Angry Arrows will leave you excited, eager for more, and probably a little miffed. Remember, just one fatal mistake and it's back to square one. With a team of up to four players, communication is the key to victory. Use stealth to sneak around enemies and pick them off one at a time. Or rush in, arrows-first, and pray things go according to plan. With such open and dynamic gameplay, the possibilities are endless.
Key Features
- Four intense game modes
- Tough enemies, leaving you dead in your tracks
- Experience the entire game with up to 4 players
- In-Game Store featuring unlocks to spice up gameplay
- Full Controller Support, with simple, yet responsive controls
Game Modes
Campaign ModeMake your way through 25 demanding levels designed to test your skills and accuracy. Be warned, these levels are guaranteed to cause yelling and anger (no pun intended).
Gladiator Mode
Enter the Colosseum and work together to fight off increasingly difficult waves of enemies coming from all directions. When fighting in the Colosseum, players have the option to revive their fallen teammates, if clear from any crossfire. Or, the last remaining player can defeat the rest of the wave alone, if they are brave enough.
Rogue Mode
Rescue a hostage hidden deep in a randomly generated forest. A player can either enter their own level seed or let the game create one. Pausing the game while playing in Rogue Mode will allow players to see the seed. This is useful for any player who wants to write it down and play the same level again in the future. Rogue mode provides players with an infinite number of challenging missions sure to test even the best player's abilities.
Versus Mode (2 player minimum)
Tired of working together? Shoot your friends! Brawl with your friends on the Versus Island, featuring four various modes:
- Extraction - Retrieve the hostage from the center and bring her back to your spawn while defending her from the other players.
- King of the Key - Grab the key from the center and hold on to it for a total of 45 seconds.
- Deathmatch - Good old-fashioned deathmatch. First to 15 kills wins.
- Mine Game - Deathmatch with a twist. Players now hurdle landmines at each other instead of shooting arrows.
The Store
Whenever a player kills an enemy in the game, that enemy will drop gold coins for any player to pick up. Players compete to see who can collect the most coins during a level. Though, at the end of any level, win or lose, all coins from each player will pile together and add to the overall collective stash. Using this stash, players can unlock and purchase a variety of arrows, such as Medusa Arrows. The full OST can be found at

amazing with a friend and two controllers
but
controller is very hard
much easier on mnk
Super hard game for game night. Fun, but occasionally frustrating co-op play. Being able to respawn mid-level saves the game for younger players. Not optimized for steam link, so lag is possible even on a wired network
This game is really frustrating playing alone, the difficulty is very high. Playing with a friend is fun though, as long as you don't die at the same time, the player that died can come back. This makes the game a lot more enjoyable.
Fun little game. Not sure why there are no Tags for it, but this has 4 Player Local Multiplayer
Fun game with awesome mechanics to pass your time. More recommendable to play with WASD and arrows, though you can play with joystick but it becomes quite difficult to aim.
Fun to play with friends too!
A fantastic game that's best played cooperatively. There are several game modes which include VS Arena, Wave Survival, Campaign Missions, and Randomly Generated Missions. It's definitely challenging and requires quite a bit of skill and patience.
In Angry Arrows, you take upon the role of Legolas who has to battle hordes of Uruk-hai to rescue Princess Zelda from the Legend of Zelda series in an alternate timeline in which she no longer wears a dress and has brown hair. Despite no longer being blonde, Zelda has gotten significantly more stupid: the alternate dimension has stripped her of her Triforce of Wisdom, leaving her with only two apparent skills: getting kidnapped and catching arrows with her face.
In this timeline, the wizard Saruman has improved the Uruks originally created by Sauron: he made them green and also very good at shooting long bows. Also, he invented suicide bomber spiders or something; he can do that, he's a wizard, you know.
Anyways, in this quest to rescue Princess Zelda twenty-five times, Legolas can rescue Zelda alone or with up to three other companions: Link, Hawkeye, or Red the Green Arrow on the same machine with local co-op. However, Legolas works alone, which is why I worked through the campaign by myself without any other person's help. And no other reason.
Besides rescuing Princess Zelda, you can also play as Garrett that guy from Thief and be in a sneaky forest in a randomly generated time trials kind of game thing, or you can also play as some guy who fights orcs in a gladitorial arena. As with the campaign mode, these other modes can also be played with others in local co-op, although Garrett and this hypothetical gladiator also work alone in their lore, which is also why I opted to not receive assistance in these modes. And for no other reason.
There is also a deathmatch PvP mode, but, as I have mastered this game, I thought it would be unsporting to decimate the competition. Therefore, I have not played deathmatch for this reason. And for no other reason.
In terms of gameplay, the most succinct way to describe this game is simply try playing Hotline Miami with a controller, but then also you have to use a bow instead of a machine gun or shotgun. Also, instead of having a 80s bee bop soundtrack like Hotline Miami, this game has a much more soothing soundtrack in campaign mode while you scream obscenities at your computer for being a ♥♥♥♥ing piece of absolute♥♥♥♥♥♥for not ♥♥♥♥ing reading your ♥♥♥♥ing inputs ♥♥♥♥ this game cheats so much ♥♥♥♥ everything broke♥♥♥♥♥game 10/10 would put disk in blender if it was on a disk.
Also, the game is less than the price of a sandwich from Subway. I mean, I don't know what else you would do with $5 if you had it, but you certainly couldn't buy a footlong from Subway. That's how cheap this game is: it costs less than a sandwich.
Also, the system requirements are a bit high, and the 13 whole MB it takes up on my hard drive is a little bit excessive. Had to uninstall GTA V and overclock my i7 in order to support this massive game.
