Ok. So.
There is a lot of potential here. It's a flying sim in some spherical worlds. It's puzzling, poetic and you can get lost in it.

But.
It's terrifyingly outdated in a lot of ways. It feels like a 2$ game from the nintendo ds store. Unpolished, bad controls, almost impossible to guess puzzles and very poor narration. Just look at the achievements ratio. Barely 50% people reach past the tutorial before giving up completely. 5% finish rate for a ~5h game is something I had never seen before.

It needed test play. More of them. Let's list some basic problems:
- The controls feel buggy, jittery and random (even on controller)
- Most planes exchange maniability for speed and that's a poor design choice when half your game is manoeuvring in small tunnels
- The goal of most area is poorly laid out or hard to understand (following some bird for 2 minutes is not something I find self-explanatory), the in-game helper character don't give you any clues, it's a shame, that would have been great.
- There is so much things to collect everywhere but feels aimless as most of it don't matter
- Color and lighting are a miss. The game feels grey most of the time and areas all look alike when they should not

It was a mostly painful 7 hours, considering I also could not get two achievements because they never triggered.

Once you get the hang of the orientation and the way the presentation of the game is laid out, the game is actually a fun little hidden gem. not perfect by any stretch of the word, but seasoned "weird game" players will find something fun with this

definitely not motion sickness friendly, but a beautiful game and so fun to play with a controller!! people talking about the controls being bad confuse me, it seemed really smooth and nice to me

Bought this dirt cheap and thought I'd see if the keyboard/mouse controls are really that awful. Oh lord yes, yes they are. Somewhat better after I rebound the keys to what my fingers thought they should be.
It's still more of a "fly around aimlessly and confused, maybe stumble into stuff to progress at some point" sim. But I mean. That doesn't have to be a bad thing.

I'm surprised at the mixed reviews. Reading through them, my guess is that Inner Space requires a controller and a strong stomach. If you don't get sick easily from games and you like the idea of flying for exploration's sake, you'll likely enjoy this game.

I think the sheer number of collectibles is unnecessary, but the core gameplay is fun and it feels good to improve your skills. Took me about 4 hours, ran perfect on Steam Deck, looked beautiful and unique, really scratched an itch for a non-combat, not-on-rails flight game.

Pc users, you will struggle. Looks like a beautiful game but the pc controls make it nearly unusable, having to button mash the keyboard in the tutorial alone given it doesn't tell you what the controls are (and the assignment follows no logic), only to be stuck at the first level. Probably much better on switch. Got it on sale, wouldn't pay full price.

Terrible controls. Why not use mouse movement to steer — I have no idea...

Hey buddy if you are reading this plsss pisten to my advice for sure the game ok in some senerio based on preference of player but if you want some good indie game plsss don't buy this crap this is good for the children between age 2 to 9 year old but not for us so keep in mind don't regret it later like me so bye bye

This game is a calming exploration of stunning, inverted worlds where gravity is turned inside out. The visuals are mesmerizing, and the ambient soundtrack adds to the relaxing atmosphere. It's perfect for those who enjoy a more meditative gaming experience, focusing on discovery rather than action.
