This game uses the Kingdom Rush series as a template. It has similar layout and logic, including heros, tower types, paths and upgrades design. The graphics are very good and add to the enjoyment of playing the game. It also has its own innovations that all work well, making it something more than "a game you have played before". It takes a lot of talent, skill and programming to put out a game like this one.
It should be noted that this game is pitched to be more difficult than the Kingdom Rush games. I am not sure why they did that, but even the "easy" takes work to get through. This is so after you have gone back and done the rounds on "Medium" and gotten enough strength to move forward. It is slow to move on. Maybe that's not all a bad thing, but there is a lack of balance between progress and difficulty. Also noteworthy is that the upgrade path does not have as many steps as in other games of the same type, including Kingdom Rush. The number of towers is limited to four, but they can be upgraded to newer and different versions in some cases. This may be okay, because, as I understand it from my own experience, people seldom utilize all the towers that are offered. They use a few that they are comfortable with to win the game.
Speaking of my personal experience only, I found the game to be really good, but not quite the level of enjoyment from the "Kingdom Rush" games, after which it is modeled. The bottom line is: If you like the Kingdom Rush Genre, then you will like this game too, but with more frustration.
