Go towards the sky. Wingless though you may be, flightless this makes you not.
Link: The Unleashed Nexus is a HIGH - DIFFICULTY fast-paced action game which will challenge the player to stay in the air. “HAVEN” is a world governed by a “Nexus,” a stone that restricts people’s thoughts. Awakening at its lowest stratum, the player must bound over enemies, and glide and dash non-stop to find a way out of the world.
No complicated rules, only intuitive gameplay! Experience the thrill of using a variety of mechanics to speed your way to the goal. With no cut scenes and no dialogue, the game focuses solely on gameplay. Play through once to clear the game, then come back for time attack.

Excellent 3D Platformer, it is a little janky due to only being made by two people, but the good far outweighs the bad. It's actually probably my favorite in the genre currently. You can double jump, air dash, super jump, fast downward stomp and attack. You regain your double jump and air dash after you used them up by either bouncing on enemies, off of blue walls or landing on the ground, it reminds me of how you regain shots in Downwell and is just as fun. All of these mechanics are fully realized in the level design and it's an absolute blast as a result. Many levels are very vertically orientated and make good use of the space which was refreshing.
It has a tutorial that ensures you know everything you will need to know to beat the game by the end and the difficulty curve is pretty good at easing you into things. The later stages have very challenging but fair sections that make you want to retry them over and over and feel so good when you finally nail it. The bits where there is basically no ground whatsoever and it's just you, some enemies and blue jump walls are especially intense. Checkpoints are fairly generous allowing you to experiment without fear. The music is fantastic, so good I actually bought the OST. It uses alot of synths and such that have been used in other electronic music to death and should sound stale yet the composition is so good that it feels fresh and really moves me. That's the sign of a really good musician. The boss fight theme in level 2 is a personal favorite.
Now with all that said this game does have some problems. It doesn't allow you to rebind keys so you're stuck using AutoHotkey or JoyToKey if you want to customize them. The controls are set up well in a way that most PC gamers would set them up anyway though (WASD to move, space to jump, shift to air dash, left click for attack, right click to bounce off enemies or walls, ctrl for super jump). Graphics and settings are fairly limited. No mouse control in the menu but it works fine in game to move camera which is weird. Outside of technical stuff my main problem is that I wanted more levels because I was having so much fun. Aside from that the game is great and definitely worth the price along with the OST, I enjoyed this way more than any modern AAA title that came out recently. Endure the minor jank and you will find a game that has a ton of heart put into it.
I LOVE THIS GAME !
A true indie gem.
Such a shame not a lot of people know this game exist.
Fast paced 3D platformer, nice level design, good gameplay and fantastic soundtrack.
Well done SIG and HAIK cannot wait for the remake.
Yes there's a remake currently in development and it's looking amazing so far !

The controls are bad and you can't change them, the game being a platformer, it's therefore unplayable and totally unfun
Controls are often unresponsive, grey sphere "puzzles" not intuitive. Game starts in fullscreen, then goes straight to a corner of the screen when you open Config and try Windowed modes. Can't reconfig controls.
With all the bright colors and horrible contrasts, the story text just does not feel necessary, much like the story itself. If the game were more focused on the "fast-paced action" in the game (which is actually painfully slow), it could be a much better game.
Great concept, horrible execution.
Serious Diamond in the rough. The animations and level design can be a little wonky but its surpisingly decent.
Ever wished you could be an anime girl soaring through the skies? Well, here it is.
I love the visuals and not to mention the fantastic music. Set your mind free and just enjoy going fast in a beautiful constructed world.
It might be rough around the edges and not the most polished game but slowly you will get used to it and hopefully you will enjoy it as much as I have. Looking forward to the remake of this!
If you're looking for an enjoyable, relaxing, immersive platformer that requires precision and has a thumping soundtrack and clean, simple, "Japanese" esque graphics look no further. The animations of the main character (mostly the run animation) is a bit goofy looking but also fits the overall game created. The presentation of the game itself is pretty solid, however, with cool introductory bits for each level. Checkpoints are scattered throughout the level, but are sparse enough to balance both a challenge and avoid frustration from having to redo too lengthy of a section should you fall off. Numerous abilities beyond "just jumping" ie divebombing onto certain platforms to trigger other effects, as well as a midair kick to activate platforms round the game out from being too simplistic. Add to all of this the occassional "boss fight" and the game is an all-around pretty solid package.
