Head out on duty with the entire fire department and take on exciting new missions in "Airport Firefighters: The Simulation". As a member of the busy airport fire department, you and your colleagues work to extinguish large airplane fires and fight through the blazing inferno of the passenger terminal. Drive true-to-life fire engines and tackle blazes with the water cannons. Fight local fires with the fire extinguisher and fog nozzle, squeeze your way through narrow ventilation shafts, and destroy obstacles with your ax to pave your way to freedom.
In your missions you'll be confronted with fallen buildings, burning of-fice wings and gloomy basements flooded with water, as well as downed helicopters and flaming cargo planes too. For the first time in the series, you can control American firefighting vehicles and complete missions as an American firefighter. Would you rather use a gamepad than a keyboard and mouse? No problem!
Objects such as crates and pallets now react to the water jet, letting you pick up, move and destroy them. Various difficulty levels will help you to survive even the diciest of crises. Experience dramatic situations that challenge the hero inside! Wheth-er it's burning engines, an explosion in the passenger terminal or a flaming inferno in the cabin of a jumbo jet – your service counts!

This game is the video game equivalent of the 1986 Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant Disaster
Let it burn.
Story:
You play as John. You awaken to find yourself trapped in a burning building and as the seemingly intense situation becomes more and more dire, you relive your memories of being the new recruit in a Fire Station as you bond with your team, all the complex situations you were involved in as it all leads into the events of your predicament.
The story of Airport Firefighters is absolutely horrible. I really don't understand what is even the point of any of this as it's all basically generic missions tied together with you trying to escape the burning building. I get that it's supposed to be real life, but I would have highly preferred if there was no story instead of one that's incredibly bland and generic and makes the game a slog to play.
Graphics:
Visually the game looks absolutely horrible. You're basically always putting out the same fires in the same buildings and go through the same environments over and over. Low resolution textures make the environment look like they've been abandoned instead of a business place.
One thing I have to mention is how ugly the character models look. They look like they're a mixture of clay and plastic and something about how weird everyone looks and how their mouths move just gave me uncanny valley vibes. Just everything about this game visually is a mess.
Audio:
The audio design is also a mess. I'll begin with the voice acting which is absolutely horrendous. At the beginning of the game you're asked what "units" you want to play as and the choice is either German or American and I chose the US units as I suspected that it actually meant what type of audio you wanted to hear, but everyone has the thickest accent that makes half of the dialogue impossible to understand without subtitles.
However the worst aspect is the actual audio mixing. All of the audio is insanely loud and drowns out everything that's going on. Sometimes the music is too quiet and then sometimes is so loud that it makes hearing dialogue impossible, not that you're missing anything good, but still. The actual music and sounds effects aren't good either, it's just basic intense sounding tracks that sound like they're ripped out of Stock music library.
Gameplay:
You can gather from the name of the game that in this game you play as Firefighters and of course that means putting out fires and saving people from the impending dooms of flames, however calling this game a "simulation" is by far the biggest stretch, as there's not much variety in the scenarios.
The basic gist is this. You have a respirator for the areas with too much smoke, an axe to break down closed off areas which you can't reach otherwise and a fire extinguisher to put out the flames. You also operate fire vehicles which have different types of nozzles attached to them to douse flames that a simple fire extinguisher couldn't put out.
However each mission follows the same structure. You wake up, get in the car, drive to a location and activate your nozzles to put out the flames. Rinse and repeat for two hours and the game is over. There are on foot segments, but that is basically the same, but instead of a vehicle you juggle fire extinguisher, once one runs out, you yank another one off the wall.
The actual firefighting is incredibly boring and most of the items at your disposal are useless and rarely come into play. The respirator is only used twice and the axe is only used barely 4 times. It also doesn't help that the game is so incredibly buggy that the only goal you have in the game is barely achievable. The game has issues with frame rate so you have to tinker with it to actually be able to progress further into the game.
Also the game has no free play option, it's just the campaign. There is a mission mode which is basically the missions from the campaign by themselves, but there's literally no reason to replay them, cause they're so incredibly boring and just incredibly unfun.
Verdict:
Airport Firefighters is a mess. I found the concept cool, but everything about this game is just incredibly horrible. Tedious gameplay, ugly graphics, horrible audio design and just poorly made, it's a game that's not worth your time or your money. Considering how many fire fighting simulations are on steam, you should look elsewhere.

