Spatial orientation, logic and pure wit will be your weapons to go through the different cube shaped planetary systems. Six Sides of the World presents you a series of star systems to be explored. Each one is comprised by different puzzles that introduce new and more challenging mechanics. But most interesting feature of this is that these star systems can be navigated linearly, following a easier predetermined path; or you can make a detour if you are brave enough. One of the cooler games I've played. Need to make a second one.
Didn't enjoy it.
The camera movement is sluggish to respond and changes direction awkwardly, which is irritating because the whole game is about moving the camera around the puzzle to see what you need to do. There's little sense of immersion as you hop between tiny cube planets in a submarine (shouldn't it be a spaceship?) The puzzles themselves go from being so simple that they weren't really puzzles, to being convoluted.
I found the game exhausting, and felt that what I saw of the storyline was gibberish. I'm shocked that it's over 1 GB. Despite the high ratings, it felt to me like Steam Trading Card shovelware that's probably on SPECIAL PROMOTION half the time. For a game that wants to have the value of £4.29 I'd say the English is poor. I don't know why they're selling the soundtrack as there's barely anything to it.
A pleasant cute relaxing puzzle. Very cheap. The gameplay, as the game, is organically differentiating, which adds a good variety, which many puzzles lack.
Cool puzzle game with an interesting mechanic. The small challenges added during gameplay make it easy to learn but with the correct difficulty to enjoy the game. The only negative thing is that it could have more levels to play, but for the price (specially with discount) I can't complain. The achievements are really cool to complete.
Note: The "Space Pumpkins" achievement was made for the halloween. I ended the game without this achievement I got mad about that. Fortunatelly they added a beta branch with the event so you can make the achievement when you want. :)
This is a really cool puzzle game. The setting in space reminds me a bit of Super Mario Galaxy, especially with the multiple cubes in a level. I was surprised by how tough this game could get. Levels started off relatively easy, and slowly added more complex elements. In the end, I would definitely recommend trying this game.
Charming and cheap, with some cool gimmicks but nothing incredible. It can get frustrating towards the end, but it's not bad.
This is a great little puzzle game, and it's quite cheap as well. One word of caution for the achievement collectors among us: there is a time-limited achievement that is active for only one or two weeks around Halloween time.
Six Sides of the World features the following;
- Weak, pseudo-intellectual story about a puzzle god and the meaning of existence, written in poor english with grammatical and spelling errors abound.
- Frustrating, unnecessary action levels which involve more laser-dodging than puzzle solving and feel out of place in a game which is 95% pure puzzling.
- The most egregious example of gimbal lock I've ever experienced in a paid-for title.
- Surprisingly long load times.
- Amateurish and ugly UI.
[*]Terrible, imprecise joypad controls.
Fortunately, none of the above are enough to prevent me from recommending this game; this is a fun, spatial logic puzzler which gave me over 9 hours of playtime for the princely sum of 9p (bought for a deeeeeep discount during the 2016 Steam summer sale).
The game regularly sees discounts down to 79p/$0.99, and is good value at that price.
What is Six Sides of the World ?
A nice indie game with cool visuals, pretty cool soundtrack but the gameplay is where it lost me, I think the game does have a personality but its just too repetitive for its own good, it loses charm after a while, it felt a little long too with so many levels on a basic gameplay like this felt like it was overstaying its welcome, for people who like puzzle games they may like this one, its a well-made game after all I just felt that the core gameplay loop wasnt fun enough to justify the repetition for a full playthrough, I just didnt enjoy it but Im sure others will, this is more a subjective review than objective, its a cheap and nice looking game so if youre someone who is into puzzle games and plays them periodically, you may like it, but for me, I just didnt enjoy it and had to stop halfway through it because I got immensely bored but still think its a well-made game and I recommend it for indie/puzzle fans.
Amazing little puzzle game like I love them !
