I used to use razer axon for my wallpaper management. Something happened and I now use wallpaper engine. I like everything about wallpaper engine better, but the wallpaper previews are lacking severely. It's impossible to preview the wallpaper without first downloading it and then applying it. The preview it shows by default when you first click on the item shows a fraction of the actual wallpaper so you don't have a clear idea of what you're getting until you go through all those extra steps. I minor inconvenience, but I hope they improve it.
The user interface works well enough, but it's far from refined, it needs to be smoothed out, it does not look complete or streamlined. Functionality wise I really like this program. The search function is very good.
The user interface and clarity on how exactly to use all the features need to be refined quite a bit, though as far as getting the wallpapers you want working on the desktop, it's good. Right now this is my preferred wallpaper management tool.

its quite easy and simple to set up. nothing that's too special about it, just a good, reliable way to get some wall papers. the price is not too bad either, considering how many wall papers you have access too.

It's a 50/50 for me. I mean, it's good for showing off - but that's all that there is to it. Personally, I like it, but I feel kinda ripped off you know? Not worth the buy. Maybe buy it on sale if £4 is a lot to you. People only spend like 5 seconds looking at their desktop max.
Very good to use. Although, there are a few bugs and sometimes the Steam Workshop built in to the app just doesn't work, It is very streamlined and quite customisable. If you have £/$5 to spare and want to spice up your computer, this is definitely a brilliant option.
worth the money but if your pc is not great your pretty limited. Still worth the money and i suggest you should cop it.

This is a fantastic wallpaper application. Not only are majority of the wallpapers high quality, but there is a huge variety, ranging from anime, cars, animals, locations and even food. I 100% recommend this app if you are looking for high quality and animated wallpapers.

Ok, the program is great, the wallpapers are awesome.
But can't recommend it and if you have it installed I'll say see if is using gpu resources like crazy.
It's like it's mining cripto or something it's ridiculous.
I lowered the settings but still the same behavior, so I assume is a bug and not actually mining cripto...
If they fix the gpu usage I would reinstall.
W wallpapers but there should be a option to have it not live and locked on one frame for laptop users cuz it drains my battery
Best wallpaper engine around! Used it for well over 3 years and 0 problems. Runs good on low-end PCs and super customizeable
Works well except for live2d there is another software on steam thats like wallpaper engine but live2d only but it doesn't have nearly as many options available on the steam workshop. My only recommendation is don't use a wallpaper that eats up too many resources and don't make it switch wallpapers too often.
waste way too much space in ram but isn't too bad for what it does have but don't recommend it unless you really want it i guess also the community kinda sucks but hey at least i have the wonderful sonic backgrounds out of it
Works really well most of the time but i find it occasionally crashes and has to be force restarted

This one needs a Linux version. It kind of stagnated in pre Steam Deck era. Quite a shame as it used to be a nice software.
Recently got a new laptop, decided to download this app so I could download a wallpaper or two that I had saved on my custom built pc at home. Hell no. Every single one on the other computer is being downloaded on my computer and I either need to manually uninstall every single one or run out of space on my new laptop cause you guys can't figure it out. Not worth it.
This engine has become bloaty over the years with no optimization or improvements in sight
Better competitors fixes this while being free or cheaper
No Linux support
It's a great software. I have nothing to say beyond what many other reviewers have said.
BUT, as far as I could tell, there's no way to enforce age rating filtering. You can filter to show only all ages content, but it only takes a few clicks to be able to view adult only content.
If I figure out how to enforce this or if a feature allowing it is added, I'll change my review to positive, but as this would have impacted my decision to buy it, my review is negative.

Excelente software para customizar tu fondo de escritorio con imágenes animadas o videos, es sencillo de utilizar y muy cómodo, además incluye distintas configuraciones por si querés evitar problemas de rendimiento.
Cada wallpaper debe ser descargado desde la Workshop de Steam, y además de los fondos weeaboo +18 habituales, hay escritorios interactivos, minijuegos e incluso episodios enteros de series como Family Guy.
En mi caso tengo instalado el ED completo de Little Witch Academia.
¿En conclusión? Sorprende por su relación calidad-precio.

I mean, what else is there to say, a dynamic wallpaper on the desktop is so much more interesting than a static image, and the price is just right for this feature. If you want that extra pop, go for it.

This can basically run on a toaster. I'm very impressed with the compatibility. The quality and variety of videos are impressive as well.
Recent update deleted tons of my wallpapers, also the stability of this app has always been ass.. the more wallpapers u have makes it extremely unreliable and unstable... im constantly waiting for steam to respond and my downloads break all the time...only reason i have so much time in this program is for working out issues on it... just dont rely on this always working. if u have wallpapers important to you.. save them to ur computer cuz wallpaper engine certainly wont.
It's really cool and easy to use, but after installing it iv'e had several system crashes which weren't an issue before installing. That said i know other people that have had no issues whatsoever sooo... idk.
Been using it for about a year and I really like it, but recently I noticed that my pc would be really laggy, so after a hour of trying to figure out which is the program is doing that, I discovered that it's wallpaper engine. It's really weird, sometimes it works very smooth, other times it may lag everything. This has been going on for about a week, hopefully it will be fixed soon
Alot of great wallpapers. and alot of cool artists. absolutly worth the money.
Ugh. I havent browsed the workshop for over a good year and more than half the uploads are AI generated trash now. Another good imageboard infected by that ever spreading cancer. It doesnt even have it as a tag for people to be able to blacklist it. Very disappointing.

Great program for animated wallpapers, and a lot of the community made stuff is high quality!
This app is great. I like how some of the wallpapers come with music. There are so many wallpapers it makes it hard to pick. It also comes with a feature that lets it cycle through different wallpapers so you dont have to manually switch them.

It's animated wallpapers made by the community. Most of them are lewd/anime related, which should be expected if you have spent any time online. I don't know why you'd ever want audio playing on a wallpaper, but that's an option too that people can add for some reason.
This program is harder to remove than literal cancer and sucks up so many resources. It's not expensive but you will pay in other ways. I had to download third party software to fully uninstall it from my pc.
