About the Game
Nomad is a sandbox survival game. Hunt, craft, kill and survive! Find food, drink, weapons, ammo and medical supplies - or craft them! Build a base to protect yourself but also remember to protect the base from raiding players.
Set years after an apocalypse, the world is over grown, broken and abandoned. Explore the massive 4km x 4km island to find gear and loot to aid in your adventures.
Remember, survival is key. Hunt for food and drink across the island, or simply kill others for it. Scavenge for medical items to heal broken bones and deep wounds.
Find weapons and ammo and hunt down other players. Be that bloodthirsty bandito, or be a hero helping others - it's entirely up to you.
Blood Moons will happen every 7 in-game days. Blood Moons are special as zombies have more health, spawn in greater numbers and can run faster. The Reaper will also spawn at Safe Zones which you can trade him Lost Souls for special in-game items. Gather Lost Souls by looting graves around the world.
Find, refuel and drive a range of vehicles to help traverse the island. Protect and store vehicles behind garage doors to keep them away from pesky raiders.
Create your own bases by chopping down trees for wood. First create your foundation and snap walls, windows, doorways and ceilings to it. Add a door and lock it. Place a workbench so that other players cannot build in the surrounding area. Make sure your workbench is hidden as other players can use it. Upgrade your wooden base to stone, metal and improved metal, by going out and mining with a pickaxe.
Craft Generators that can power your base to add mining drills, electric lights, hydroponics farming stations, oil pumps, water pumps and many more. Bring your base to life with the power of electricity.
Find and collect packet of seeds around the world then use them to make your very own farm. Farming brings any benefits so make sure they are well protected.
Safe Zone Quests bring a new level of PvE content to Nomad. Complete over 30 quests that will make you travel all across the island to discover history and lore.
We all have to sleep sometime. In Nomad, disconnected players will sleep on the floor so make sure you are in a safe and protected area when logging off.
Host your own server using the stand-a-lone server located at your Nomad Steam install directory. Set your own admins, make your own community.

I have played this game since I think it was just launched in the very first and early stages and I can definitely say that the game has changed a lot since then. This of the game as though Rust and Minecraft had a baby. A slightly shittier baby, but a baby none-the less.
So far, I feel like the game has improved a lot since then and I can definitely say that this is worth your 3 dollars getting the premium to support the devs. I really want to see this game succeed! Good luck devs!
Pros;
1. Super easy to understand game mechanics
2. Most are easy achievements to get
3. Nice atmosphere (Minecraft-y but not really)
4. Excellent guides in the menu to help you create your own personal multiplayer server to have fun with your friends in
5. Free (hehe)
Cons:
1. You spawn at random intervals around the map with hardly anything or anyone in sigh
2. If you log out of a server you are prone to be raided as you will appear as 'asleep' on the ground
3. Slightly difficult to find friends if youre in a normal server
This game is having a bug issue right now and it won't let me join any servers and I would like to play online with my friends but sadly I can't do so can you please fix this right away?
This Is my New Review on This Game. As Much as It Seems to Be a Mix Of Unturned And Rust, It Feels Nice to Just Kick back and Relax After Playing So Much of Both Games. Ive Enjoyed It Without Most Work Done, One thing that would Be Helpful is to Have a Tool Bar in the Hot Bar That Way You Dont Have to Go to Your Inv Everytime Just to Get a Melee In the Night. Make my Day for this Game, Maybe you Could Make Civ Nightvision to Be in Police Stations? Maybe Some Specs On guns Such as Lights and Lasers, Holos And Sights, More Players Will Enjoy The Game For What it Is. And there Is One Thing And One Thing Only. PLZ ADD FRIEND MARKERS. Its So Annoying To Not Know Where Your Friends Are With The Night Being So Damn Dark. These Are Me only Suggestions. I hope you look Into this Dev. :)
I Recommend This Game For Everyone Who Loves Rust Or Unturned
Edit: A 2020 review: Boy where do I begin this game went to hell, its more a clone now and it has removed a lot of what was original there, it is now just a knock off of a few games, somehow the AI that was decent is now gone, somehow..I don't know how that's possible but it happened, The building which wasn't the best at first, got good, then went to crap all-n-all this game was doing good had potential and now its just bad. I'm sad that this happened I wish all games were good, anyway I have changed my review to a negative, but I am going to keep my positive review in memoriam.
