Fun game with intricate mechanics. Easy to get into / hard to master type beat

Almost a decade and it's still Early Access. The game developer appears to have all-but stopped development on the game. I wish Steam would start penalizing developers who don't deliver on promises to the customer. I feel like this game has never been a full game and most likely never will be.

If you like funny engineering, physics-based chaos, and staring at the patch notes in eternal hope, this is the game for you.
10/10 would wait another year for a new wedge to be added

This game is really fun, but at some point it gets boring because i have no friends to play with. Scrap mechanic is a survival/creative game based on farming and build unqie objects like cars, bikes, houses, etc. This game is endless and it all based on your creativity. Overall Scrap is a very good game. my rating is 8.6/10

This is a very fun game that allows you to test your creativity with your own creations though it can be difficult.
Playing multiplayer makes it even more fun as you can compete against your friends and even help them. his game is one of the more fun sandbox/survival games and is definitely recommended for players who like adventure games and creation.

playing this game it is fun and having over 100 hours it is a good game if you are intrested in the building mechanics .The survival mode being the mode i play the most it is a good game and can be sometimes enraging and boring .Playing with friends makes it more fun then ever.

A game that has creative ( Downloadable mods from the games steam workshop ) , challenges and survival that has no difficulty mode. Bots ( Mobs ) attack gets harder in groups. Using logic to create great machines from you'r creativity. ( If you'r PC can handle the creations. ) Bad new is the day and night cycle, You can respawn from a bed. But you cant skip the night. ( Only in modded Survival and the mod )

Great variety of content. The survival mode is splendid and formulated quite well in terms of the base game. (Though it might get stagnant in the late game due to the lack of content.)
The creative mode is the bread and butter of the game, building works like a charm and the way connections are made is simple enough to appeal to anyone yet complex enough to let people experiment.
My favorite experience so far was making transport lines across my survival save to safely traverse the landscape, both useful and fun !

So in this game you can build create and fight its like minecraft but with challenges i cant reall get past challenge six but other than that i give this game 15 potatoes out of 17 rabbits

This game is a blast! I totally recommended this game. While it hasn't updated in years, it still finds its way to keep you playing. :D

(!) Check if there were any major updates before buying, especailly for a full price. Consider that the game is in early acess since 2016.

Played the game couple years ago with a a friend and we had a good time.
But the "late game zone" (the lab or whatever) is surrounded by enemies that basically oneshot you, which feels like artificial way to lengthen the gameplay. But even with that, when we finally got inside, game got unplayably laggy and that's when we dropped it.

I don't regret 26 hours we spent in it, but I wouldn't have bought it if I noticed that the game is basically abandoned.

very creative yet simple and its good that you can get mods on workshop and very much worth the money

if you like minecraft but that game's low res graphics hurt your eyes like me it's a great alternative especially if you like the create mod for Minecraft though as of the moment I typed this review there are saddly no working gears mod for scrap mechanic could really use a set of armor for the character in survival but the crash lander mod seems to have beat the devs to that so I would suggest downloading a craftable armor mod if you plan on playing survival

Tons of fun, creating all kinds of contraptions to get different tasks done. Farm defenses and vehicles to roam and work with!

super fun and loads of game modes and once you are board of survival, create, and challenge mode there are also mods

this game is very fun and allows me to really get creative which is why this game would have to be my top favorite definitely number one i love this game even despite some annoying bugs here and there lol

Was really fun for a good few hours but by the time hell freezes over, they'll be almost ready to release Chapter 2. And we have all moved on. Im happy for what I got tho.

this game is very fun and gives you a chance for your dream builds to come to life. i´ve never laughed so much in any other game with my friends, but on an other note there are som small bugs but most of them are just funny bugs

The Game is Awesome!! Janky Physics but leads to often funny moments, Survival Mode is really fun, cant wait until Survival Chapter 2 is released (Hopefully this Year) Fun to mess around in Creative mode, Only thing i'd complain about that will hopefully be fixed in Chapter 2 is how much grinding there is, Getting like Component Kits which take awhile, maybe make them Available at the trader For 1 Blueberry Crate to get like 1 Component Kit, Otherwise Very fun Game cant Wait to See what Comes to the Game in the Future

It's complicated. I am a friend of two Scrap Mechanic legends, and they have taught me that playing Scrap Mechanic without mods is unethical. This game is for those who are creative and like to express their inner war. It's a fun game if you have a lot of time and a good computer, and for God's sake, find a community to join.

its a great game i will have to say its may have its up or downs but still its a great game recommand buying it

I would of been careful of this possibly dead game a few months ago, but since it seems like Axolot Games decided to get up from their feet and update this game, I would at least ask you to try this game as it's very fun with not only seeing others creations, but also from the fairly simple building/connection mechanics that let you create amazing creations.

Just get it at the best price you can now. Lag issue is fixed. Next update pending... but there are a ton of mods to hold you over till it arrives.

the recent update has made survival much more playable in terms of big creations. the only thing holding it back is that there is no client side and map generation.

Amazing game, the sophistication of the core mechanics are incredible for those who love boundless creativity! With the weld tool allows for easy modular construction or in some cases allows you to build structures that otherwise wouldn't be possible with similar mechanical games! The plethora of logic blocks gives smart techies the opportunity to create computers or complex systems. I really love this game, if you've got the coins, spend em, try it out. Worth every penny imo.

This game is great if you like vehicle construction games, but it does take quite a while between updates. this game does have a few quirks with how physics works, but is really good either way.

Survival mode is meh, but Creative mode is like Paint 3D for engineers.

This game is super fun, the only downside is I don't have the creativity or the skills to use the features in this game to their full potential

Came back after few years as the game it self is fun but its lacking something.. I remember before i quit the devs showed some stuff they want to add to the game, something like slime wheels. Slime wheels you ask? well when you make a cool car and the surface isnt 100% flat.. your car just slowly slips away like its made from butter in an hot pan... So slime wheels who you can activate seem like an amazing idea to easy fix that!

that bin few years ago... nothing changed, I saw they added sloped blocks to the game..and thought oh cool ill give it a try again and to see how the game is, nothing changed, they barely added shoite to the game in years and in the meantime dangling some cewl features they not adding in front your face..

Dont buy until they updated the game, you can check games on steam if they recently updated before you buy them on the right as it says something : recent updates, or something. I now days check all games that way before i buy them cuz lots are just abandoned by devs

Really good game, had it for a while now. The game play is based entirely on how you choose to play, and there aren't any real guidelines for you to follow. I've seen that as a turn-off for some people, but I personally think that it's a nice change of pace. Unfortunately, the devs haven't been very good at communicating about the next big update Chapter 2, but the flow of community made mods help to fill in the gap. Get it if you want something to take up your time on a rainy day, I personally don't regret buying it.