+ The vehicle sections of the game are pretty cool
Cons:
- Audio design is horrible, from terrible voice acting, to terrible audio mixing
- Tons of bugs that won't allow you to progress unless you tinker with the settings
- Most of your equipment is not used and the ones that take up majority are incredibly boring
- Story is incredibly generic and makes barely any sense

I Love This game. I Finished the game And I Love how you made it. it was great thing. Thank you to all the voice actors and andre burger. and rondomedia. and the entire vis crew. its just like Firefighters 2014. but just one problem. the panther florian 9s wheels arent moving only the outer ones so kindly ask you to fix that bug.also thank you northern alex
Definetly no game which should be called a Simulation. If you know a bit about firefighters and there work, you notice not that it not features many realistic content.
It is entertaining for one playthrough, but not again.
A small story based game which you can take for a few Euros in an Sale but nor for 15€.
Not the best game to buy but i give it a 10/10 of trying to be realstic with the situations but i could agree with other people that theirs not much to it i only found this and purchased this by accident because i though this was another game yes i know how dumb of me but hey atleast they get an A for effort.
This game is not too bad. The controls to me where hard, and the graphics where just okay. I give this a 60/100.
Pleasantly surprised by this game concidering the reviews that I was reading.
As far as the actual game was concerned, its not the worst simulator I've played, but definatly not the best.
For first, the thing that I didn't like and slightly annoyed me was the fade to black, mission title, fade to game whenever I reached an area where it had to load something, once or twice sure, but it was getting really repetative.
Besides that I can't really fault this game

An authentic duct crawling simulation and non linear narrative about one man's evolution as an airport firefighter. Bombings, trash can fires, meeting your boss for the first time; this game simply has it all.
The concept to the game is great but some challenges are very hard. Some missions seem imposible, playing the game is like tring to find a needle in a hay stack!! but overall a good game
It is a shame that there aren't more Firefighting games.
As a big fan of Firefighter F.D. 18, Fire Heroes (Hard Luck), and SEGA's Firefighter arcade, I couldn't pass this game up!
Why aren't bigger companies like Capcom, or Namco, or even someone like From Software developing a game like this?
I've never heard of a Fire Department that is stationed on an airport. Must be a European concept...
I have played this game start to finish, and I'm satisfied overall.
When the game works, it is fun- Even exciting.
The main mission is broken up by a series of other missions- They often involve manning the Fire Engines.
If you've played Firefighter 2014, this will help immensely.
The soundtrack is also fairly good on some stages, such as 'Onset of Winter'.
The english voiceovers were cheesy, but clean. They're a good laugh at the very least.
Unfortunately, there are a few issues with the game.
As stated, the Fire Engine control scheme is much more complex. I wished they had used the same exact control scheme as your firefighter.
The game suffers enormous lag whenever more than one character is on the screen.
This can be infuriating at times, because you fail your mission if you don't reach a checkpoint within the time-limit.
These contributed to a majority of my losses. The only other being some of the jumping sections in the game.
Not to mention when you leave the Firestation, every engine in the Dept. acts like a starving wolf chasing a steak.
Nevertheless, definitely glad that Steam gives you access to obscure games like this. If you've got a little cash, and there's a sale- Go for it!
I purchased this game through steam and thought oh cool how fun it would be to play this game well turns out i was ripped off after i found out this game does not offer any on going levels that start from easy to challenging. I was expecting a lot more i like these type of games from Flight simulator to train simulator to Fire fighting simulators and i was hoping for a more difficult challenge. But no i was ripped off by steam and the creator of this game. I been with the fire department family for a long time my mom brother fire fighter was a fire fighter, My dad was a fire fighter and a Lt for the department. I have tried number of times to contact steam about games like this but nothing is done.
As a professional fireman in one of the USA's largest east coast cities, as well as being a big gamer, I can say with authority that this game is terrible. The word "simulation" us used incredibly loosely here. Would it be fun for a little kid? Sure. But as an actual fireman looking for some fire gameplay that was decent, this game fell far short. Very disappointed.
It's a good game don't get me wrong......but for $19.99 it's lacking. I wish it had a mode that you could just be at the station and it would just generate missions. You just play through the story line and that is it. Maybe I'm being too picky but def. try to get this game when it goes on sale, don't feel like I quite got $20 worth. It's fun to play games like this when you do it in real life!!

This game is pretty shit, not going to lie.
if it had a free play it'd probably be alright but the fact it takes you 2hrs to finish the story line then you cannot do anything else but play the 5 minute missions again.
please do not waste your money.
just over 2 hours and completed the game! all you can do now is replay old missions.. would be awsome if they would have stuck the freeplay from the older games in here becouse the grafix are great. Right now tough i would save €20 and just watch a playtrough on youtube instead.
First of all as a firefighter I feel this game is very lame! I feel its for kiddy's instead of gamers! This would be a game my 10 year old would play! As for anyone else thinking of buying this I would hold off!!!! It was a big disapointment for me and I will remember that these types of games get what you pay for!
Missions are boring and short
there are not even 10 missions and most of the missions only take 2 to 3 minutes to complete
game is full of bugs
you can take a firehose out of one of the trucks (no mission needs this its just for show)
and attach it to the back of the truck and now the worst part YOU HAVE A NOSLE IN YOUR HANDS WITH AN INVISIBLE HOSE AND UNLIMITED LENGTH
or the game says enter fire truck 2 but you should enter truck 3
on fire truck 9 when you drive it the iner wheels dont turn
this game feels more like a DEMO
This aint a simulator. No freeplay, you just get thrown into a storyline and have do do as told. Stick with one of the other Airport Firefighter sims out there! Can't reccomend this to anyone....
