Efina is a very special young girl. She's curious. She's optimistic. She has the power to make lies manifest themselves as physical beings, which then become her own sustenance.
She's also a dragon.

LiEat is the classic story of a vagabond traversing a strange and mysterious world together with a dragon protégé, buying and selling secrets, while also attempting to uncover the truth about themselves. Along the way, they'll discover a web of arcane mysteries, meet a variety of colorful characters (including other dragons), and shed light on events of the past which ultimately served to lead them to where―and who―they are today.
The epic tale of LiEat is composed of three fantastical, bite-sized chapters:

Chapter I introduces Efina and her caretaker―the multinominal Leo―as they happen upon a small town with a big secret. As Efina starts to perceive and understand the world around her in a new and different light, the pair finds that the legends of beings which haunt the night are more than just tales told to frighten children...

Chapter II finds Efina and Hal (formerly Leo) investigating rumors of something magical and possibly dangerous inside a resort casino. Posing as a newly-assigned guard, Hal arranges room and board for himself and Efina―however, they quickly come to the jarring realization that a roof over one’s head and a bed to sleep in do not a safe haven make.

The final chapter of LiEat brings Efina and the newly rechristened Sid (Leo/Hal) to a lavish mansion to foil the plans of a master thief. However, in the wake of the great robbery, Sid discovers that the heist itself was only the tip of the iceberg, and Efina watches as his past―As well as his lies―finally catch up to them both.
For the first time ever, this beloved trilogy that has long been treasured by JRPG enthusiasts can now be enjoyed in its entirety on Steam in one single comprehensive package! pretty cute storytelling RPG!! mini battles are easy to go through and boss battles arent the hardest, if you prefer more story-rich than fighting would recommend.
Super cute game! It’s a charming little RPG with three story arcs. None of them go super in-depth, but they’re entertaining enough to keep you playing. I loved the character designs, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that some cutscenes include actual animation!
I was hesitant to play at first because I’m not great at battles, but the combat here isn’t too difficult. If you’re looking for something focused on deep combat or complex RPG mechanics, this might not be the best fit. Still, it’s inexpensive, so I think it’s well worth trying out.
Phenomenal storytelling, likable characters and wonderful vibes all jammed in a simple RPG Maker game. Don't let the cute art fool you, this game will tug on your heartstrings HARD. I simply had a blast from start to finish with a premise sooo good that I wish they create an anime about this game (Elfi is the best!). 10/10 I will play all Miwashiba's games next xD
5/10
I played the game for about 3-4 hours, I left the game open overnight, leading to high time count. I would recommend getting this game on sale if you're going to buy it. There is three chapters, the game play is EXTREMELY story based, a lot of taking, the game has about 3 different main areas, so if you're interested in the story, enjoy very fictional stories, want a quick and easy game, like this style of game, and feel like doing a lot of reading and talking to NPC's then you may enjoy this game.
i enjoyed it a lot, good game for when you just wanna go on a small adventure, as long as you're the type to enjoy small story driven games then you'll like this
Wonderful use of RPG as a storytelling mechanic, combats are easy and level grinds are very quick. If the puzzles are too hard for you, there is a steam walkthrough. I've recently found there is a prequel novel to this game series (LiEat: The Lie-Eating Dragon and the Forgotten-Color Songstress), and I'm planning to munch on it tonight.
fun, very good and cute artstyle, good story 9.3/10 recommend
Man.. these games were amazing. even with how short they were, I got attached to the characters and thier stories. If you have $3 bucks to spend, just buy it.
Quite a good small game with a decent prices that contain a 3 games~ If you like a old-school RPG Maker Games with no heavy story~ And easy to play as well easy to finish~ This game is for you!~
7/10
The charming story, and character dynamics, therein make the second-priority RPG gameplay worth sitting through. Puzzles are mostly simple, but occasionally tricky. The art style is lovely, but can look blurry on larger monitors.
Three small games packaged together is definitely worth the £2.
I'm so happy that somehow, some way, Steam will eventually be able to lead me to such incredible indie titles. LiEat has an endearing story and does so much with its characters and environments in the short run-time that you end up wanting so much more by the end of the 3rd episode. The game-play is simply, but intuitive enough to keep you playing, the soundtrack is very well done, and the characters and story are, once again, developed so well that I feel somewhat sad to move on from it. I'm glad to have been able to experience it.
peak
A bit too boring and can't shake the feeling I was dumped into a story already midway through.
Very short and to the point, very predictable, I found the gameplay to basically be "figure out where to go next to get to the conclusion you can see coming since about 5 mins into the game".
Can't be too harsh though considering the asking price.
Cool character design and art when not in pixel mode. Nice music.
story was way better than I thought it would be. Art is beautiful and the world building is super cool too. well worth a few bucks and a afternoon to play
audio doesnt work 3
absolute peak game...10/10 game. u have to play it. im not biased at all or anything..hahaha..
A fun short trilogy of games. Only had issues with one puzzle, but the story is super sweet
Very fun story for a tiny price, pick it up for a great few hours of fun
TLDR: A very anime, but also very charming RPG
Pros:
- extremely lovely sprite work
- the environments in each chapter fit the atmosphere of their respective story through color
- The end car art is cute, and the short cutscenes are fun
- The story is very anime, a duo traveling from town to town, solving mysteries and fighting monsters
- the music is fun
Neutral:
- While there is turn-based combat, it's very straightforward. You can attack, use abilities that do damage or give buffs, and use items.
- I don't mind this, as the focus of the game is on the story and characters