Original Positive Review: "It's a Knock off unturned!, It's a Knock off unturned!" no, simply no, the only thing that comes close to it is the graphics, which are similar, This game is a mix of rust and dayz, thats it, you have the mechanic's of rust (and a few other games) where your characters sleep instead of vanish when you log off, so you can wake up to a dead and looted character if you just log off in the middle of the forest, this game requires time to play (which, at the moment I dont have hence only 1.9 hrs), check every day or every other day, build your base, gather gear, own the server in time, allot of people don't seem to like that concept even though its in so many other highly rated games, The Building mechanics are decient, not a major seller, but its preety good once you learn how to use it (they've updated it since I last played, and I hear it got better), this game is not a pick up and play like Unturned, when you can build major bases in one day or a few hours, You have to spend time actually playing, learning and adventuring to get a base here, to survive here, the only reason I keep bringing Unturned up is simply because everyone else is trying to compare them, Nomad is more a grity survival wherein Unturned to me is more of a Goofy Survival which is why it is bright vibrant and in general funnier then Nomad, Nomad is like Dayz (and rust) where the Zombies aren't much a threat its the other players (rust has no zombies so theres that XD ), but when the zombies swarm it gets challanging, I bought Nomad back when you had to spend money on it to get and I still enjoy it and think it was worth the money, I also bought Unturned Gold simply because I think it was worth it, Both are in their own ways fun they honestly can't be put in the same line up, we can all share different opinions, which is fine, just don't trash the game because it seems like a unturned clone, the core of each game may be the same (Zombie Surival) but the way they do it is different.
TL;DR : Please have some self-respect and read, its only a paragraph.
WOAH, LAG IN A CAN!!!
I minimized this game to check my facebook and my entire computer starts dropping frames.... the game crashed and I was not able to use it.
They also need a tool for creating custom skins instead of GNU and MSpaint and it looks like a ghetto man's version of Unturned.

not worth it at all, the community is shit, they still have so much to work out, you place a workbench to claim land (be able to build and what not) and if someone breaks any part of your house to get in they can add themselves to the workbench and completely destroy your house and everything with ease because they now have build permissions. When the server resets it'll delete your inventory, back to the community... its complete shit, never met a group of bigger assholes and whiney twats in my life, would strongly recommend wasting your time playing a better game.
This is, my people. By far the worst game i've ever played. my god it was bad. Its just so dumb that this game creator wants to be like Nelson Saxton, but bro if you read this. Give up, it is never gonna be good if you start with this shit.
To the people who are reading this: Dont play this game, its so god damn bad. Its a mix between: Rust, Unturned and fucking Roblox. Dont play it its boring and broken like hell. I played this game for not that long. got mauled by a zombie on purpose because i wanted to see what happens when you die, I got launched in the fucking air. When you run you INSTANTLY breath like a someone who just did a 50 km marathon.
Come on man try harder to make games because this game is absolutely terrifying, ripped off, looks like a japenese bootleg and it is made way too quickly.
I do want to see this game when its better and not broken and look if its cool, but thats probably gonna take several years .
There is one thing i think is really funny. They have "premium/waste of money". and you can report bugs. The only bug in this game IS the game.
Well i hoped you liked my opinion about this game. I rate this game. Probably 1.7/10 because i hope it gets better over time. I consider this game not recommended, because its a ripoff of other games.
After a good 2-3hrs of playing on one server, I'd had a base up and running, collected a couple guns, worked up some blueprints from random barrels and such, and made a couple friends along the way. I've also noticed a couple improvements to be made to the game, but I'll get into those later.
Firstly, I know people are saying the game is a blatant copy of other indie games, for example Unturned, another free-to-play post-apocalyptic game. At first, I could see where they were coming from, considering the preview videos and pictures but after playing the game and getting used to the mechanics, I found this game was actually more in-depth and different in comparison to other games alike.
Bare in mind; game designed on the same genre are bound to be similar.
Now for the improvements I formentioned;
- A "favourite" button for servers.
- Voice chat (I'm sure it's already work in progress)
- A group system.
- More base customisation - tables, counters, more stuff to spice up the look of a base.
- Last but not least; singleplayer! A world where you can just make a base and not worry about being raided over night! One man versus the world. (This is my one pet pieve about most survival games.)
Good work with the game and keep it up.
Can honestly say, me and my two buddies played this game as a fucking joke at first. We usually play rust,day and shit like that with hundreads of hours so looking at this game it was kinda a joke, at first glance the game looks like a sack of shit unturned copy. But this game 100x better then unturned, honestly the only complaint i have about the game is there isn't enough players on the servers other then that the games fucking lit, played as a joke ended up wasting a shit load of time in the game genuinely enjoying it and having fun. Didn't expect to play this for more then 10 minutes for shits and giggles, very impressed with the gameplay and would love to see this game get updated and finished eventually. Keep up the good work devs and i would reccomend this game to anyone who enjoy survival base building pvp games
First of all, the crafting is really easy and nice, the way you can put objects like walls and etc is pretty good, I bought it for 0.82$ and I'm pretty happy about it, since it's nothing like Unturned and I will play it again for sure !
Go and play Unturned.
