I enjoyed this HOG a lot. It was a fun game and not at hard to complete.
Short but sweet. The plot is almost non-existent, but the puzzles and setting are unique and enjoyable. Some were even quite challenging, and I got a special thrill when I managed to solve them. ^-^
Game was much shorter than expected, but the art was good. luckily i got this game on sale for less than $2.
simple and short and satisfying classic hog
When you are pure of heart... You can save many people and a whole island!
This game doesn't do the "do three million backtracks"... It shows you where you can click on things... You usually stick close to one area to resolve the issues... Sorry, "putting things into other things". There.
The story is understandable and actually better than some other H.O.G.s I played, so don't be surprised.
I did this game faster than I thought and was really proud because... It made me feel good!
So I likalikalika!!!!!!! LIKAAAAAAAA! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! =) :3 :)
The game was well paced and fun. Some of the challenges/puzzles needed more hints instead of skips. And the solutions should remain on the screen longer.
Very short game with little to no re-play value (especially if you get all the puzzles on your first run)
Interesting and pretty, even if kinda dated photo-bashed and digitally painted graphics. Great way to spend an evening with some light puzzles. You (almost) never return to an area, so you won't spend much time backtracking and getting lost looking through your options.
The story is simple and straightforward. While I wish there was more information about the world the floating island came from, the main storyline gets a satisfying enough ending.
If you have some spare money and an hour or two - pretty good choice
Point 'n click adventure with fixed scenarios slash hidden object... not from Artifex Mundi! xD
This goes more heavily towards find, fetch and use objects in the right places rather than hidden object... which only shows up a couple of times in the game. But the fantasy story is a bit reminiscent of the style of game, plus the fact that you go back and forth finding stuff, using and combining... it all fits the genre well.
If you like this type of game, there isn't much to criticize here.
Recommended!
Two hours of easy play on expert mode.
Ps, you don't have to "Like" them on FB to get the achievement. Just click the button like you are going to and then don't.
This game has been on my wishlist years back when I first started playing Hidden Object games on mobile, now that I've played this I have to admit I have played better. It's a nice game and I won't put it down, nice graphics and okay plot but there's always room for improvement, this one just didn't leave a big impact on me. It's defiantely one for my Hidden Objects collection.
Likes:
- Graphics - the art style is lovely
- Puzzles - This game contains some puzzles I haven't tried before which is great compared to many HO that reuse puzzles and contain vague descriptions. Some of them a quite a bit challenging
- Not much backtracking - this something I appreciate, many of the smaller HO games back track more than you need, this game only has minimal backtracking

I really enjoyed this game. Simple story. Puzzles often seem standalone. They are challenging however. But they are never the "how am is supposed to know that?" type. Really like the detail and crispness of the artwork. Often the artwork is muddy, for some reason on these kinds of games. But not here. Overall design of UI and look of screen is very good too.
I'd say this is normal difficulty. I did need a teeny bit of help on one puzzle.
Not a long game, but worth the price.
I encountered no bugs or glitchy situations.
Fairly basic puzzle game. Nothing groundbraking. Puzzles are mostly very easy except for a few sliding puzzles which you either love or hate.
Story feels rushed. The main character comes to immediate conclusions about certain things without reasoning. Almost as if the story was an after-thought or the devs didn't want us to use too many braincells.
Graphics are fine. Puzzles, while simple, are enjoyable and the hidden object parts are done well. Not too much pixel hunting. Can be 100% completed in one evening.
Inbetween Land is a point-and-click, hidden object adventure game, and seemingly one of Specialbit's earlier games. The artstyle of this game looks older and not as "fresh" compared to Stormhill Mystery and The Last Dream. However, I quite like it! It plays the same as the other 2 games, finding objects, combining fragmented ones, puzzles, etc to progress.
We play as an unnamed woman looking for her friend Mary, who's obsessed with a mysterious floating island above the city and one day disappeared after seemingly finding her way there. The island has beautiful, retro-steampunk-ish aesthetics which I really like. There are puzzles to solve as well, some of them quite difficult, but skippable if you don't care about achievements. Otherwise, just consult a guide or keep trying.
Two things I really like about this game and unavailable in the other 2 Specialbit games are the journal and the ability to "see" interactable objects. The journal shows what our character thinks while solving the mystery of the floating island, and the ability to see interactable objects highlights items with arrows showing that we can interact with it. This doesn't count as using a hint, so don't worry. However, there is no "fast travel" map so you might have to backtrack quite often if you're not careful.
My problem with this game is that it's too short and there are no bonus chapters. A short chapter about Mary discovering the island and getting trapped there would be nice. The notification for journal updates are also too subtle, and I forgot to read the last entries since this game is so gripping. Adding a complete, readable journal after finishing the game would be good, since after you finish it the game just resets itself and you will play from the beginning again. But it's still a very good, very cheap adventure game, so if you like these kind of games, no reason to not get it.
It's an old game but still worthwhile playing. It's got FROGs and lots of rather interesting puzzles.
(Would have been nice to be able to access those separately in extras.)The artwork isn't that great
but pleasant enough, and the puzzles more than make up for lack of beauty.
Since it's old trading cards are cheap. Good opportunity for badges.
From start to end, in the expert mode with no hints, this game will take you on a three hour jaunt through a simple story with lovable graphics. The puzzles should keep you entertained, and a few are downright nasty (the last one in particular).
The one thing I want to point out, and explain why I'm rating this as "no, don't buy" is the fact that you need to like the author of the game on Facebook, in order to get 100% completion on Steam.
I already paid for your game, and this is a crap trick. Stop it.

