Race Track Builder is a software design tool that has a simple, easy to use interface that allows you to build fantasy race tracks or use Google Maps data to create real-life terrain and roads.
For examples of the current features take a look at the TUTORIALS.

Free Upgrades
Additional functions that have already been added since the initial release:
- Expansion Packs - more textures, materials and objects have already been added since the initial release and more content is on its way.
- Objects - trees, signs, barriers, pit stands, cones, tyres, fences - all can now be added into your track.
- Complex Objects - parent-child relations create a more complex object with greater variety.
- String-Objects - Make long lines (strings) of objects and quickly move them about as your design evolves.
- Walls - edit the cross-section and customise the look of walls.
- Start/Pits/Timing Positions - Set Grid/Pit positions and Timing Gates that are exported to AC.
- Fast Undo/Redo.
- Windows 64 bit support.
- 16k & 8k textures in addition to lower resolutions already supported.
- Super fast GPU texture painting.
Additional functions will be added as free upgrades as they are developed. Many of the BTB functions will be integrated into the new interface and many entirely new features are planned as upgrades occur each month.
- More Terrain editing tools for greater control.
- Objects - more content and improved interface.
- String-Objects - more content and align-to-track tool.
- Intersections - pre-textured sections will make intersections a cinch.
- Expansion Packs (Xpacks) including additional textures, materials, objects, string-object and cross-sections definitions.
- ... and much more.
RTB exports to the Autodesk FBX format which can then be loaded into 3d modelling tools for export into games with a little more work. This opens up RTB to more game developers and this in turn will generate more RTB content (XPacks) for people to use across all types of games. In time export direct to game may be added for some titles but initially the focus is on supporting many titles.
The first title with specific support is Assetto Corsa with materials and shaders created to replicate the shading used. The landscape uses Multilayering shading with support for direct modification of the underlying texture. When targeting Assetto Corsa the export prepares the objects ready to be imported into the AC Editor, generating the Configuration file so that materials and textures are applied as they appearred in RTB.

So ill be straight....
"Does it work?" Yeah.
"Is it good?" Not really, fairly bare bones and pretty buggy, and unless you use xpacks or the google feature thing it can look kind of ugly too. (If you are a visuals person)
"It is up to date?" I bought this back in 2022, and since my purchase there has been 1 update, and that was 2023....so no, no it isn't. There is enough bugs and plenty of stuff that needs improved that the fact that there isn't more updates is a red flag.
"MOST IMPORTANTLY, IS IT WORTH?" Honestly. I couldn't care less about the graphics part (when not using the google maps thing or an Xpack), However the difficult to use interface coupled with the overall lack of just general updates makes it kind of a bust even for a reasonably priced software. So for 60 bucks, Absolutely not, im not trying to be mean but it just IS NOT WORTH THAT MUCH. If it was worth 5 bucks id say go for, it aint pretty and it aint easy, but it works and if you really take the time you can make some cool shit. But 60 bucks man???????? Just take that money somewhere else honestly.
This is excellent. If you want to make a track for Assetto Corsa, there is no easier way. It is not intuitive, you will need to watch tutorials on youtube to understand the features. The documentation is lacking.
But, once you get the hang of it..it isn't very difficult. For the price, it's fantastic.
There is a learning curve, but once you figure it out, it's brilliant. Don't get discouraged by the negative reviews.
If you take the time to learn this, you will be rewarded by having a track you made in a game you enjoy.
It is pretty cool.
Great application for those who who want to make race tracks anytime anywhere and it is relatively straight forward to use. Would recommend
Absolute rubbish, beyond the shadow of a doubt the worst software I have ever purchased. Developer's tutorials are out of date and make it impossible to secure a google key without which the 'game' is to all intents and purposes unworkable.
Not fit for purpose.
This software is used for fantasy tracks but never gets put into assetto due to shit exporters, 10/10
This is unfinished software, the developer now rambles about political topics on social media and doesn't update the software. It's not exactly cheap either. Avoid!
Hard to get the basics of at first but is is actually really fun/useful to use. However the price could go down a bit.
