The Software allows your pc to run some animated wallpapers and it does a pretty damn good job at it, it has quite a lot of customization options and you can set it to run automatically. When not necessary to run (your wallpaper being covered up) it will stop its animations and not hog all your pc's resources unnecesarily.

i use this WAY too much. but its a good software for cool wallpapers, and the dlc is pretty cool and easy to use

highly recommend! turns your desktop into a visual masterpiece, totally worth the price, but be warned: it’s a workout for your GPU. If your graphics card is already on life support, maybe skip this one.

After scrolling through hours and hours of hentai and anime women, I was able to find a wallpaper I could've easily gotten off of Twitter or Google. Needless to say I love wallpaper engine. 10/10

Very good quality app, lots of wallpaper options with the ability to fine tune to your liking. Even gives wallpapers for specific resolutions

Has a lot of great wallpaper options, with the ability to make your own. This is the software that all of the cool PC setups you see on youtube have. For 5 dollars its worth it.

This single-handedly turned my screen from a sad, lifeless rectangle into a mesmerizing portal of animated chaos. Want a chill, scenic landscape? Done. A cat vibing to lo-fi beats? Easy. A fully animated half naked 3D anime girl judging your life choices? You got it!

It runs smoother than my life and somehow uses less RAM than Chrome with one tab open. Absolute must-buy. 10/10 would replace my soul with a live wallpaper if I could.

Personal notes: I have no idea how or why this has achievements but here we are. Wallpaper engine itself is an amazing cheap application I have used since I bought my Pc to have cool and animated wallpapers. I can't recommend this enough for someone who wants to personalize their system background. Now achievement-wise, they are all quite easy, most require specific things but are super easy to do if you know what you are doing. Regardless of intent, I highly recommend Wallpaper engine to anyone.

Jeez, am I really writing a review for Wallpaper Engine? I got the itch this evening to write something and this is really the only thing that I can find that'll fill my time up while I wait for a download to finish. The review's more for the people that are just now looking into this amazing program anyway - those that perhaps have just finished building their first gaming PC and are exploring the universe of the Steam platform and all its perks just as I did five years ago when I first built mine.

Well, look no further - Wallpaper Engine is your one-stop shop for all your unique wallpaper needs for your PC. Gone are the boring and lifeless static wallpapers limited by your OS and here comes the wonderfully crafted wallpaper designs that the Steam community has designed just for you! They have static wallpapers that have unique effects, digital wallpapers that displays the time, dynamic wallpapers with mouse parallaxes that follow you as you drag it across the screen, and they even have wallpapers that can react to sounds (like music) and breathes with the beat!

Don't like what you see? Well, what's stopping you from creating your own works and showcasing it out to the rest of the community? But no, really, it's a wonderful program that's worth the $5 price tag. It's always a point of conversation to my friends and family members who stop by and see the animated wallpaper on the desktop and I think it just gives your PC battlestation a unique personal touch.

Its a really cool software, It has a lot of my favorite game genres that's what makes it good.
The problem I have is that the background sound of the wallpaper bugs out any other sound such as Spotify, Voice calls, or games.
This only happens when you alt-tab into a different place.

Really unique and different wallpapers , only reason to buy is for aesthetics and cool animations on wallpapers which it offers

Has a really extensive catalog powered by the community as well as a really good performance that doesn't impact your gaming or any other task you need to execute while being on the background.

My newly build PC was getting BSODs for no reason. I tried absolutely everything to solve this issue and it took me a very long time to discover it was caused by using this.

The most gritty realistic shooter on the market. It captivated me with its story, and the ending blew my mind. The gameplay is amazing, and really made me rethink playing video games. The multiplayer is some of the best I've seen in gaming, and the community is even better.

One of the best software's I have ever installed in my entire life hands down, nothing compares as far as wallpapers goes. And the animations stop when they're in the background to save system resources. This is seriously a life changing app.

Finally Made my wallpaper fun to look at and there are too many wallpapers for one person and the phone app is great on my samsung phone 5 Stars

Great utility, but only when it decides to work. Very unintuitive and confusing UX design and too many bugs, like wallpapers randomly being deselected. Have just gotten tired of double checking that this software works as intended when the UI is so awful.

Works pretty well. Can finally have the Matrix crawl on my screens. Handy for telling when its my computer getting bogged down instead of a network issue or something because the crawl will stutter. :P

Extremely good application for wallpapers, I see tons of people complaining about how bad it is but then when they install it they start riding its schmeat, lol. Never hate on something unless you try it out first!

Honestly, I’ve been Enjoying Wallpaper Engine for a while, The wallpapers are awesome, and there’s so much variety that it’s easy to find something that fits my vibe. The quality is on point, and it’s not bad on the wallet either.

The only tiny downside is that it does use a bit of CPU, but it’s really not a big deal for me. It hasn’t affected my performance at all. Other than that, I’m super happy with it. If you want to make your desktop look amazing, this is definitely worth checking out!

tricky puzzles, memorable characters, gorgeous music, and the experience of a lifetime. truly, Wallpaper Engine Team has outdone themselves with the mastery on display. we've yet to see a h3nta1 game of this caliber, and i doubt if we will ever see one again.

It's highly customizable in several ways, it has steam workshop integrated directly in the app making downloading and using different wallpapers very quick and easy, it works without steam running (downloading or changing wallpapers does require steam to run) and theres a lot of user uploaded content available in the workshop so theres something there for everyone.
If you want to spice up your desktop a bit, I would recommend checking out this one.