Fazit
Inbetween Land bietet dir ein packendes Fantasy-Abenteuer, welches dir eine einzigartige Geschichte liefert.
This was a very enjoyable adventure game. As with most HOGS, it was mostly a point-and-click adventure, but there were many and varied puzzles in it. Anyone who has played "The Room 3" (or similar games) will enjoy it very much. There was decent voice acting, the graphics were enjoyable and served the puzzles well, and there were no glitches or problems. I was able to achieve all 27 achievements in about 3 hours. Two thumbs up!
This is a puzzle game, not a HOG. There's no HO in this. Still, a 70/100 effort.
The good
Challenging puzzles
Great sense of progression
Well-drawn graphics
Thumping music (at times)
The bad
Far out story
Arguably too many puzzles
Minimal replay value
While Inbetween Land has only been available on Steam since 2015, I believe it was actually first released in 2012 and to be honest it actually feels somewhat older than that. It's far from pretty, has some fairly bad hit detection, especially noticeable when playing a hidden object scene and is rather short.
The Good.
- Has voice acting.
- Has a decent story, even if it is a little cheesy.
- Interesting twist on hidden object scenes that involve finding object parts to make items which are then used in the scene.
- 18 Mini-game puzzles.
- Quite a lot of the puzzles have a random solution which makes for a more challenging than usual game (a guide will not always help you).
- No games of dominoes, solitaire or other gimmick forcing you to play the game twice for 100% achievements.
- No collectables.
The Bad.
- Only 5 hidden object scenes.
- Hit box detection, especially in hidden object scenes is really bad.
- Low resolution.
- 5:4 Aspect.
- Dated graphics.
- Quite a lot of the puzzles have a random solution which makes for a more challenging than usual game (a guide will not always help you).
- Short, only offering about 2 hours gameplay (longer if you struggle with logic puzzles).
A thumbs up, only just, but I would advise purchasing on sale or in a bundle.

This was a game that grew on me as I played. At first, I disliked it, but came to appreciate the effort put into it. The graphics are dated, but would have been quite advanced years ago. Storyline is weak. Music ok. The theme is steampunk which is quite unique.
It was the variety of puzzles that really stretched my brain. I only skipped one, but had to look up a couple online as the instructions weren't clear. There were few HO scenes which were fragmented and interactive. You have a lot to do in this game which keeps boredom at bay!
I played this on normal setting and got 4 hours of play. There is a little backtracking, but not too much as there isn't a map. 7/10.
This game was a fun-sized snack of a game. Buy it on sale, and expect a simplistic plot and simple but pretty puzzles.
7/10
NOTE: I'm deducting a full point, because they made two Achievements require liking the game on Facebook (1 for liking, 1 for getting all other Achievements). Noone and nothing gets that from me - I loathe Facebook's Like system.
Hummm. What to say about this game? I'm glad I got it super cheap? Don't let my play time for this game fool you - I forgot to pause and ended up leaving the game running for ages. It is in fact a really short game. I would say it is more of a puzzle story than a hidden object game. The story is a bit bland. I'll give it a solid meh and throw in an apethetic shrug.
At the sale price of $2-$4 it is a short but decent HOG. For those who like the HOG genre, this game is much more of a pure puzzle game than it was about hidden objects. In fact the only hidden objects are the kind where you have to find sets of pieces that go together to form items to help you find other set items on the same screen. Most of the puzzles were easy, but some did take a little bit of time. Nothing super innovative but not bad either.
All in all, the story was actually OK and the graphics were certainly solid. So if you are prepared for a pretty short puzzle game then it was a good moments diversion.
A fine little hidden object game. Everything is in balance, beautiful graphics, no too complicated or illogical puzzles. Unlike some other games this one keeps you focused. You always know where to go and what to do. There are some minor glitches in the interface, but nothing catastrophic. Well done.
