"RAKE" is the first game in our series of games about paranormal phenomena.
You play as Gordon Davis, a scientist, a traveller and an explorer of unknown creatures and unusual events. Having learnt one more legends, Gordon travels through
the country in search of poltergeists,Bigfoot, Mothman and other American legends...exploring haunted houses, trekking through creepy bushy forests and scanning the sky and lakes to collect data about the mystical events...
So, you are in the place where the strange humanoid - Rake was most frequently seen. Most often he was seen at night. Therefore, you can use the cameras, motion sensors, night vision device for the strange phenomena detection. In the afternoon you are installing equipment in all areas of the forest. You can also mount the cameras on animals, if you manage to lure them into a trap. At nightfall your task is to watch on the monitor for events taking place in the forest. You can switch between the cameras. If you notice something unusual, you can go to a place where the camera has spotted the creature. Do not forget to take a rifle. So you have to hunt down a strange creature, and then kill it or trap it. However, be careful, it can disrupt your plans ... And while watching on the monitor, be aware, it could be closer than you think. The game is over, when you will it... or it kills you...

Not the greatest graphics but is is a almost 10 year old game. But amazing game play so that makes it way better than it already is.
I would highly recommend this game, despite it being an older game, I like it better that way because its more focused on being scary than realistic, I like it better that way.
The best game, it keeps you in constant suspense, just what I needed, I liked it and I recommend this game to all of you, if you want to be scared and other horror games don’t scare you, then try this game
This game is just silly fun, fun that can be had with a group of friends. This is for someone looking for a good laugh while in this somewhat scared state or a group of friends looking to watch the Rake eat a poor, helpless pig.

Rake is a game with an interesting premise that unfortunately doesn’t quite live up to its potential. While it has moments of tension and an eerie atmosphere, the overall experience is hampered by numerous flaws that make it difficult to fully enjoy.
The game’s setting is its strongest feature. The dark, foggy forest creates a genuinely creepy atmosphere, and the distant sounds and unsettling noises help build tension as you track the mysterious Rake. There’s a certain thrill in setting traps and waiting for the creature to appear, and when it finally does, the encounters can be intense.
However, the positives largely end there. Rake struggles significantly with its graphics and presentation. The visuals are outdated, with bland textures and stiff animations that detract from the immersion. The creature design, while somewhat creepy, lacks the polish needed to make it truly terrifying. The overall aesthetic feels more like an early 2000s game rather than a modern horror experience.
Gameplay is another area where Rake falls short. The controls are clunky and often unresponsive, making it difficult to navigate the environment or react quickly when the Rake appears. The AI of the creature is inconsistent, leading to encounters that feel more frustrating than challenging. At times, the Rake’s behavior seems random and unpredictable in a way that doesn’t add to the suspense but instead feels like the game is simply toying with you.
The game’s content is also quite limited. There’s not much to do beyond setting up traps, monitoring cameras, and hoping to catch the Rake. This repetitive gameplay loop quickly becomes monotonous, especially since there’s no real narrative or variety to keep things interesting. The lack of depth means that once you’ve played for a short while, you’ve seen most of what the game has to offer.
Moreover, Rake suffers from a lack of polish. Bugs and glitches can occasionally disrupt the experience, further diminishing the already shaky immersion. The game feels like it needed more development time to iron out these issues and add more content to justify its concept.
In summary, Rake is a game with a promising idea that unfortunately doesn’t deliver on many fronts. Its atmosphere and premise are intriguing, but the poor graphics, clunky controls, repetitive gameplay, and lack of polish make it a frustrating experience overall. If you’re a hardcore fan of indie horror and are willing to overlook its many flaws, you might find some brief moments of tension in Rake . However, most players will likely find it more frustrating than frightening.

Game has so much low budget jank that I can't help but put it down. Delete it from my account, actually. Was bad in 2015 and has only gotten worse with time. Better choices these days.