- that being said, certain endings are determined on if you win/lose fights, or win a fight but at a specific level, so be sure to save a lot if you want to get all the endings
- I'm okay with anime-ish tropes, but there was one or two bits I rolled my eyes at, others tolerance will very
- The game is a tiny little window! I think it's cute more than anything
Cons:
- The pop sound when you defeat a Lie is very annoying
- can't adjust game volume, need to adjust your system volume only
I found it relaxing I guess. For the price it's fair. The game is broken down into 3 parts and includes all of them. The combat is definitely the weakest part and isn't very good. The story is so-so. However one redeeming factor is that this game is very easy to get all the achievements fairly quickly. So if you like 100%ing games maybe it's worth it to you. However for a lot of people I'd say to just skip it. I give it like a 4/10 (5/10 if 100%ing matters to you) lol. It's meh.
I think I got it on sale for a dollar or something so it's at least worth that dollar is why I give it a thumbs up.
cute lovely
I played the dev's previous game, Alicemare right before this, at least I think it was the previous, so I had some level of expectation going in. Those expectations were blown well out of the water. This game, or in reality, trilogy, is short, but absolutely amazing. The art is adorable, I love the music, and the story, despite its short length, is one of the best I've experienced in a while. It has such amazing ideas, and I would pay to see so much more done with this world. Gameplay was a solid 7/10 for being a very basic RPG with no depth, but the story, for what it was, and given the endings of 3, I think is actually a 10/10. Genuinely, if you enjoy (Mostly) lighter stories that are still engaging, I HEAVILY recommend this game.
Bye-bye Theo, I love you
So adorable I want to adopt them :3
Super mini RPG with vampires I guess. Lots of dialogs, lots of mystery. Not always obvious where to go next. This is a trilogy so it might take some hours to complete. For me it lack spine to be interesting enough. I don't know play it if you like RPG with vampires and lots of pixels - I'll give it a pass.
Short and sweet. I liked how it was divided up into three parts. Honestly, I wish it was longer!!
cute
I didn't know what to expect when i got this game but it surprise me in a good way.
I really enjoy the game it really lovely
I got the game on sale for $1.19, (I think) and I have to say it was definitely worth that price. I thoroughly enjoyed the game, but it was quite short and I wish the author would make more LiEat games. Aside from going back to try and get all the endings and achievement there isn't much replay value. Due to the fact that the game is only $3 off-sale, I would recommend you buy it for a few hours of entertainment.
P.S Why does the game come with the rearrange soundtrack when that's sold separately?
This is a cute little RPG that's able to fit a surprising amount of intrigue and depth into just a few hours. I did use a walkthrough to find what I needed to progress, but I definitely recommend taking your time and not zooming through the game since you'll miss a lot of story information and not be able to take in the game. There are a few criticisms I have of the game here and there, I'm not sure why they chose to divide the game into 3 "separate" games where you revert your level, and I wish there was a greater variation on equipment you can find to alter your characters stats/cosmetics. The battle system is rather simple but serviceable and fun if you like JRPGs.
The real focus of this game isn't so much about the combat but about the interpersonal relationships of the characters, some detective sleuthing and learning about the conflicts between Dragons and the people who live in this world. The characters you meet aren't all the most well developed but they certainly have some personality. I actually liked the two main characters and by the end they had a very touching relationship. The game overall has an interesting narrative even if I have some qualms about the pacing/delivery, and I found myself having fun and looking forward to what would happen in the next chapter. There's also multiple endings and the canon/true ending I found to be very touching and emotionally satisfying as a conclusion.
If you're in the mood for a cute RPG game with nice art and good music with an interesting mystery/detective element with a little combat thrown in, this will be right through your ally. I got the game on sale but even for the normal price of $3 there's more than enough here to warrant the price and it will be worth it in entertainment value, some aspects remind me of other colorful series like Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. Very recommended for RPG fans, reminds me of a nice micro RPG that would have come out in the GBA/Nintendo DS era.
i love elfi and leos relationship, it's so cute.
Miwashiba cooked HARD in this one, especially in the feels.
such a cute game -`ღ´-
woof
I LOVE YOU (i'm glad i bought this old one)
visualmente e sonoramente interessante, um pouco massante pela dialogos mas a história é boa, a tradução em português é bugada
cutie patootie
I've been a fan of Miwashiba's games before they were added to steam, and I can honestly say LiEat is my favorite of their catalog. It's a short and sweet game that you can complete in an hour and not put much thought into, it's a good price for what it has to offer, mindless and fluffy fun
Nice and quick game. Nice and simple art, music is not bad. Thumbs up for the slap sound when hitting enemies.
for low spec pc good but not for me...
I LOVE EFFI SO MUCH I LOVE THIS GAME RAAAAA
true
I've only played 1/3 self-conclusive chapters, which took me less than 2 hours to complete, but I can already tell the quality is worth the price.
The map and cast are fairly limited but well fleshed out. The designs are very cute, the story and dialogues are endearing and intriguing yet they always push forward the narrative and character development without a single moment of boredom. Combat is just there, not remarkable but not tedious either and it serves its purpose, contributing to the narrative too.
Looking forward to playing the next 2 chapters. All in all, an easy recommendation: another bite-sized work of love by Miwashiba.
10/10 game worth it
Solid game with a decent story. Could sell for $5 or $10, kept me busy for a few hours. Can't ask for anything more!
Short and sweet with charming characters and art. Very story driven.
I suppose it could be worse after all
