not good
A great 2d platformer in the vein of the classic NES Ninja Gaiden games of old. This one is actually a remake of a modest looking but really fun XBLG title (which is actually included here as a bonus unlockable!)
The visuals are very well done and quite atractive despite sticking to use a limeted color palette mostly made up of black, white and red. The music is quite good as well with great tunes that set the current stage's given mood. Control wise is simple and responsive on gamepads as well as on keyboards, and you can even customize controls as you see fit.
And you'll definitely appreciate the game's simple controls and its responsiveness, for this game's challenge is definitely on the tough side, so checkpoints and unlimited lives are appreciated in order to see the game's simple but entertaining story to the end.
Speaking of the game's story, the game seems to pay an homage to the silly localization that the infamous Sega Genesis title Zero Wing got back in the day. Yup, the story is told in an intentionally silly english script that barely makes sense. Some may find it annoying, but others will definitely get a chuckle or two out of it.
All in all, this is one of the better retro styled 2d platformer games available on steam. An easy recomendation for sure, and hey, there is now a new updated version (Mute Crimson DX) that features lots of QOL updates should you want more of what this title offers!
