i know it may not seem like much at first but even after all these years i still think it has great potential.
Cool in theory, usually just devolves into everyone drawing walking dicks tho lmao
Here is another example of why the platform needs to change, more EA lies and garbage. In the land of STEAM EA abandonware cash-grab I’ve been burned about 90% of the time. I think we should just rename STEAM to abandonware Kickstarter actually. In that abyss of those forever EA BS dev’s talking about the future of the game and releasing a bugfix or an update once in a great while and promising a playable game that just sits in concept forever. It’s mostly killed the fun lifelong gaming experience for me to the point of going months or longer without even opening STEAM or gaming in general. I understand that STEAM cannot vet people’s intensions, I get that. But I feel like they’re using the platform to push as many games as possible in your “discovery queue” because EA increases the pool of “products” for them to pimp so it’s just more cash in their pocket without concern for the gamer. If you’re new to STEAM or EA, take it from someone who has lost a lot, stay away from EA. I think we should start a petition to add a filter to opt out of seeing EA titles in your queue or on STEAM home page ads. I think its killing gaming, it is for me.
It's with a heavy heart that I can't recommend this game. I don't regret my purchase; the concept was fun when I bought it years ago. The art was quirky, the game was fresh and different. However the developers couldn't get enough funding to finish the game so it died.
I wish the developers luck on their next iteration of the game and once that one is finished I'll consider buying that one.
Fantastic concept but yet another case of why early access is a bad idea. Abandoned after only a handful of patches. Cheers for taking my money and running guys
failure, disapointment, theft, lie, broken, unprofessional and incompetent are the words that come to mind.
ABANDONED GAME! DON'T BUY!
the game have been abandoned and the devs are planning to make a free to play version.
this is the ultimate betrayal for those who bought the game.
i put it in my scam category and let it rot there.
bought and refunded the game.
Sadly there isn't much to do ingame, and the devs seem to not care about this game anymore. The last update was last year and there hasn't been any communication between the devs and the community.
I really love the creative aspect of the game, the ability to create your own characters is fun and all, but sadly there isn't really much to do.
Plus the game is pretty buggy, it crashes alot and the graphics have a wierd dark taint to it, I doubt that this was a creative decision and rather faulty lighting effects. Overall the gameplay is clunky and not really worth getting into.
I'd have kept the game if the devs would still work on it, but sadly that doesn't seem to be the case.
I really love the idea behind this game, but sadly the execution isn't really good.
The game is really laggy on my pc which executes my ability to be able to play. I think the game is still in it's early stages though, and when it is finished i believe it's going to be a fantastic game! I do reccommend it if you have patience and love to draw and create!
I played this game back when it first came out, and found the game to be very, very empty and dull. Sure, the creative aspect of the game was all there, but that was it. I refunded it then to see if the game would come out to be better after some time of development.
Well, almost 2 years later, and it seems the devs have abandoned the game. It's been six month's since the last update, which was a "closed beta" that apparantely broke most core features of the game. Since then, the devs have made no contact with the community, and, as far as I can tell, haven't even made any progress with the game in the updates they have made.
After seeing what I would call the fall of this game, I would say I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this game to anyone, unless the devs reappear to actually fix the game.
Also, please note that the play time is not right for some reason. I played for about 4-6 hours, throughout a couple different "playthroughs".
Has a lot of potential, but there isn't much to do once you're done drawing your character. It would be cool to see different modes or even some variation on how different drawings affect their surroundings, since currently it really doesn't matter whether you draw a fully detailed monster or a blob. I'd also love to see some kind of custom music option, because some of the sounds can be repetitive. But I do really enjoy this game, and it looks like the developers really care for it, so I'm optimistic on where it goes.
it was a little fun and all but i think it needs more added to it, early access is no reason for such little content being that it is about to be year old. more of a 2.99 game not 10 bucks.
pros
it lets u make your own thing
amusing and very funny
cons
lack of things to do
lack of content for editing
a game with infinite potential.
There goes without saying. It is strongly influenced by minecraft and dont starve. But the special twist in it makes it unique.
My graphic tablets work perfectly in there too, which adds to the magic.
There is something you may not have seen in it as a very unique potential. It could be a good ''first step'' to graphic tablets for younger people or newcomers to the digital art scene. As a father of 4 kids and as an illustration and 3d modeling artist, I totally see this game becoming huge in my household, and a perfect way to break the ice with graphic tablets for my kids. They will enjoy it and who knows, maybe want to go further using it.
This game also has a potential to be a new hype in schools, just like minecraft did. Bring it to tablets and im pretty sure you will find a solid audience.
Keep on working hard :-)
Creative, fun game that you can design and make as you explore. You can set up a home out of blocks that you've drawn, or use the defualt ones and give it a nice, worn-down look to it. It may be a little confusing at first to learn, but it's so interesting you have fun while learning. It is certainly not a finished game, but it's really fun to mess around with as an early access one.
This was a great idea. A few years ago this was $20 when it just came out and I wanted to support it. I have no artistic skills so I was really relying on the workshop and maybe a few of my friends to get on board with me. That never happened.
The studio never took off. There are only half a dozen things on workshop years later. None of my friends ever got this. I hope one of the dev team comes back to give this a giant surge of life but I really doubt it.
Cute game but unless you want to create the entire world: every frame, monster, asset... and put up with the alpha version they left us with, I'd say pass. Even at the $1 price. BUT! To those few who are artists and like the idea of doing this, maybe on a stream which would be quite fun, go for it! AT this point it's a super niche target audience. I feel like they should have made this free though.
I give this project "Draw your game from scratch..." out of 10
This game is going places. While in its current state, there doesnt appear to be much, that doesnt mean the concept isent there. Its fun to design my own characters, and animate them, and I can see this game becoming very very fun to play in the near future.
Don't Starve.
Don't Starve.
Так что если вы хотите поддержать разработчиков оригинальной игры или любите рисовать и анимировать, то можете смело покупать эту игру. Если нет, то возможно стоит подождать.
I can only compare this to reading a book. You know how you make the image of the writers character up in your own mind while reading a book? And we each have our own different interpretation of that character visually? Well, this game is like that. It takes the story/sandbox and then makes you the creator of your characters.
Pros: Wonderfull game. Easy system to make monsters and loot. Beutiful design.
Cons: Very low FPS.
I sense much potential in this one, but its empty as fuck. What you're actually buying is probably the chance to buy it for a cheap price while its still empty. Game is buggy as my virus filled laptop and you start off without any knowledge of what to do and how to do it. There are little tips here and there and also a vague tutorial but thats about it. At the moment I'd rate it a 2/10 but its got the potential to be a 9/10.
Would I recommend it now as a game that can be played? Nope. Its Empty and Lonely. Although, If you're like me and like the concept of this game, go ahead and buy it! Support the game and give the devs some inspiration by showing them that people like their idea and want to see it to its fullest. Would I recommend it to people who are active in game development forums and want to help develop the game by simply buying it? Of Course I would!
Saw this and got sold directly as I love to draw! Thing is I couldn't even finish to paint a character.
And then tested in game and got stuck in my inventory menu directly. I love the theme of the game and the Idéa but right now it isn't playable so im actually quite surprised that it is in early access already.
Anyways it is good to support this game if they will work on with it and finish it because it is a unpolished Diamond.
But it is incredibly hard to play it as it is now. I hope they will work hard with it so I can enjoy play this and do my own creations! Cheers!
