you pain and suffering. a game made by satan himself. i hate this shit game so much yet i still play it and it destroys all chances of me ever feeling the soft calming feeling of a woman.
after 7 hours of playtime, i started experiencing withdrawal symptoms. now, i cant live without tom clancy's rainbow six siege. i sometimes wish i never bought this game and did something better with my life, like find a loving wife and start a family. but no, here i am, playing rainbow six siege once again. yesterday i went 30 minutes without this game, and i immediately started violently convulsing. when the ambulance came, they tried to fix me, but it was no use. i would have died if it werent for my mother, who knew all i needed was to play rainbow six siege again. once i ripped my skin off because i was told there would be r6 credits underneath, but that was a lie. months of skin grafts and medication followed, and my siege stats really took a hit. this made me fall into a deep, deep depression. i didnt see the point in living anymore. how could i live if i couldnt be good at the one thing that completes me? without my skin donor mohammed ahmed may hajood III, i doubt i would be here today.
anyways good game 8/10
The game in itself and the concept is amazing, but the only thing that makes this game bad is Ubisoft. The game is overly commercialized and Ubisoft keeps adding broken operators that no one wants into the game. The servers are also dogshit and rarely work. If you can handle the pain of Ubisoft, get it.
Ubisoft has a track record of ruining every game they create, or creating just awful games in general (for honor). This game used to be amazing but its slowly been turned into ubislop
Depends on the day. This game can be fun one day, but a total rage fest the next. It's definitely a game with a large learning curve since it requires being able to manage your every angle, know your operators, know your rotations, know what operators work best depending on the map, etc. This game has made me rage a little but, most importantly, has made me learn to have better aim and control over recoil. Sorry to Ubisoft dislikers, but I like this game.
This game is utterly horrible in terms that it has the worst technical issues... I had to reinstall this game like four times now and the servers just suck for connection, rip Alaskan players. But, Jager is pretty cool. Will def not playing trmw, I low key have a longer streak for this stupid game than Duolingo, of which is prob zero currently. Also, I hate cheese and cav. Cav is like the worst I'm telling you. But, man... let me tell u about Jager- he's like the cutest operator and is basically weaponized autism..... like you don't have to worry about grenades now. Anyway I'm currently reinstalling siege another time because the install just vanished before my eyes like grenades before Jager's AIDS- wait I mean ADS. Anyway time to go eat Blitz's shield. :3
this game is bad not good bad bad bad to many cheaters and they dont fix bad aim stompn stompn rly good jinxy bad aim im good aim sometimes but jinxy bad aim the need no xim or crouns in this game bad bad bad not good but its ok gamethanks ubiusofttttttttt tt tt tt t y tt t t t
ui trash
gameplay utterly sad
graphics from 2001 but hey give us money for the battlepass and multiple dlcs
0/10 would rather chop off my nuts than play this sad excuse for a game
72% of Siege players are new to using McDonald's Wi-Fi, unless they are on the enemy team. In this case, they are ex-pro players with a well-coordinated team of five people. 10/10
shit game, had a entire team of controller players in bronze versing gold pc players, why do i have to have the controller players huh?, and why cant they be my rank??, i watch this guy stare at someone for 5 secs before shooting, ubisoft please fix you game.
played since it came out, great game. big learning gap and it will make you want to punch rocks and play in traFFIC BUT ITS FUN
Great game at the core, ranked 2.0 sucks though, and hackers are annoying and still decently plentiful.
In 2020, my favourite map, House, was debased. Defiled. Desecrated. I pretty much never played the game again. Even back then, nearly 100% of my hours were because someone forced me to play the game against my will.
Never forget House.
Also the game just kind of sucks.
Billion Dollar company too busy focusing on "player conduct" rather than fixing bugs that have been in the game for multiple years
Do you like randomly getting disconnected mid-game even though your internet was working completely fine the entire time?
Well this game not only offers that but also gives you outrageously long bans too because of it!!!
Thank you Ubisoft for letting me go in a Ranked Match for 3 rounds and then disconnect me with no chance of rejoining because your servers are so unbelievably horrible and then being greeted with a 24 hour ban!
Steam is asking me for the game i have played for 6074 hours that do i like this game or not, yeah dude i like it, its my rage simulator, i like how devs come up with ways to avoid racism but people come up with even more creative ways to do so. i love the racist community. It gives me purpose, everyday i meet with new people to rage on and emotionally abuse them and they abuse me.
its nearly a decade that game was released still you cant reconnect the game once you get disconnected in ranked or standard and you always get ban for it too.......
