The movement and the momentum of the driver feels very nice. You can really feel the speed increasing while leaning down and it's easy to jump off etc. In short it has very good controls and feels in general good.
I played the second Shred game first and loved it, so I decided to get this one. If you like the second one you'll most likely enjoy this one too. Once you get the hang of the controls in these games they're really fun to play. Each course has a set of five challenges you have to complete. There's two minor issues I have with this one though. The second game allows you to bunny hop with the bike but this one doesn't. Since this is a remastered version of the original Shred, it would have been nice if they added that feature in. Also, three of the achievements don't work. They would have been the easiest ones to get as they just require you to get certain high scores but they won't register. Other than that it's a great game!
Kind of a walmart mountain bike game for now but still really fun! You get some good laughs out of it
just a fun game for the price. could spend hours getting perfect scores on the courses they have
I had fun with the original game a while ago but this remaster seems to be a new game actually. If you tried it and did not like it, give it another go.
Such a good game! Should totally be 10-15 bucks. Love the physics but would also love a pure skills park for fooling around.
Yes there is better games for simulating downhill biking but from my experience the game has an good trick-list which includes the commonly done tricks seen on shows like Crankworx and has an system which requires you to finish the levels
to advance further into the game and the missions have tasks that to make an feeling of variety and isn't all about racing unlike the PS2 gem Downhill-domination. Here are some things to consider while playing the game is the controls and camera are a bit quirky yes even in both 1st and 3rd person perspective which the game has an control to switch between both instantly you'll also get some options upon boot-up of the game to select things like quality control for graphics and if you want full-screen or not and some resolution settings for the price they want for the game it's alright and an recommended if you're bored and want something to do for some fun.
It seems to be a fun game to play, but graphics are corrupted in my machine. Not all of them, only the floor textures. All other parts of the scenes look ok, but the floor shows noisy and makes it very uncomfortable to play. For the developer's reference: my graphics card is an Intel HD 620.
Also, the player gets below the floor when he turns over and the tutorial is a bit cumbersome.
If they fix all of that, it seems to be fun.
genuinely terrible, don't even play it as a joke
unless you're a masochist, in which case this will be GOTY
ok i kept my eye on this for a while . so i finally bought this. its a nice game when you get used to it on keyboard control
this has gotten to many negative rewievs in my eyes . fun to play . plenty of face plants . i cant see th issue some have .
i would rate this around 7/8 -10 for simple reason , its got playability if you learn how to control it properly .
overall .
has that one more go factor
stupid crashes
can be buggy
it cost less than 2 pints of stella :)

Has a mountain biker I highly recommend this. Its cool and fun. I did try the android free version on my phone to see how good or bad it was after reading both negative and positive reviews on here. But I have to say its a posiitve all the way for me.
Great game for the price! Once you've mastered the controls, there's hours of fun to be had. If you're an MTBer give it a go.
> Start game up
> Navigate to tutorial
> Spawn in air and die
> "Press Y to respawn"
> "Press RT to drive"
> Cant do shit
> really.jpg
Also no customization for video
This is a bad game! The grapics were poor, I was stuck in the ground most of my play time and I couldn't even make it out of the tutorial. I regret paying for this game.
I would recommend this game to any mountain bikers out there. If you dont like mountain biking irl then I would NOT suggest this game because you probably wouldnt understand alot of the mechanics. NOTE: If you disagree with this review dont say its not helpful because thats not how that rating system works.
Pros:
Feel (once you get used to the controls its really flowy)
Challenge
Level design
Mechanics (although there not true to real life)
Animations
Tricks ( Feels fucking awsome to through huge wips and do nac nacs :D)
Cons:
Art style
Graphics
Sound
Poor optimization (no lag it just makes my amd R9 200 run really hot)
Bugs
Controls (high learning curve mainly)
Take the game for what it is, a budget title created by a single indie developer. No it's not going to win any awards for graphical fidelity, yes there are going to be some physics bugs. Given the low price of the game I think these factors can be overlooked especially when you consider how fun the game can actually be, as another reviewer has pointed out it has that "one more go" mentality, you can attempt a short amount of time with the game, dive in and do a few runs quickly before you realise an hour has gone past.
The tracks themself have a good "flow" to them, providing you hit the right landings etc it's as if your line is an extension of one motion, hit them wrong and it's pretty unforgiving, there's lots of possibilities and replayability in just getting that "line" right on each trail.
I think the game complements the Trials series pretty well and its apparent that it provided some inspiration for the title, it's not as polished nor is there as much content but for the price again that can be forgiven.
I have no hesitation in recommending the game providing you purchase it with the right attitude, it's definitely far from a AAA title but as a fun time distraction it serves up quite well.
Looking forward to see what the developer brings to the table in the future.
One thing to keep in mind here is that this game is created by a single person not a team. and ported to PC by the same single person. so with that in mind this is above and beyond any other single person dev team ive ever seen. Most cant complete a game much less do so and then port it to another system.
The menu controls seem backwards and the game is def a mobile port as you can tell.
Experienceing a glitch once is not an issue to me as I dont have the patience of a 10 year old so all the little quirks of the game literally are nothing to ruin the experience by any means nor give me a reason to make an "I'm a cool kid this game is so broken" review.
If a finicky menu is enough to make you quit a game or you cant get thru the tutorial then maybe you need to reconsider if gaming is really for you.
Its no trials HD thats for sure. For a mobile port its a fine game but if you havent played trials then id go for that before trying this. Thisgame does highlight a need for more biking type games on PC. Mtn Biking and BMX games are lacking severely in all platforms of gaming but PC esp. I would really love to see a Downhill Mtn Biking or BMX game done extremely well someday but I doubt it will ever happen.
If you have the money to burn or see this in a bundle or a sale for cheap then try it out. If its your last 5$ in the world then wait for a better deal or just go eat a burger
On my very first tail whip, I held it all the way to the ground. Landed on my side, glitched into the ground, and the point meter continued to grow. It gave me a good laugh. I restarted my bike, but I couldn't do anything because I was still doing the tail whip...and my point meter was still climbing.
That is when I uninstalled the game. I've played free games like this that worked better.
My god this is terrible.
Abhorrent graphics.
Terrible controls.
Cant get past tutorial
Do not buy
Seems a bit glitchy, not an awesome steering control if you compare to the Trials games. Seems a bit pricey even on 10% off. I don't like the menus either.
Игры похожие на Shred! Remastered
