Great game. Great music. The gameplay was very fun. I encountered no bugs and had a great time playing this game. I will look out for future games by this team. I just randomly came across the game and loved it. Also there is a demo which helped me decide to buy this and finish it.
A lovely game. I loved the questing, gathering and crafting potions. I just wish that it had more content. My only dislike it that you have to face your target to attach. It can get a bit frustrating. But overall, I enjoy playing Tanzia. :)
The game itself is not bad BUT DO NOT PAY FULL PRICE as it is short and it is over before it starts. I honestly can't recommend it.
Yea. Sure.
Look its good enough that it will make you wish MMOs combat were as good... even it tho it . SOOOO basic... SOO BASIC... just damage and area damage and 1 stun damage spells
its.. good enough.. its a game. Its not an infinite rat skinner box...
tho warning. after 1 area with the crabs you have to move to the next with the other tribe and you will not be able to defeat them.
And I got paranoid I'd have to cheese the game and the rest of the game will have the same grueling speed or some bullshit...
So i had to see a guide... and there is only 1 guide on steam. A woman who...... well , personally i don't like that posture and eyes that look like normie but "Im gamer now" but...her videos helped... and she does play from the start... just personal.
Its just that..... scared me........ TOO much. Cause i've played a LONG STRING of bad games and I thought "FUCK its bait and switch again"
nope.. They just hid the new spell guy far too much at the edge of the village... near the walls..
I STILL get lost when i want to test why that happened. Its just... The first village and the next teach you there is nothing around the corners.. useless.
And there it is.. the way to progress in the game. In the corner
ANYWAY
Once you get past that. Yea its a ... quick... (well not in relation to movies but yea) 7hr game.. So 1 weekend...
And the story is ...functional.. its there...
Its a ...basic B rate game... to have fun and forget
I got it to see if i had a problem with Tab targetting in ALLLLL FUCKING MMOs.... Or I was right and it was the animation
I was right
It was the animations
And while the team did a basic job relatively
In the tab targeting area... this being a hobby project really at the end.... dedicated 1 dude's grandfather (the entire game is about finishing your grandfather's legacy) and friends and family
They did what none else did
single player
Tab targetting
FUN...
Game...
Cause you do have to kite enemies. Bunch them up. Stun sometimes. At near the end of the game you have to start using potions heavily ... from the start you are dependent on Mana potions which you can only get buy buying which you can only do by farming which you can only do buy mana
you might think im complaning. BUT this ... entire combat.. is what I wanted to experience in MMOs and I spent well over 5 years in multiple MMOs trying to get it
And this one showed it to me in 7hrs
7 GOD DAMN HOURS.
HOW..
either way yea
If you are curious
I'll give it my greatest endorsement
which is. its not a scam
Im really not a reviewer.. I can't tell if games are good or bad or godly and frankly I feel every game is disgustigly overhyped... even tho most my life i have loved games while people told me I was a child or irresponsible for loving them from childhood.....weird
BUT.. i still think games are super hyped
Games are games.. Its just... whatever. different things to different people
and All i care about Is if its a scam or not
its not.......
Its not "Oo you will loose cause you HAVE to take damage while i make you feel like you dont know why you took damage thus forcing you to do a damgeless run if you ever even want to have a SPEC of chance to have fun"
its good
just buy it. Play for yourself. find out if its good or bad
11 chapters..
BUT
complaint about the last boss
how come... The entire game is about magic. Yet at the end with 5 slow mo motions. 2 no cooldown on magic potions.. I found the enemy takes fucking.. No damage to magic
but in 1 phase takes like 40 50 damage from bear form
Meele op
wtf
1 more complaint
after defeating the final boss and well.. you inevitably have to die in the dungeon for the game to end .
I think its possible to get through it by spaming invinsibility potion. But i didn;t do it cause it felt like it was intended you die or get to the edge and have to quickly use the feather....
But at this point. too many games burnt me. Im not going to take the risk that another one breaks or dissapoints me. So im going to assume that didn't happen
OKAY AND SOMEONE needs to do a longplay no commetary of this game.. With all quests or something in case people need a guide
I don't care if the devs write a manual for you..... In PDF form. with everything detailed
<3 tika forever
A fun story with creative, entertaining writing and dialogue.
I like role playing games. Sometimes they are so long I never finish them. This game is very short. It doesn' t show blood and gore. The quests are not hard. Actions are easy to learn and the game is just fun. I do wish it was longer. Maybe the developer's next game will be a little bit longer. I certainly hope another game like this one is made. I will play this game again on a harder level next time. It's just fun to play.
Tanzia is a charming little game that reminds me of old-school WoW, in a good way. The world design is colourful and fantastical, and feels like a really inviting place to play around in. It's a very low-pressure, relaxed sort of game in terms of its overall vibe, even though there are definitely encounters where you need to think carefully; some enemies have hard immunities or require specific countering strategies, and once you've figured them out they suddenly become a lot easier, which is a nice feeling. The story is simplistic but friendly and inviting. Overall - if you enjoy wandering around a lush, pretty world doing simple chores for people and occasionally getting into fights with a variety of monsters, definitely give this a go.
