D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die -Season One-

It's a real shame that this game never got a continuation because it's actually a really cool idea. I'm not a huge fan of the control method (which only uses the mouse), the frame rate is weird and modifying it to not be weird causes some desync on voices in cutscenes, and the doctor guy talks way too slow. Other than that, though, this is a really unique mystery story that unfortunately gets cut short right when it starts getting good. I would still recommend playing it, or at least looking up a synopsis of what the game's story was like on YouTube.

All of the characters in this game are super wacky, too. There was personality just oozing from it. I'm really sad I can't see more.

Unfinished game.

I’m really sad this game will never get finished but I’m happy we even got what we did.

I’m a huge deadly premonition fan and this game just fits so nicely in that universe and the characters are fun and quirky and it really just strikes that tone of DP where it’s seriously goofy but with a darker story underneath.

The quick time events are a lot of fun even if the game can feel a bit too easy sometimes. Just finished my first run of season 1 and will probably be going back to replay it very soon because of a few things I missed.

Please whoever can make it happen finish season 2.

For everyone who is interested into the story and how it would continue there is a great retrospective on youtube which speculated on the missing puzzles. Thats all we can do now sadly as the series is almost abandonware, I still enjoyed my time with it and the price is pretty small. Skip to 58:00

Amazing Game, that will never see its end. It's honestly a crime that we were robbed of what this masterpiece could've been.

🍀 If only there was one more final action scene to smooth the overall negative from the plot incompleteness. Otherwise, this is still a unique and fun point'n'click in its own way. There are enough optional activities, harmoniously complementing the atmosphere. Individual dialogues or things can be accidentally missed, but this game is obviously designed for replayability, and is literally made to be played with just a mouse. Bizarre, smooth, great soundtrack. These Dreams Must Live.