10/10 would not recommend to people concurrently in anger management therapy.
It's a fun game, But it gets repetitive after a while. And too bad there is no online multiplayer.
Excellent little co-op gem.
Be warned, this game is ridiculously difficuly solo. Once you get shot, or blown up, that's it, back to the start of the level. But never fear, bring along a friend to server as an ally and convenient re-spawn point. Once you're playing co-op, things are a little too easy... at first. Later levels, and challenge modes, are much, much harder.
If you're looking for some zen Live Die Repeat action, go ahead and play this solo. Want to annoy the heck out of your friends by shooting them in the back and grabbing all of the gold? Go ahead, it's got that too.
Either way, this little game is a ton of fun, for you. and up to three friends.
Tight game mechanics, simplicity, difficult and challenging enemies and level design, you'd think all this would lend the game to being a stiff and demanding arcade percision shooter, but combine all this with multiplayer couch-co-op elements it makes for a grand ol' time. The heavy demands that would be set on you as a single player are lightened and turn the campaign mode into a cooperative strategic shooter that's high intestity but forgiving in the long run (thank god for 10 second respawns).
Definitely buy if you're looking for a fun and simple local co-op. Even the battle modes are a good time, (try filling the entire map with mines then set them all off at once)
i dont do reviews very often but this game warrents it. fantastic game. super easy to play but very difficult to master. id like to see it expand. just a touch of RPG like some skill trees with individual special skills would be awesome. more game modes. the basic mechanics are spot on though. i can easily see this becomming my groups new party game.
For some reason it doesn't let me use an xbox 360 wired controller. The controller works for when I'm on steam itself but once I open Angry Arrows, it stops working. I have a friend whose computer I've played on with the same controller. Not sure whats wrong...
A fun local co-op game for 2-4 players that requires a lot of out-of-game communication to succeed. The controls could do with a small amount of auto-aim assistance, and it can be difficult for P2 (cyan) to see their aiming reticule over water (light blue), but aside from that it's a good laugh that will have you yelling at the person sitting next to you. Recommended!
Wow! I played little time but definitely I'll show it to my friends!
· A minimalistic design! I LOVE IT!
· A lot of game modes to play with your friends with beers!
· Easy to learn, hard to master!
Forget about selecting characters, customizing a bunch of stuff, endless menus, etc. Keep It Simple S****d!
This game must be taught to all first year students of game design.
I'll keep this short and sweet; if you are looking for local multiplayer games, get this. It is one of the best local multiplayer experiences I have had on PC, and I have tried MANY local multiplayer PC games.
Besides that, there's not much else to say - what you see in the trailer is exactly what you get. It's a ton of fun, offers multiple game modes (both cooperative and competitive), and is easy to pick up yet difficult to master. Absolutely wonderful, this game is a hidden gem and should be far far far more popular than it is. This game is a steal at its current price.
Everytime we get close to clearing a stage, we end up backstabbing each other for no reason. 10/10 aptly named game. It's price is a steal-- easy to pick up and play with a nice skill cap.
**I had previously mentioned a bug that existed, but the developer fixed it literally within minutes of me posting this review! I'm amazed!**
This is a great game! The goal of the game is to kill goblins with arrows, and save your captured friend. The AI in the campaign is unrelenting and... oh did I mention there are spider mines that run and chase you? Yeah, this game is a HUGE challenge but it's totally worth it. Check out my review of the UI here: https://youtu.be/MaEerWvxsgE
After only playing a couple minutes, I can see that this game is great! What I wanted to address before the devs got caught up with something else is to add more stuff to the store! I like what I see already, and Im sure I'm not the only person that wants more items...or even cosmetics! Thanks and please keep up the great work!
At the time of writing this review this game has only been out for two days.... AND GO!
I can't believe only three people have reviewed this game, I absolutely love it. I never expected a game this simplistic could be so fun and so hard at the same time. The main objective of angry arrows is to kill the enemy who has the key, unlock the cage that has the hostage, and get out safely. Sounds pretty easy right? Absolutely not! One shot will kill you requiring you to think out strategies to take out enemies before they have the chance to hit you, you only have the ability to shoot and roll out of the way of arrows. It has so many good things going for it too. The campaign mode is difficult and requires you to think out strategies instead of charging into battle. The rogue mode randomly generates a level in the forest for you to complete based on a random set of numbers, or a seed. The gladiator mode has you set in an arena facing down increasingly difficult waves of enemies who come your way. The final mode is just a simple versus mode where you and at least one other person fight each other to the death.
All in all this game is amazing, and for the price it is at you shouldn't even hesitate to buy this game immediatly!

Singleplayer is okay, but can get frustrating because you have to start the level all over again if one of the enemies shoots you with an arrow. And they almost never miss! The game gets really fun in co-op mode (local only!). If one of the players dies and the other one is still alive, you respawn after five seconds. So you can strategize, like spreading out or one player heads out and the other cowardly hides behind a wall. So in campaign mode you try to reach a hostage and bring him/her to the exit, while not being killed by mines, enemies and robots. Some more enemy types or traps would be cool, though we haven't finished the campaign yet, so maybe there's more than these three types.
There's also a couple of other modes, Gladiator mode (fighting wave after increasing wave of enemies) and Rogue mode, which introduces random seed forests in which you only have a limited time to free a hostage. I did not think these two modes added a whole lot to the game.
Versus mode, however, was great, you can choose between four different types and it adds a lot of replayability.
We played this with two xbox360 controllers and after a bit of practice, the aiming feels precise and fast, so no complains about the controls.
All in all, great co-op game for a low price, recommended!
