Arcade Baseball games used to be a thing in the 90's. Funny enough now in 2024 ther are only TWO options: this great port of "BASEBALL STARS 2" or "Super MEGA BASEBALL".
Pros: This is really a great port and makes fun for casual gaming.
Cheap.
Cons: no save games.

A good ole arcade baseball game. Brings back memories. The achievements are a lil too hard or too much work for me, but still fun game.
I was trying to buy a nice assortment of different sports games for my computer, and this seemed like a pretty good low cost baseball game. This game has an easy mode for people who don't play baseball very much. The graphics are a little bit worse than I usually prefer but apart from that it seems like a good game.
WARNING:
Before you buy this sensational classic title, Please keep in mind that the save feature is 100% absent from this version of the game. I genuinely have zero idea why SNK thought it was a cute idea to remove this extremely vital feature, As it can actually make it possible for most regular people to complete the game. Instead, If your going for the World Championship game, You're gonna need some tremendous skill, timing, knowledge, and of course, time. It took me about 6 to 7 hours to fully complete this game, & yes, I took a shower after playing. My soul hurts, for the extreme limits the user has to go through just to beat this game, & the lack of the F***** save feature. If you're going for World Champion, Good Luck, & Godbless you.
Other than that, Great Game!
The art of this game is still wonderful and compatible to modern in American style I found.
Recommended to those want to play the old game.

Never played the NEO GEO original, so I don't have a frame of reference there, but this is a fun little game.
Easy to pick up, difficult to master. Great with friends.
1 out, bases loaded, I hit a pop fly and all runners ran. Bad Programming!
I've played this game so much as a kid that it got me to love baseball. But the lack of ability to save your game means that you'll never get to earn certain achievements that require you to play all games in the league, unless you leave your game turned on like the old fashioned way. Despite this, I still have lots of fun with this game. I feel lucky to have run into this on Steam.
as the fifth best BASEBALL STARS 2 speedrunner in the world (out of six people) my opinion is much better then the average reviewer and with my Infinite wisdom I can say without any doubt in my mind BASEBALL STARS 2 is the best game ever made
Ha..takes me back to when I used to go to the caravan on a family holiday when I was little and in the arcades was this game. Spent hours on it. Time to spend some more .
Old School Neo Geo Feels coming up. The Save Function is really missing
I love this game so much! Arcade sports games are just the best sometimes! It's infuriating as all hell and the COM is almost certainly cheating but it's too addiciting not to reccomend.

It's old school neo geo. If you kids dont know what Neo Geo is, you missed out on the greatest video game console of all time, and the best arcade system. God bless Neo Geo Gold.

If you like baseball, take a crack at this riotous early '90s arcade hit. It might just steal your heart.
Classic 1980's style baseball. I thought it was corny when they first released on NES, definitely not for those who like the authenticity of MLB The Show or that of the 2K baseball series. We need another baseball game for PC, one that is worthy of being called an action sim. I can never purchase a stat crunching game, I like action, but autheentic action.
HOME RUN: 10/10
This game makes baseball very fun.