If you see the aesthetics and gameplay and think you might be interested, it plays better than it looks, and offers a unique experience.
Try it if you like exciting action games.
story is not that good, but graphics make up for it
You know you suck when youre stuck at level one. \ (TnT) /
Highly recommended based on concept alone. Sure, it's short and controls don't always feel precise (specifically when bouncing on enemies), but with a great soundtrack and dreamscape ambience coupled with intriguing platforming elements that leave little margin for error, there doesn't exist a worthwhile 3D game quite like it: If nothing else, play it for the very last level of the game, which is exhilarating enough on its own to warrant a purchase at a discount price.
It is a little difficult for me to play it and my screen is not good.My fps is low. But the background music is very exciting!
Unfortunately I can't recommend the game - it has an awfully neat visual style and nice music, but some optimisation issues aside there just... seems to be something wrong with the controls. Primarily the double-jump functionality, which seems unable to remember whether or not you're already airborne. Oftentimes this leads to a jump from a platform performing the double jump immediately, leading you to fall short as you can't jump a second time. So far the first/tutorial level's been uncomplete-able due to this issue.
There's a lot that could be held against Link: The Unleashed Nexus. The menus are oddly difficult to navigate, the controls are sometimes janky (which makes a huge difference in a 3D platformer like this), the story is alright at best, the cartoonish art style of the protagonist looks weird against the more realistic backgrounds...in short, it's not the most polished experience you'll see.
But all of that can be forgiven by how awesome the whole thing feels. Ever wanted to be a girl who can jump, air dash, and platform with the best of them? You do now. A short experience, but a fun one and recommended as long as you're ready to tolerate some platforming frustration.
Oh, and: awesome soundtrack.
music jumps sometimes as does graphics I wonder if I have the right specs. good game though
I honestly thought this game would suck but holy fuck it's actually pretty fun 9/10 i used the controller
You WILL rage!! but it sucks you in somehow. 7/10
I realy like it!
At first, many problems prevented us playing comfortable.
Now the problems gone.
I like not only the comfort but also the worldview of this game.
The game itself is in depth and challenging but the UI needs work. Story being displayed in small white text in the middle of your screen in a timed game is a little annoying and the menu likes to exit full screen. If you can get past the UI issues, it is a wonderful and beautiful game.
Link: The Unleashed Nexus is a fast-paced action puzzle platformer made by Reminisce. You start off as an anime girl who seems trapped in some sort of void or chamber filled with ethereal beings which you can pass through. Afterwards, you jump into the actual puzzle platformer aspect of the game. There’s a very helpful tutorial that teaches you the basics of dashing, moving, flying, etc that should appeal to newcomers to this genre and game overall. Soon after the tutorial is finished, you get placed into the game where you have the freedom to dash, fly and move around the area to reach the goal piece which is a glowing statue of sorts that you have to hit in order to proceed to the next room or level. I’m going to list some pro’s and con’s this game has to offer and finish off my final thoughts on this game.
Pro’s
+Intuitive Gameplay let’s you make your own choices and act accordingly
+Japanese and English layout and subtitles
+Challenging to the point where I got stuck on room 2
+Fast Paced
+60 FPS
+High resolution settings
+No cutscenes or dialogue saves the developers a lot of money
+Full Controller Support (I personally use the Xbox One Controller)
+Only $10
Con’s
-Single Player makes it so there’s no interactivity with other players (not even leaderboards)
-Little sense of direction
-Decent Graphics (if you’re looking for Unreal Engine graphics, look elsewhere, they’re decent enough)
-Very few graphic settings. (Only “resolution”)
-Not an original concept (lot’s of other devs have made games like this; i.e Cloudbuilt)
-Hit detection for certain models slightly buggy
-ONLY Japanese and English layout and subtitles
-Puzzle layout’s feel familiar (copypasta)
-No cutscenes or dialogue makes the gameplay slightly stale
Honestly, this game is pretty decent for this dev studio’s first indie release and for being only $10. If you don’t mind the slightly repetitive levels, little sense of direction, no cutscenes or dialogue, the game offers a cool experience if you’re looking for something you can play for a little bit at a time and if you’re a fan of the genre, you should get it. I recommend it for the price tag and the fact that it’s a generally decent game for this studio’s first release.