Edit : Okay my first review was when the game was on steam like 2 weeks. I started playing again just for the lolz and guess what!! The game is not so bad, New updates are pushed several times a month, the devs are active all the time and the gameplay is not so bad. It is way more fast paced than Unturned which i like. I was playing 11 hours straight and i have to tell you i love it!
A fairly simple yet enjoyable game for the price, the developer is hard working, and takes pride in what he does, and deffiently deserves the respect. :D
Nomad one of the best zombie survival games.
Don't judge a game by it's graphics, Nomad is the game that deliver to you what you expect from any survival game with zombies:
- You can build your base.
- You can make friends.
- You can put on a server, and close conection (singleplayer), or not (multiplayer).
- You can craft a bow and hunt animals.
- You really should care about thirst and hunger, otherwise you'll die.
- Achievements.
- Guns!
- You can plant food inside your house (tomato, potato, carrot, etc.).
- Make a group and hunt people, grief houses, steal, destroy, murder and else.
Build your fortress, conquer, or simply try to survive.
This is THE game you expect, don't waste time with others.
Honestly, I am very impressed with this game. It's a sort of Unturned meets DayZ, but with in-game server hosting. I am throughly impressed with how refined this game is, the map is a good size, maybe a little small, i would like to see more diverse biomes. The zombies themselves are difficult to fight, (I freaking hate stalkers) and it's so rewarding to shotgun 10 or so of the freaks down. A diverse amount of weapons, the bow being one of the best- for some reason. Ammo is a bitch to find, so you can make ammo. My only complaints are the bleeding mechanic, in that the only way to stop bleeding is with a bandage and you can't make bandages, except to farm people who just spawned. Travel is difficult, the only way to do so is to sprint- of which you have an unlimited amount of- but can still make traveling caravans have trouble trading. Vehicles would change this, and I'm not asking for tanks or APC's, something small, like a bicycle, quad, motorbike, maybe a golf cart at the most, but I don't want big cars driving around, running me over. Loot respawn, OH MY GOD I've starved to death so many times after me and my friends have looted everything, deer are hard to find, and farms aren't self sustaining- in that you plant the seeds, get one carrot or tomato but no seeds and no way to turn vegetables into seeds. Boats or rafts would be awesome. Maybe a partner system that would make it easier to find each other and maybe disable friendly fire on these partners. Otherwise the game is great, maybe a little bit overpriced, but fun nonetheless. I realize the game is early access, and not finished, I'm really looking forward to up-coming updates/patches, so I can continue to turn more Austrailians into my personal slaves
(Edit) Better farming- crafting 2 seeds from one vegetable/culinary vegetable (tomato is a berry) thanks devs for the update BTW
Ive had a little time to mess around and get a server up and the game, despite being in its early stages, has potential. The Developer is Active and very helpful which gives me hope for the games future. The game itself gives off the feeling of Rust meets Unturned. The crafting system is easier to navigate like Rusts which is a good thing when compared to Unturned. The only thing i feel that the game needs implemented is a vehicle of sorts. Weapons feel good and building a quick base is no problem and rather comforting. I think in time this game will give us what we want from it as long as we dont exceed our own expectations.
i think that the game could be great, unfortunately for me i have lag issues.
do not take the minimum and required setting for granted. i got a amd quad core 2.30ghz and 6gb of rams and i had to put all setting to low and still got lag. pls update the requirement for the future buyers that is misleading.

This game has improved a lot since it was a paid game, The crafting, building, scavenging and just plain survival aspects of the game are fun, the game has potential. At the moment all I can say is bad about the game is the long loading screens and that there is no way to travel around the map apart from walking. I would give this game a rating of 6/10
This is quite fleshed out as an early access game. However, it is heading the Unturned direction. if this is going to be a paid game, its has to have unique things.
A lot of things need to be fixed too.
Examples:
-(Possibly done on purpose) no melee when walking
-graphics settings resetting when just joined a server
-(Possibly done on purpose) the small delay when picking up an item
-rare lag spikes when players leave/join
Things that can be changed/added (in my opinion):
- player icon on the map changed to a red arrow
- new items (obviously)
- instructions (i still dont know how to use the work bench)
- larger map
- updated inventory
Out of all the things i mentioned that need to be fixed, I think the game has potential and if it can turn away from the Unturned direction and turn itself into a unique game.
Game seems good for the time i played it.
The only problems i have so far are:
-There are very little zombies, i only saw one while i played.
-There is very little loot
-Not many players ( I know you can't force people to play but it would be better with more players )
I can only confirm what many have already said: This is a clone of the game "unturned".
"Unturned" is not only better but also FREE!
Within the first few minutes (<30) the local server crashed and I had to start anew. I was just going through a village no combat, nothing.
For a 9$ game that is pathetic!