It's not perfect, but I'm still impressed by the polish overall. The controls are pretty good except for the jump-attack, which feels weirdly floating and imprecise despite also being the best attack by far. The opening 10-minute comicbook cutscene was unbelievably long, but by the end of the game I kind of liked the little comicbook interludes as a way of delivering backstory. The UI sometimes doesn't communicate a few things, like what a character's name is (unless you target them), but you get used to it pretty quick as the information that's missing turns out not to be very critical.
I recommend using the "MMO" control scheme - it's very comfortable to use and works quite well.
Had fun, finished the game on normal/hard
Needs a NG+ and finished story mode end game content. Like an option to go back and do missed sidequests or at least explore the entirety of the world.
Respawnable and farmable bosses would be cool
Would like to see a Tanzia 2 with a skill tree/passive tree system and a sortable inventory.
I really appreciate the simplicity, but sometimes too simple gets boring.
Thank you for the experience, however I wouldn't recommend this for players that want more than a couple hours of gameplay after spending $27AUD.
3/5 Stars
NOT WORTH IT / HAVING TO STAND DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF ENEMY TO HIT WITH STAVE / JUMPING HAS ISSUES OF LANDING BEHIND THE ENEMY / GETTING STUCK IN THE PORTALS / ENEMY WILL RUN OFF WIN CLOSE TO DEATH COMING BACK WITH MORE / VERY NOT WELL DONE GAME
Very fun game. Major problem with the game though it's that it is way to short. Took 7 hours to beat and that is as a new player. Max level is only 12. I'm wondering where the rest of the game is. I want to give the game a 5 star but the short play down grades it to a 3 star. I would recommend this game because it is a great game even though it's way to short. Hopefully they add a lot more content to this game. I would willing to pay more if they added a lot more.
Very fun game, great story and lots of fun magic build options.
Really fun game. It's a lot like what you'd expect from the screenshots and description; it has a clean, early wow mmorpg art style, a simple combat, loot, quest, and potion crafting system, and a story that grips you at what felt like halfway through the game. There are two comics in that game that you can read about the story and they are really well done. My only major complaint is that the ending felt a bit rushed. Part of that could be the map isn't fully used so it feels like there's a lot more than there is. Overall, it's a nice experience. If you like the art style and mmorpg combat and gathering, then I highly recommend this game.
Controls are bad. This game is nicely built patterned after PS1-games like Spyro, Megaman, etc.
But they had intuitive controls. Therefore, in this game, poor and hard to manage controls are unforgivable.
Absolutely love the game and can only recommend it.
Graphics:
I love the comic-style Artwork. It looks great, the animations are well drawn and it just feels good to walk around in this game and look around. The sky, the sea, the trees, the NPC's, the monsters, everything looks alive and just soooo good.
Gameplay:
Sometimes it feels a bit weird to move around, jump and attack, but other than those few occasions the game runs pretty decent. I had 2 laggs while playing and streaming so I cannot tell if it was because of my pc or because of the game.
Story:
Someone really put a lot of thought into the story. At first it feels like a standard "Hey, you are a hero and have to safe the world"-kinda story, but that changes after the first hour or so. Near the end the story takes a totally unexpected turn and that was the best thing they could've done. You know who your allies are and you get to know them from a different perspective if you read more into the game lore. Which is really well made with ingame comics. I absolutely loved reading them, they slowed the game down a bit, which was good. You had a small break while reading those.
All in all I can say that the developers put so much love into that game.
Totally recommend the game.
well didnt even play it. its made for a pet computer. no options to make it wide screen... wth are you guys making this on?
This is a great game. As a fan of similar games - Portal Knights, My Time at Portia, etc. - I couldn't wait to get this and I haven't been disappointed. It is slightly different in that there's no crafting or building, but your character will have to collect materials and resources from different locations to create potions.
What I like about this game, in particular, is that you don't have enough slots to keep all your potions and spells at hand - you really have to think strategically as to which spells and potions will work better against the enemies. I also love the story line. You get it in pieces along the way, in the form of journals, flashbacks and memories.
Overall, a great game and I can definitely see myself playing this again using the knowledge I've picked up along the way.
The game is aswome but after only 5 hours, I beat the game already with all side quest beside the one that you need to find 6 page around the map. If there gonna be more stuff to play with, more armors/helmets/staffs, more areas with more quests.
there is one thing that i dont like, when you beat the game here go the beautifull scene but after you lost everything that the boss give to you that a bit a shame.
I like the game alot. Graphics are good, music is good, voice acting is good, plenty of quest. Only thing I don't like is the camera. I wish I didn't have to hold a button to constantly face the enemy. Hold one button down and having to use like four other buttons to fight is just to much. You have to hold down a button to stayfacing a locked on an enemy, then Two buttons for switching between spells. Then one to change who you lock onto, then one to use your spell. Seriously 5 buttons to fight. And I wish the camera would just auto face the direction you are facing, when not in combat. Besides that the game is fun to play. Just really really really wish the mechanics were a bit better.
I've only played about an hour but I can tell it has potential only problem is I can't get passed the part where you have 10 seconds to get a bunch of bird feathers
update: I got past the part and have been really enjoying the game so far I haven't got very far yet but It's still fun
Je l'attend depuis 1 and et demi et je ne suis pas decu il manque de quelques petites choses mais il est encore en early donc cest pas grave mais il est très jouable.
