the BEST game making software (for 2d games) it is UNBELIEVELEBLY easy to make little games. lab for 2 hours and your set, have fun!

I absolutely love this engine; it's incredibly user-friendly and versatile, allowing you to create a wide range of games. However, it does have its limitations. Often, I find myself needing to download additional extensions, which can be a bit frustrating. When I'm not downloading extensions, I often have to purchase or download examples just to understand how more advanced techniques can be implemented. It's not a deal-breaker, but it would be great if these features and resources were integrated into the default program.
Another major downside is the lack of updates. The engine has remained largely stagnant since I purchased it, which is quite disappointing, especially when compared to engines like Construct 3 that receive regular updates and improvements. This is my biggest gripe with it.
I truly hope the developers release a Clickteam Fusion 3 that supports both 2D and 3D development and addresses these limitations, but that seems unlikely at this point.
Despite my love for this engine, I would strongly recommend considering alternatives like GameMaker Studio or Construct 3, which are actively evolving and improving. It's a shame because this engine has so much potential, but it's just too static in its current state.
Best game dev software ive ever used
Don't get me wrong. ClickTeam Fusion is a good game-making tool that's so simple a dummy like me can make something for the fun of it. Not to mention this spawned the likes of Baba is You, all of those Sonic fangames and, oh yeah, FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S. If you wanna make a game with this tool, I WOULD recommend it...
...Just one problem: CF2.5 is WAY too expensive for what it is (DLC included like the 2.5+ addon that's the standard price of a regular video game and especiallythe Developer addon that's, oh i dunno THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS?), plus it's pretty outdated compared to engines like Godot, Unity or hell even its competitors Construct or GDevelop. Almost all of which are FREE, mind you.
I get that people mostly use this engine to make their silly lil' FNAF fangames since, y'know the first six fnaf games + FNAF World was made in it, but is it really worth wasting potentially hundreds of bucks on a simple, ancient game making tool? ...Probably, idk.
So TL;DR, it's a good, if VERY outdated game engine. It's just not worth wasting your life savings on it.
Likely infected with malware? I tried releasing my game on internet archive and they detected my game it has malware in it and even my windows defender thinks the games I made with Fusion is suspicious! Where did Steam get this copy of Clickteam Fusion from? I really like to know because I spent 2 thousand piso for this and being unable to share my own work to the world on the internet would make this software useless! Steam is supposed to be a reliable and trustworthy source for downloading PC software! I would never download from risky third party sites and this was the first time I see my windows defender detected something like this.
I want Steam to look at this software and scan it for themselves to see if theres anything wrong with it. Im not asking for a refund and only wanted to see if Steam is selling us a corrupt product or not. I like to believe its a false positive from Internet Archive since all other people are able to upload their games there without being removed and I don't understand why my copy of Fusion have this?
its a great software but can't get anyone to play my games because clickteam fusion stand alones are always detected as malware!
