In addition to the six Mega Man games, Mega Man Legacy Collection features new ways to experience the classic games with the Museum Mode and new Challenge Mode. Challenge Mode remixes gameplay segments from all six games, with plenty of scaling difficulty objectives for experienced players to conquer yet serving as a good starting point for new players, too. Museum Mode contains a comprehensive collection of history, high-res art and original concept pieces – a mega treat for any fan of Mega Man and video game history.
FEATURES
- Six classic games in one – Play a piece of video game history with the original six Mega Man games and experience the origins of the classic series.
- 8-bit style with HD flair – The games retain their retro 8-bit style with an added HD finish, giving a crisp, clean look to the charming, classic sprites.
- Challenge remix mode for new and veteran players – The robust new Challenge Mode remixes gameplay from all six games for a new type of challenge. It provides both increasingly difficult trials for experienced players and also teaches newcomers to become familiar with the style of the games and tackle some of the trickier areas.

Classics
i dont want no man unless his legacy collection mega
Why the fuck aren't the rewind feature and the ability to save at any time not in the X Legacy Collections? They're a lifesaver
There are six bangers in this pack, and I think it's worth it. This works out to a little less than three dollars a game. These games still have solid design that holds up to this day...For the most part.
Mega Man 1 is definitely the weakest one, the thing feels barely finished. Mega Man 2 is a well renowned classic, but it insists on having the worst Wily Bosses in the franchise. Each game has its problems, but you can see tangible growth over time. The games are kind enough to have save states, so even the worst moments are tolerable. In current year, you have all the guides and trick videos you could want for these games. And they are much more doable than most other NES games. I'd say it's worth it to enjoy these classics, and gain some cool concept art.
Megaman Legacy Collection is for sure the best way to experience Classic Megaman. For everyone familiar with the series, Megaman surely needs no introduction, this collection includes games 1-6, or the classic NES era of the blue bomber. These games run via emulation, they are not ports; and the emulation provided is mostly accurate to the originals.
As per the games itself, I don't want to lose too many words on them. Megaman is a platforming staple, and all 6 games are incredible and well worth your time. They are short, but difficult action platformers that each helped shape the genre in their own ways. Megaman games are also designed to be replayed and there's much joy to be had in improving and getting better at each of the titles, which extends their playtime quite a lot. Furthermore, MMLC throws in a challenge mode that remixes much of the original content into unique, altho somewhat repetitive challenges. I've personally found lots of fun in these; there's boss rushes and scenes that take you through the hardest sections of each game simultaneously, and more. It's a small extra on an already great collection of classic games.
On the technical side, MMLC provides a lot of extra value and quality of life features. Different visual filters, full button rebinding, CPU modes (Original or Turbo), save states and more let you customize the experience to your liking and makes these admittedly quite aged games more accessible to newer generations of gamers that may not be used to the quirks of NES platformers. There is also extensive controller support, and I have had no problem playing each game with my myriad of custom controllers, be they Xbox Elites or aftermarket NES replicas. Also included is a full OST music player for each title, as well as several pieces of Key Art, Concept Artwork, and similar visual material. All in all there's lots of content for old fans and new players alike. Whether you're just now chewing through your first title, or have already mastered them, MMLC manages to cater to both sides by making the games more accessible for everybody. There is even an option to switch to the japanese "Rockman" version of each game, which is just lovely.
No matter if you're a longtime follower of the blue bomber, or are just now getting your feet wet with the Megaman series, the Legacy Collection has pretty much everything you woulod need and want out of the Megaman experience. The first 6 entries in Megaman's journey are among the NES' finest titles and excel at precise, action-packed platforming; and while they would later be succeeded and improved upon many times, these games remain some of my favorites to this day. They're incredibly fun, feature some of the NES' best music and prettiest pixel artwork, and remain a joy to play and get good at. In short, if you haven't played Megaman, what are you still waiting for?
shining like im megaman i smoke megaman
I am the Man, The MEGA MAN
Great games!!
If you like mega man, you'll like it
Fair warning, there can be input lag sometimes (i noticed it especially in 3 and 6)
1 - Average, some bosses are a pain without their weaknesses (ice/elec man)
2 - Very good, fun weapons and bosses
3 - Pretty good, good weapons, some of the hardest bosses
4 - Amazing, fun weapons, good mix of difficulty (im biased since it was my first mega man game though)
5 - I didnt like it but it definitely has some good things, tougher bosses/levels, a bit repetitive (though this also applies to 6)
6 - Pretty good, fun gimmick (rush adaptors) but mid weapons and pretty eh bosses
Time Trials - Varied and very fun, the gold times aren't super restrictive but can be a hassle
Overall, just try it and see if you like it
meg man woa
eine delikatesse! 🥸👍
This is a great way to experience the OG Megaman games. The new features and the CPU fix is nice because there were areas in the game that would slow down considerably, but do not now. The leaderboards are kind of a joke, though.
This is a pretty decent way to play the original six Megaman games. As far as I can tell emulation for the NES is pretty decent and there's some decent new features and additions. I haven't tried the challenge modes but I'm sure those add some replay value.
Compared to the Anniversary collection on the PS2/Gamecube/Xbox this is a more authentic experience, but I'm not sure I'd recommend it over those releases for more casual players. Those versions are the Playstation Rockman Complete Works ported over and while features are stripped down from those releases there's some changes including hints when the game is paused that may be useful for those just starting to play these games and those who are intent on just sort of playing this casually.