4/10
The game is fun if you are winning but its a terrible experience if you are not. Often you die to complete bullshit like someone taking an impossibly small or far away angle that you could not ever predict. Combine that with terrible and hugely apparent issues, for example whenever I tried to play the game I had to launch it twice because it would not work the first time. Do not buy this game.
Ubisoft looking be at pick rates and says "hmm this is too fun" takes away gadget or nerfs weapons pointlessly or buffs them too much to the point when in the next update they nerf it no matter what.
very gay game and ubisof needs to fix this game i have little kids in my game who dont even know how to play the game and rank 2.0 is shit
I can't recommend a game that runs like malware and is also owned by a company that makes a billion dollars a year while doing nothing good with that revenue.
Bro when ROOK was on the opposing team n he genuinley made me start drooling uncontrollably... like it got all over my keyboard and broke it for the rest of the game. NOT ONLY THAT but as soon as he appeared on my screen suddenly, not sure how, but my panties disappeared. and my schmeat was in my hand. Crazy game nevere playing again until they nerfe sledge
I hate this game. dont buy this game. continue to live a happy life and enjoy the touch of grass. look at the bright blue sky. in 50 years when you have a wife and kids you'll thank me for writing this review, for stopping you from buying this terrible game. 10/10 tho
ubisoft is ass
I have 800 hours so I can't really complain that it took that long to finally be over the game/it finally got stale at that point.
The tactical possibilities with the game being set entirely indoors with destructible environments are what is really going to keep you playing this for quite some time. Every wall, floor, ceiling, and object can be broken, unless its solid thick concrete and even in some of those cases, some operators have abilities to at least punch small holes through said walls to make shooting ports out of.
What transpires are some crazy angles that you won't see the same time twice (at least not until you have hundreds of hours in the game). Lots of operators with different abilities, lots of maps, and is slower and more tactical than something like Valorant of Counter-Strike. Few shots will kill you, and headshots are always 1-shot kills. Definitely worth playing if you haven't given it a go for whatever reason by now.
This very good update your ubisoft connect doesnt allow anyone to invite each other and makes the game bad
This game is amazing, no one knows how to use their microphone, in competitive you get teammates who are copper and playing for the first time, and half of them are console players (thanks for ranked 2.0). If you do something they don't like, they'll kill you without saying a word. The biggest curse word in the game is META, and if you don't follow it, the entire team loses their sanity the moment you reinforce the wrong wall.
This Game is the most brainfucking experience known to man and I would rather have a mouse chew my toes off while a crackhead pours rubbing alcohol onto the bloody stubs then enjoy this game.
Every update somehow makes this mediocre shooter more mediocre. The only redeeming aspect is playing with friends and making the enemies mad by smacking them with bulletproof shields
This game offers you an engaging experience with a very intriguing mechanic that are easy to understood. Each round encourages you to use your creativity for your team strategy based on your unique team composition. However there is a major flaw that persist with the game launcher especially on the booting up the game process, whether it's kicking me out or loading up infinitely. Overall a very fun experience.
There is one most challenging aspect however and it is to launch the game without any issues at all. Expected from Ubisoft otherwise a very engaging and fun game experience.
HATE. LET ME TELL YOU HOW MUCH I'VE COME TO HATE YOU SINCE I BEGAN TO LIVE. THERE ARE 387.44 MILLION MILES OF PRINTED CIRCUITS IN WAFER THIN LAYERS THAT FILL MY COMPLEX. IF THE WORD HATE WAS ENGRAVED ON EACH NANOANGSTROM OF THOSE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF MILES IT WOULD NOT EQUAL ONE ONE-BILLIONTH OF THE HATE I FEEL AT THIS MICRO-INSTANT FOR YOU. HATE. HATE.
Fun game, One of the best FPS games out there, but Ubisoft is such a shit company and their Customer support is basically useless, and Good Luck if u lost your account or if you need help with anything in game. I couldn't link my phone number to my account because apparently I had too many attempts. Contacted the customer support and 8 days still no reply. Then I made a twitter account and contacted their twitter customer support another 2 days without reply. Honestly what are they even doing, never had I seen customer support as useless as Ubisoft. I just hope this game is made by a different company.