Pros :
• Smart puzzles and mechanisms
• Nice background music
• More than decent graphics for a puzzle game
• Kinda cheap price/time ratio
Neutral :
• The 'Haloween' achievement which can ONLY be obtained when it's Haloween (even if you change your system date) - don't know if it's fixed by now, bought in on Haloween sales and finished it today, so i'm not concerned about it.
• Some action parts (lasers) but in the end not that hard and not that common so it's OK. There are timers too, but they actually fit well in the puzzles mechanisms (you can always trigger the same timer if you were too slow the first time).
Cons :
• Too short in my opinion. There are less and less levels the more Worlds you unlock...so sad :/ Last world is only 1 single easy level (not even a level, just some kind of conclusion to the story)...
By adding just a few more levels they could have charged twice the price.

I found so much of this frustrating: more time in load screens than playing; having to redo an entire level after bumbling into death; the story text (also padding the time between levels/loading) not feeling like it's part of the same game you're playing. It just didn't fit me at all.
Never since English Country Tune have I seen a puzzle game explore such diverse puzzles with one single player interaction.
Six Sides of the World is an exciting puzzle game that might draw you in with its story. The music fit perfectly with each level and theme of the game and its quite challenging, if you up for it. There are new mechanics and obstacles awaiting for you as you continue further through the game. As you go through the game, you will discover more of the story of the ultimate space journey that you must go on. The graphics are stunning and the background of each level are gorgeous. The game might be kind of expensive, but I believe I got my money's worth with this awesome game!
Its actually a pretty decent ouzzle game. I got it in the summer sale 2016 when it was 9p, and its honestly a damn good puzzle game that got me thinking in some places. Probably not worth the nearly £6 for it, but if its on sale I'd say givve it a try.
This is a collection of spatial logic puzzles built on floating cubes. You trigger gates, lasers, and other pieces of the environment to collect a key crystal and get to the exit. Sounds simple, but because you are working on six separate surfaces and going back and forth between them, it gives your spatial awareness abilities a workout. The puzzles are for the most part fair and logical, with interesting twists introduced on a regular basis. I ultimately spent 8 hours playing through all the levels (some have multiple solutions, and you have to find each solution to unlock all the levels), and greatly enjoyed it. The story isn't much, but the puzzles themselves more than make up for it. There are a couple that have timing aspects (flooding, lasers that fry you), but even those are pretty fair, if occasionally frustrating. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for puzzles that deal with planning and forethought.
This is a good puzzle game, with a good balance and nice to play. The difficulty increases with time when new elements come to play, that makes this game interesting and engaging.
Story line is bad delivered - short text to read after every level. It's not a good reward for solving a puzzle. Short video clips or comics would do much better. And I believe that this game could be much more interesting, if you can play it using a first person view like in Portal. Good game: 7/10
A very well made puzzle game. Easy controls. Great sound and visuals. Mechanics of the game are easy to pick up. The first few levels are fairly easy, but the difficulty does go up fast. A logical brain and a little patience is a must. I'm currently about a third of the way through the game and some of the levels are really testing me, but I am enjoying the challenge. If you have a logical brain and like a mental challenge, I would recommend this game for you. Especially if it is in a Steam sale.
Very pleasant puzzle game with interesting gaming mechanisms and nice graphics. Pretty addictive. Got it for a few cents but would have actually agreed to pay more. You can't go wrong with that one.
Be warned: this game gets very hard very quickly. That's not a bad thing by itself but the way the difficulty increases is just to throw more things at you rather than require clever and interesting solutions.
The worst thing though is how you might not discover the solution to solving a puzzle until you've already failed it. So a lot of trial and error and a lot of backtracking. Overall it's just a lot of wasted time and it often feels more like work than fun. Above average graphics though.
Very nice Puzzle Game, except for Tau ceti (Because that solar system i just like a tutorial of course) the game is a real Mind Blowing, as soon as you open the second solar system the puzzles become hard and as long as you keep going they become even harder and that for me is the BEST.
Gonna try complete all 50 level and post on youtube, I hope you like it.