For the initiated, the blue bomber is ready for your commands. for the uninitiated, listen up.
These games is all about rhythms and patterns, the games are unfair, cheap, and will screw you repeatedly...... and thats the point! These are the 2D dark souls that made that franchise the beast it is today. You need to discern the weaknesses your enemy bosses have before you make a genuine run for the endgame, sure older kids will pretty quick find them only to be stymied as X ability doesnt work on Y boss? Your gonna be tested, your gonna be angry when you fail, but these games will make you..... better at every other game that uses patterns to make bosses go bump. 6/10 because you can save scum your way through.
It's an amazing collection of games, especially if you're thinking about hopping into the Mega Man franchise. Each of the games provide a good balance of difficulty (Most of the time) and fun! With each game getting better than the previous one. Features like the rewind and save points can help a causal player get through them. Of course those features are optional to use. So if you want the authentic NES experience, you don't have to use them at all.
However if you're looking for a challenge or want to improve yourself when playing these games. I'd recommend giving the challenges a try! At first most of them seem tough or feel impossible, but as someone who has gotten all 54 of the gold medals, I can tell you each one is doable. The dopamine I got from getting a gold medal on one of the challenges was amazing!
So go on and give this game collection a shot!
What can I possibly say about Mega Man that hasn't already been said?
If you have never played these games then it long passed the time to change that, and buy this collection ASAP.
This is the best way to play these games outside of owning the original releases, the Legacy Collection has 100% perfect emulation down to the CPU speed if you want to see exactly what it was like back in the day.
10 out of 10 so just buy it already, you will not be sorry.
GOOD GAME WITH A FREE SOUNDTRACK THATS NOT A DLC
A collection of allo other OG MegaMan games and controls are a bit janky but you can change them later.
The only issue with this collection is
█▀▄ █▀█ █▀▄▀█
█▄▀ █▀▄ █░▀░█
As a Child I loved these games and now as an adult I still enjoy them love the fact they can also be played on the steam deck way to go guys! <3
I remember playing Megaman as a kid and never being able to beat a single game. Nows my chance LOL
Among the best of gaming ever
if you have not tried this before you should probably start with MM4 the most newbie friendly title
Mega Man - Rough around the edges, six robot masters instead of eight, music's not too good, and the friggin' YELLOW DEVIL. Skip this one.
Mega Man 2 - The Metal Blade practically breaks the game's difficulty in half, but most of the other weapons like Air Shooter & Quick Boomerang are fun to use too. I'd give it a shot as an opener to classic Mega Man.
Mega Man 3 - Definitely where they started to find their footing. This game introduced series staples such as Rush & Proto Man, and the weapon select screen isn't a clunky mess. Give this one a try.
Mega Man 4 through 6 - Peak. Play them. Especially 4.
the best
Sweet sweet Mega Man goodnes!!!!
Didn't have one issue with the PC version of this collection. I previously played it on PS4 and both versions seem identical. Great collection of games, easily some of the best on the NES.
THIS GAME AINT GOT NO BLACK CHARACTERS IN IT ITS RACIST YALL BECAUSE WHY ALL DA CHARACTERS WHITE I WILL NOT BE PLAYING THIS GAME AND IMMA RETURN DIS RACIST ASS GAME YAL: FUCK KKKAPCOM AND THEY RACIST ASSES WTF
mega man
Ripoff compared to the Anniversary collection on PS2/Xbox.
My childhood memories <3
A solid 9/10 collection. All of the bonus content such as the museum, music player and challenges are always appreciated in these collections.
Mega Man? Yes, I like Mega Man. Did you know... Mega Man is called Rockman in Japan? WAAHAHAH of course you did! What's next? I'm gonna tell you Mario 2 is a reskin of Doki Doki Panic? Don't be silly!
Its so fun to go back and play the old games :)
Really good port of the classic games.
Mega Man Legacy Collection is an absolute gem for fans old and new of Mega Man
gud game
Not worth it in any way shape or form
good
Makes you realize how far you've fallen
I love Mega Man so so much!
Nice :]
Just emulate them
They're old
As a emulation port of the first six Mega Man games, it's a serviceable port, all the features are there from the original games, (IE the pause glitch in MM1 and the pseudo pause glitch in MM2, it's not the same in MM2 but it helps you avoid damage in a pinch.) I suggest playing the game with a D-Pad though, since Mega Man seems kinda fidgy with a thumbstick, there's times where I've fired the wrong way because of it. The challenge mode is a fun addition, I just wish the times weren't overly strict for some of them it's like if you make one mistake and aren't playing perfectly you're not getting Gold you're getting Silver at best (I'm not saying it's completely the game's fault, it's just some of the Gold times feel overly strict.) cause some of the levels from MM1/MM2 weren't made to be speedran (I know about the speedrunning community for the Mega Man games but the average player doesn't have the knowledge speedrunners do nor the time to put into it to learn said tricks.); I like how we can listen to the OSTs of the games too, that's a nice touch; I can't think of many compilations that include OSTs so it's welcomed.
These games are amazing and to me at least aged well. Funny thing unlike most people I find I enjoy them more as an adult. Kind of like the memory of how good I was as a kid meets how I struggle as an adult haha :)
These are great for replay value as well, speed runs, etc. I highly recommend them. 2 is by far the easiest but the best in my opinion. Easily work the spend!
mega man 3 is the entire reason why i recommend you buy this game
It is very fun and the emulator features are awesome
megan goes across diferent world to kill NON megans and is rewarded for mass (hugs). hooray!!
