early on the game is fun to play and good and fun... later the try and mix up the missions and it becomes a buggy, unplayable mess... where random mobs will spawn into walls, and you have to, kill them... move boxes to trucks that don't recognize you moved them tot he truck and last...

Having played this on console, I figured it might be better on PC. I was dead wrong.

I'll keep it short and sweet:
-Quest tracking is nearly non-existent
-Dialogue feels written for children
-Combat is like any other cookie cutter isometric game
-Low effort story

The only reason I bought this game again was because I figured they would've done a bit more QoL updates, fleshed out the mechanics, and ironed out the non-existent quest tracking. They did none of these things, and just did a direct, lazy port to the PC. It's so lazy that a lot of the button prompts pop up as controller inputs as opposed to keyboard, and the buttons that do show up are so far from traditional that it makes you question whether the dev even played video games prior to designing their own.

If you like isometric games that require you to grind resources, and you don't mind having to pay very close attention to and recall dialogue to keep track of what quest you're doing outside of main missions, then getting this on a sale would not hurt one bit.

If you aren't really a fan of isometric games, but you want to give one a shot just to feel out the genre, this ain't the place to start. Go elsewhere.

It's a huge downgrade compared to the first game.

It's a great game, pretty relaxing too. There is some grinding to do, but it's not something to hate. It's also great that you can play with friends. Definitely worth it's price.

The first game was a little bit better than this one but still.
It is the same thing with a few new enemies and clunky gameplay (the game is made for consoles, wich is why the controls are a bit clunky)

The camp mechanic is....meh but it gives you another reason to go out and murder zombies, everything you do will give you experience wich you exchange for points for your character, camp, and ¨skills¨ (for separated) so you will have to choose wisely or just ...kill more and more. i do preffer the first one metod with the skill tree but eh..
Anyways is a nice game and more focused in multiplayer than the first one so if you have friends and wanna try something different go on give it a try.

Didn't have the same charm as the first one. I would suggest you go play that one instead.

before i say anything i like this game i find it fun but my god is this an unfinished mess the combat is just H2S1's combat so yeah i think its pretty good but also super easy maps very forgetable they all look the same to anyone that does have a life and didnt play the shit outta of a sloppish fake sequel to game they like on the 360 (i played on the xbox one not this thus my measly 30 hours) lore is ass but h2s1's is also pretty bad bosses i mean theyre there but its just normal enemys with like twice theyre damage and health also never play the non pc versions theyre very gimpped dont know why you would since youre looking at steam reviews but dont touch em overall 4/10 i love this game but please dont touch this game even if they do finish it the games still ass im just a shill

This is garbage on many levels.

How to Survive 2 is a blast to play with a friend, especially at night for that extra spooky atmosphere. The teamwork and survival challenges make it thrilling and memorable—perfect for fans of cooperative zombie games and its really not all that bloody.

No idea why its only "mixed"... you may read things like "pay 2 win" and people complaining about timers, or that there isnt any story and the such, but ignore those. As someone who played and completed the first one, as well as owning this game for years and playing it a lot too, let me tell you whats really the case here.

- No its NOT pay 2 win, you can do just fine without DLC weapons and pets. Its making it easier, yes, but you dont need it, especially when playing by yourself or with friends.
- People down voting it because of timers are the same kind who down vote survival or horror games for lack of ammunition. Guys, as if you NEVER had a timer in any game. It is adding a sense of urgency, not every quest has timers either. Lower the difficulty of the level, run past enemies, ask a friend to help via controller or literally anything. You will have plenty of time for any objective.
- Yeah there isnt really a story, it has several NPCs with their own mini stories and rewards as well as seasonal stories. Its supposed to be more sandbox and honestly... for 15 bucks you cant really complain about it. Its pretty chill, plus it has 4 player couch co-op, what game has that these days? If you really want, wait for a sale or something.

Its not a bad game. Its very grindy, but so is almost every game (especially survival ones). If its not yours, dont get it. if you are interested but you arent sure if its yours, get it on sale, but give it a chance.
Personally I hope there will be a third game someday.
