Chase your future self through time and alternate realities while fighting giant monsters, collecting hats, and eating cake! No Time To Explain is a game about Time Paradoxes, Jetpack Guns and Ribs In People's Eyes. It's a comedy platformer featuring great music, voice acting and gameplay that becomes more ridiculous as you go.

We're an indie game development and publishing company. No Time To Explain is our first game. It came out of a successful Kickstarter and Greenlight adventure. Since No Time To Explain, we started helping other developers with their games. After getting enough muscle behind our internal studio, we came back to No Time To Explain, and completely remade the game in a proper engine. No Time To Explain Remastered is free for everyone who owns the original!

No Time to Explain is one of those Difficult 2D platformers. The game takes an interesting way of traversing the levels by giving you a Laser gun that is used as a jetpack, because of this, you have to be able to aim correctly and use the momentum of the gun to propel yourself so you can be able to reach high ground or jump a very big gap. At the end of each world, you fight a boss with your gun and you have to be careful because the gun naturally pushes you backwards when you shoot, so boss fights can be challenging because of this factor but also in general the boss fights are a little hard. The story is pretty silly and it made me laugh a few times and it is a game that does not take itself too seriously. Every Time you reach a new world they would introduce you a new gameplay mechanic or change the way you play, which I thought was really nice since it kept things fresh throughout your journey.
Overall I would say this was a pretty fun and challenging game. if you are into Difficult 2D platformers with a lot of variety in gameplay I would recommend this game to you. The game is pretty short though so if that is an issue then get it on sale if anything. However, there is a ton of community made levels that you can donwload from the Steam Workshop so even if you finish the game, there is still tons of levels you can try out plus 2 bonus worlds after you beat the game.
This game was ahead of its time, 100/10 with my future self's ribs in his eyes
Kind of a meh personally
I was never a fan of the humor and most of the alternate gameplay styles and bossfights are just less fun than the regular levels in my opinion. I'd still rate it at like 6/10 though.
Fun little flash style game. Reminds me a lot of Deepest Sword with it's unique movement mechanics.

there's one level at the end section that's unnecessarily hard. 10/10
