Trine is a fantasy action game where the player can create and use physics-based objects to beat hazardous puzzles and threatening enemies. Set in a world of great castles and strange machinery, three heroes are bound to a mysterious device called the Trine in a quest to save the kingdom from evil.
The gameplay is based on fully interactive physics - each character's different abilities help the player battle an army of undead and defeat hazardous contraptions. The player can at any time freely choose whoever is best suited for the upcoming challenge or puzzle: The Wizard is able to summon objects to help solve puzzles and create new ways to overcome obstacles, the Thief uses her agility and dead-on accuracy to swiftly surprise the monsters, and the Knight unleashes mayhem and physical destruction wherever he goes.

Trine (Original Version)
Trine Enchanted Edition also includes the original version of Trine for Windows and Mac. The game version can be selected from the game's launcher.

Great game for couch co-op with bro
way too basic but its a good start point for the devs to build from
Pretty fun with friends, decent challenge to get all achievements but not insurmountable
I have to say no because it's a very short in duration and easy game with some good gameplay elements but nothing new or special.
I played the game originally in 2013, but returned to replay the whole series after finishing Trine 5. Obviously I love the series and consider it one of my all time favourites.
As the game is over 15 years old now, it's understandable that the graphics are a bit outdated compared to newer games of the series. Nevertheless they are amazing, and the maps and their background arts are their own masterpiece.
Great alone and great with friends! Highly recommend!

This is one of my favorite games to play with my kids. It's a simple yet interesting set of puzzles, most of which can be easily overcome as a wizard by carrying other players on a box or plank. Perfect for kids who struggle to learn gaming controls.

Stop trying to sell me a game i already own when i close this game
Cool concept, mediocre execution. Good music, and the Enchanted Edition looks quite nice. The game has serious balancing issues. While the wizard is theoretically the most interesting character, he's completely useless for >90% of the game, especially before he unlocks the triangle. The thief deals far too much damage once she starts unlocking multiple arrows per shot and faster draws, and her fire arrow is pretty much useless beyond utility, which only comes into play for a few minutes in the entire game. Pretty enjoyable either way, although the last two levels are a bit troll.

For the first entry of this game it was rough but worth playing
This reminds me of The Lost Vikings, but very cleaned up with lots of Quality of Life improvements. But the gameplay is similar--you control three different people. They each have different abilities and you need to combine them all in different ways to get through the world and solve puzzles to get past obstacles. It's a fun puzzle game and I enjoyed playint it a lot, it's not frustrating at all.
Considering that my previous reviews for the Trine series had to be deleted, in an attempt to shrug off a hacker, some sort of emotional EMP, or corrupted data, I'll keep this brief. Trine 3 deserves to be completed. The Trine 4 Nightmare Prince DLC I left off at the giant sleeping wizardry girl, where the heroes of Trine said "This is a nice place to stop."
Fairly sure Minecraft's Warden mob was inspired by an electrical and mythological monster in Trine 2.
Something something the world is better in Trine 1 and 2, at the expense of the characters. Trine 3 and 4 the characters are better at the expense of the designed world.
Innovative platformer that puts you in the shoes of mildly likable characters journeying through an enchantingly beautiful fantasy landscape. The backgrounds alone are worth rolling through the game on easy.

All time favorite series. Worked well on my linux box! Funny enough, the windows user in the group had issues.

Where everything started not from a big but from very small and unique. Combined with creative ideas and stuning visuals the series became something more. Clever puzzles and fun interaction with story and characters that pushes to its limits with every titles more and more into greater odyssey. What will comes next after that only time will tell but Trine should be loved and cherished to its core. Open next page of your steps into fairytale sprite.
You can craft 7 planks and 5 boxes at the same just for fun, and thats all u need to know

Such simple yet surprisingly rich amount of fun, presented beautifully too with the update.
just started playing the game , really good fun , makes you think and it has a surprising addiction to what happens next. using different characters in the game to accomplish the level. really enjoyed it and will keep playing, a well thought out game.
A fun blend of fantasy and magic, Trine evokes the timeless charm of a classic fairy tale. Even years after its release, the ability to switch between characters in its platformer setting, each with their own unique mechanics, remains engaging. I’ve spent the first few hours playing in single-player mode, and it’s been a joy. Next on my list? Trying it out in local co-op
